SSB Brawl Discussion Thread

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

But does it make sense that he watches them get shot and makes them keep battling?

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

Does it make sense that you get shot a million times, and don't die, but fall into the water and do? Does it make sense that you can breath in space? Does it make sense that Kirby exists in the semi-rational word of captain Falcon? Does it make sense that all these characters would just start beating each other up for the fun of it?
NO!

Then why should that make sense?

So much win.

We take it way too seriously?
We're not the ones complaining about about how a character lets his imaginary creatures get damaged in battle.

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

i like thsi betting system! this will be a very good feature!

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

I cant wait to find out the sonic stage. itll probs be greens zone 1.

hope its awesome

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

Baby Bowser currently has one of the best chances of getting in. He's really popular with people but I wish the brought Falco back because he is better than Fox.

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

I wouldn't be surprised if Falco returned. He has an adequate fanbase, and one of the few other StarFox characters I could imagine being in the game, other than Krystal, or Star Wolf (although I'm pretty sure Fox has an alternate color that looks pretty much exactly like Star Wolf). Personally I wanna see a Peppy Hare assist trophy - "Do a barrel roll!"

unsticking the last post of chansey-master's and again stating that knuckles would be a great new character (he can do the cool glidy-thingy technique)

It may be a level like Capt. Falcons stages were in both Melee and the first game because Sonic is a very fast moving character so his speed will be right a home if they have a level like that. There will be a moving platform similar to Falocon to ge the same idea but will be a Sonic level. They are probably still working on the level or levels so it will be the best ones yet to date.:)

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

Spectator.... okay.

Shadow's an alternate costume of Sonic? Oh, please give me that link. =D

Psycho_Trainer, just becuase Bowser Jr. isn't popular where you live doesn't mean anything. I mean, I had never even heard of Ike or Lucas, but they're in.

Oh, and, I can think of about a billion moves for Bowser Jr., that are seperate from Bowser's.

Doesn't anyone else want Princess Shroob to be in? Doesn't anyone think she'd make an awesome character? Does anyone even care? Please answer. >:[

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

It's tough to see, but in this video of four Sonics, you can see one that is colored like Shadow.

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

Argh, the video won't work for me. I'll try again later.

Please give me some opinions on Princess Shroob being a character, everyone. I want her to be a character so badly, that I have all the special moves, taunts, a Final Smash, a stage, and Assist Trophies planned out for her. ;/

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

Even though I only know who Krystal is because of her name, I wouldn't be surprised to see her in simply because she's a girl. We need more girls, which is another reason why Daisy NEEDS TO BE IN BRAWL. OMG I CANNOT STRESS IT ENOUGH. In fact here's a set I came up with that would be perfect for Daisy's in-your-face attitude.

A - A punch. Not a slap, a punch. Tap quickly to punch with the other hand, and another tap results in a third punch. Subsequent taps results in a flurry of punches (think Link's endless sword jabs, Falcon's punches, Fox's kicks, etc.) Initial punch is 3%, second punch is 2%, third punch is 2%, subsequent punches in the combo do 1% each. weak knockback
tilt side A - A mid-range kick, 5% damage, weak knockback
running side A - A backflip kick, two hits, 3-4% each, weak knockback
down A - leg sweep. Knocks the enemy upwards a little bit. 3% damage

smash up A - A strong upwards punch. 12-16% damage, knocks the enemy up a decent height.
smash down A - Daisy brings one leg back and kicks forward with great force. It hits low-medium range, and has decent knockback. 20-22% damage
smash side A - Daisy hits a tennis ball that explodes when it hits the enemy. The length of the charge determines how hard the ball is hit. An immediate launch causes an underhand swing that hits low-medium range, causing 12-15% damage with weak knockback. The resultant explosion is weaker and has splash damage potential. A full charge causes a strong overhead strike that hits medium-high range, causing 25-30% damage. The resultant explosion causes high knockback and is capable of KOing the foe. The explosion also causes splash damage. Daisy is invincible while tossing the ball, but not while she's swinging. The ball can be caught. It does 8-9% if it hits, with weak knockback.

air A - Nothing flashy, just a kick that does 6-8% damage. This is a sex kick.
air up A - A headbutt using the crown. It does 9-11% damage and has moderate knockback.
air forward A - Daisy turns around and kicks using both legs. Does 12-14% damage and has high knockback. It is semi-slow to execute (think Ganondorf's air forward A in terms of execution time).
air back A - Daisy backhands the area behind her. It does 8-12% damage and has weak-moderate knockback.
air down A - Daisy raises a leg a little and brings one foot down hard onto the enemy. It does 10-13% damage. This is a meteor smash.

B - Flower Shield - Daisy extends her arms to both sides; daisies as tall as Daisy are emitted from her hands. These will block and reflect all projectiles that hit them. If the enemy is hit by the shields, he will suffer moderate knockback and take 3-5% damage. This does not protect Daisy from hits caused directly overhead.
side B - Ice Punch - Daisy punches the foe with a fist encased in ice. This can be charged. Does 12-23% damage depending on the charge. If fully charged, this will freeze the foe. The knockback is mild to strong depending on the charge.
down B - Crystal Shockwave - Daisy punches the ground, creating a shockwave that launches forward, dwindling in strength and intensity as it progresses along the ground. It stops when it hits a wall, or an edge. This can be charged. It does multiple hits depending on how close the enemy is to Daisy when the move is performed. With no charge, this move does 4-5% for each hit; at maximum charge, each hit does 12-15% damage. Regardless of damage, it has mild to moderate upwards knockback. This move cannot be performed in the air.
up B - Petal Pillar - A pillar of white petals pushes Daisy in one direction held, then launches her in a second direction held. (Think Pikachu's up B.) When used on the ground, the petals will slow opponents and grounded projectiles. If on the ground, the petals will dissipate after a few seconds.

grab attack - A knee to the midsection. 2-3% damage.
up throw - A simple throw upwards. 5-8% damage
forward throw - Daisy sets the foe down, then knocks him away with a golf club. This is inescapable once performed. 4-7 damage
back throw- Daisy falls backwards, bringing her enemy up and over her head to be launched. 7-10% damage
down throw - Daisy jumps into the air and delivers an elbow drop. 6-9% damage

taunt 1 - Daisy spins around, says, "Hot stuff!," licks her thumb and presses it to her side, and imitates a sizzle.

taunt 2 - Daisy crosses her arms and says, "Is that all you got? Huh??"

taunt 3 - Daisy rests her hands on her knees, breathing heavily, and says, "Wow, you're really strong..." She then stands up, "NOT!" Then she laughs.

Final Smash - Daisy Chain - Daisy attempts to grab a foe with a long chain made from daisy stems. Any foe caught in the chain will be completely bound by it. Said foes suffer a flurry of punches and kicks, followed by an uppercut with an explosive roundhouse kick finish. Any foe caught can expect to take anywhere from 80-110% damage with this move, which has extreme knockback. Barring interception by another player, item, or wall, you will most certainly die. If the chain misses, too bad so sad, better luck next time.

Daisy is so perfect. If she is not in Brawl I will cry. :[

RE: The official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread.

to reply to togeshroob: i don't know who that princess shroob is, so i can't say i want her in or out...but if you could give me a link to a file where i can see who she is etc, then i can say in or out...first of all: which game is she from? (i suck at names, so it is possible i have seen her before, but just can't remember the game or something like that)
as for the bowser jr. stuff, i already admitted i was wrong in the case, so leave it at that please?

to pimpwalking: you really have put some work into this haven't you? as i suspected: the moves she would have are more aggresive then peache's, and i do like the movenames and effects :d:d
her FS seems a bit overpowered, although it can miss like metaknight's FS...so i guess it would be ok...
so overall, it would be possible :d:d

to c-m: If falco does return, then he would have a totally different moveset then in melee...otr fox's moveset should be totally different as they said "no clones"...so they can't be alike...and in melee, they were practically twins...and seeing that fox's special moves stayed, i'm wondering what falco could get for specials...and i saw fox has his smashes from melee too, so they would have to change that too for falco's moveset...he would also lose his gun if he is to reappear...
but honestly: just like link and young link: i think only one will return, and that one is fox...
unless you can give me a totally different moveset for falco....
as for peppy hare as an AT...i think it would be hilarious!! :d:d *do a loop!!*
as for krystal, i wouldn't mind having her in brawl: she has psychic ( i know, more telepathic then anything else, but still...) powers etc, so she could rely on them to do special moves...i wouldn't know what to give her otherwise:p

greets,
psycho
