RE: TCG ONE - full featured online pokemon tcg simulator [CAREER MODE Live]
I have also been playing this simulator for months. The gameplay is simple and straight forward. As recent as 5 days ago, career mode has been added and has truly fulfilled my nostalgic needs for pokemon.
Mainly, the booster opening sequences are what we all love. Just as we collected money as kids, you earn in-game currency, save up, and purchase your choice of booster between Base/Jungle/Fossil/Rocket. All ten cards in the booster back are face down and with each click you turn a card over in whatever order you choose (Rares on top left). For those who are picky about this experience will complain about there only being 10 cards when it should be 11, but really, its just the picky.
As far as energies found in packs, they are more scarce than they should. I often times get no energies. I actually have NO problem with the energies being scarce, as long as at least one comes in a pack. Reason being, the "Market" feature allows all users to sell any cards they choose that they "own" in their respective inventory. THIS is why I love career mode If a new deck is to be made, you just have to buy from the market. It keeps the biggest part of pokemon TCG alive, **TRADING**. If you need energies ask somebody, if you are not using a type of energy, just sell them. Broken and over used cards will be less accessible this way.
One thing that needs to be looked at, is the inventory of the people who have high points is obviously much larger than those who are just starting. Their decks have many upgraded cards (gust, energy removal, computer search, and better pokemon). I am on of those players with a lot of points. I beat just about everybody I play and its almost always due to the lack of cards my opponent has. Not sure how to address the situation or the work needed to fix it. There is an idea out there that has been practiced in gaming forever though, and that is to decrease the amount of points earned by higher level players (ie. instead of the high level player earning 30 for win over his outmatched opponent, how about 15 win points). Or each level decreases points earned by 2? I have talked to the admin of the site about it, and he is looking into it, though he said it is a complicated situatioin. I have faith in him though.
Really, if you loved the old school pokemon and battling, there is NO reason you shouldnt be on this site. You are missing out!!
