Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U

Nah it is fine. He just does not fit the Smash Bros Roster? How does a dog actually attack other than growl and bite LOLz.:)

With that logic, why add sonic? All he does is run around. Duck hunt is the exact embodiement of smash. He and mario saved the NES and brought back gaming. Smash is all about unique and fun characters, including obscure. Whether it be from classics, or just randomness, everyone has a chance. (G&W for example). DHD is the one character you would never expect, and nobody saw it coming either. This newcomer is one I am excited about.

That's awesome. Yeah I never expected this but I expected Sonic because people made a fake Sonic and Tail cheat in Melee and people tried it and it did not work. It was the trick where you had to beat so many wire frames in Melee to unlock them and that never happened. The cheat was for Cruel Melee mode IRC XD.:)

Oh, yep. It's Duck Hunt Duo. That'll take some getting used to.

Two days for everyone who doesn't already have the Japanese version and whose local stores are good boys and girls and not breaking street date...! ALL ABOARD

Yeah no cheating guys. Wait for the official release date even if the stores leak the games early. Download from the eshop as well.:) If you can hold off for smash get the new Pokemon games first if you can. If you can get both do it XD.:)

I guess spoiler tags don't exist anymore so I'm sorry for everyone who ends up seeing these pages and gets spoiled unintentionally, thinking it would be safe here.

Welp, seeing as how nothing is sacred anymore, I might as well...

Ash, even though people are getting Smash a few days early, that does not mean that you can get ORAS this early. It's still in development most likely. Approximately 70% chance of being still in development, so if someone happened to get a copy of it already then its either a demo or... They are a time lord. Also, eShop download will be devastating for the first week or so of the game's release. Remember X and Y? Now multiply that by 6. There you go.

As far as the Duck Hunt Duo go, I'll still call them "Duck Hunt" since that stuck to me like the name of a band or team. I also kinda think it would've been nice to name it Hunter too since you sometimes do moves as the hunter (such as Trick Shot), and the dog is also participating in the hunt. Actually, that reminds me... I was going to draw all the Sm4sh roster in the style of lots of different manga artists. I dunno why it just reminded me lol.

In other news (ok, not really news as much as ideas and theories), I feel that it IS possible that Sm4sh will release DLC (maybe even just Wii U exclusive) containing Stages, Songs, Costumes/colors, and POSSIBLY custom moves. Here's how I see it working...
They release Christmas costume DLC with some new colors and costumes for some characters, as well as 3 new Mii parts. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Link, Toon Link, and a couple others could get Christmas costumes and the Mii could get a Santa hat, a Santa suit, and some Christmas weapons. They could also release a wintery stage or two from some games, or snowy alternates of some. Basically, each DLC could be in a big pack, usually themed, and there would be a patch for every one that comes out. Basically, it would be sorta like with Mario Kart 8. They could also occasionally do a character or two like this as well.

Yeah Smash comes out in about 4 ish hours for me and I hope I can get the game sometime soon but not sure when I can since I am waiting for the new Pokemon games. I so can't wait to use Charizard once I get the game for 3DS. The 3DS has had the coolest games within the last year or so.:)

So Super Smash Bros 3DS comes out here in Australia in less than 24 hours, and I've been warming up on the demo today. You'll never guess what happened to my 3DS today though:

I'm not a crazy Smash gamer - I play low level matches and don't exactly button-mash like a maniac. Playing the demo for the past few weeks has been the most use this thumbstick has gotten since Animal Crossing: New Leaf came out. Be careful when you play this game!

But now I'm torn... do I spent $210 on a preowned 3DS XL tomorrow when I get the full Smash Bros 3DS game? Or do I wait a month and spend $250 on a New 3DS XL then? The nub left behind where the thumbstick used to be is kinda like the C-stick and isn't exactly bad to use, but still.. you can see the cracks on the back of the thumbstick. The nub is hard, rough plastic. Super Smash Bros 3DS comes out tomorrow.

Is your system still under warranty? If it is send it in for repair. It is cheaper to have it repaired as well. If they can't fix it they will replace your system. You might only pay $150.00 and 2 weeks to have it fixed. If it is not under warranty. Looks like the stick is made for solo movement so use the pad. Sounds like problems similar to the Wii U except no broken TV's just sticks. Anyhow we will have to figure out a way to play this game without using the stick. The odd thing I have never had problems ever like this before. You guys may not know your own strength XD. Don't use force on the stick or it will break. Use the same force as you would when playing X/Y. We should create a thread for issues with the 3DS/Wii. Mods can one be made so we don't get off topic again? Anyway I need to try the demo myself to see how much pressure is needed to move. Try pressing and releasing. Like move and release before pushing in the attack direction and do a test with your fingers and thumb to see how much strength you need on the stick to move your character and how to attack.:)

EDIT: I forgot to mention we need sticks like the N64 and GCN have. Those systems had excellent sticks and never broke. Well for me anyway.:)

I'm not sure how much it actually costs to repair (it really doesn't seem like it should be that expensive), but if it's real money, here's my advice. Call Nintendo customer service (CALL, not email) and complain. Don't get angry or anything (in fact, they seem to like the super polite types), but push your problem and don't immediately accept "sorry we can't do anything if you don't give us X amount of money" for an answer. I had a problem with my Wii when it was 5 years over warranty and got them to fully replace the console--for free. Maybe it was a one-time thing, but I've heard other good stories about their customer service so I'd at least try.

Oh, also, IT'S FINALLY HERE PEOPLE. Gonna be playing it pretty much all day after school tomorrow with friends, looking forward to it.

Super glue.

Really.

IT COMES OUT TOMORROW, GET HYPE AND THAT DAY ONE TOURNEY

Just gotta wait for the mall to open so I can go get it.

Just picked it up from GameStop at a midnight launch. Downloading an update right now. So excited!!!!!

Yay, excitement! I never downloaded the demo, but I do hope to pick up the full game on Saturday when I go out shopping with my husband. :)

Question for those of you who have it now or know from the demo: Is it possible to play locally with two (or more) people and 3DSes but only 1 cart? If so, how? Is there a download play option or something like on the DS?

Getting this for my brother tomorrow in the Am. Can't promise him it'll be sealed when he gets out of school though... lol. Haven't played Super Smash bros in a while.

I do believe it's been confirmed that Smash Bros 3DS does NOT support download play, unfortunately.

IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! Well, I don't have it yet, but I plan to buy it on my lunch break. I'm super pumped! Happy smashing, everyone.

So, is there a way to adjust the number of lives you have? 2 is the default. Occasionally I lose both lives to Master Hand at the final stage of classic mode, and need to use coins to continue. I don't see any option to change the number of lives. If there is, how do I do it?

Ok so I got Snash from eShop at 7pm PST somehow and it's still Duck Hunt, not Duck Hunt Duo. Also, I made a brawler grandma Mii and I can't even stop lmao
