I don't know how all of you are posting the sprites but has anybody seen Venemoth? Boy has it come a long way! Most noted is from gen 1 to gen 2, big improvement.

The first Moltres reminded me of Fearow at first, but yeah, it progressed well. Good job Moltres .

I really find myself drawn towards the second Generation sprites, simply because I like the poses (like Silver Mew and Gold Jigglypuff). I like revamping them and "restoring" (I guess that's the right word) the most, even if they do have those crazy dots.
To complete the Legendary Birds, I've got Articuno's for show.
Silver (#4) is my favorite.
In case your wondering, the order is: Red/Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Fire Red/Leaf Green, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Heart Gold/Soul Silver, and finally Black/White.

Musta been looking at this thread late at night, because a few nights ago, I had a dream, if I did a Shiny Pokemon hack on my Pokemon Black game, the Pokemon would be second Gen. Sprites. I actually found it pretty cool, because the rest of the game was normal.

Everytime I saw vulpix in HG/SS I was put off that it's sprite is just like farting right in you're face. That put me off lol.
Sometimes when I'm feeling depressed I look at the old Pokemon sprites and laugh myself back to sanity.
Like it's pre-evo Pikachu, Raichu has undergone a lot of changes.
I like a lot of older sprites.
I wish Machamp had kept his horns from Blue. He's gotten a bit more human each generation.

I don't like that machamp is becoming more anthropomorphic. It used to be a reptilian monstrosity. Now it looks like something you would see in a superman comic.
I love the Gold Raichu sprite (the third one). It looks fat and angry.
I do find it interesting that Raichu kept its white stomach while Pikachu lost its white stomach (even though it was yellow in the RB sprites, very early art had Pikachu with its white stomach).

I seem to like Butterfree's Most recent sprite. The I never seem to like the old ones. :/
