RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

I'm talking about Takuto.dec? Like Luxray Honchkrow SP's?

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

Hey guys, I'm really looking at playing Suns/Moons for CC's. [Lunatone/Solrock if you couldn't figure that out. :p] Lunatone SV gives all of my Lunatone/Solrock in play TOTAL IMMUNITY from Lv. X's. This automatically shuts down GlisTomb, AMU, and other decks that rely on Lv. X's. But I'm not sure what I can do to cover it's weaknesses. Playing this deck straight up would result in total abuse from: Gengar, GeChamp, Macheap, Flygon, FlyChamp, and Speedrill. I figure Mewtwo Lv. X could kill all the SP's that I want, but I don't know what to do against all the other decks. Any ideas?

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

Pokekid Brandon and Zangoose, please lengthen your posts. If you fail to comply with my request, I will Ban you temporarily until you get it.

EDIT: Lenny and I have decided to agree to disagree. I'm letting him go because he dosen't care much anymore and doesn't believe he will do anything for us anyway. So I am recruiting a new Distinguished member, new or currently on the team. I'm going to decide when I feel I have chosen the right person.

Interesting deck idea. Suns and Moons suffers extensively from the fact it can only pop out 60 damage for two Energy without any form of damage modifiers. It seems that Solrock SV as your main attacker would work well. Lunasol GE engine allows you to constantly discard and do 60 damage a turn, providing you can search for it every turn and discard it and repeat while milling through your deck. I'd recommend playing three Unown G just to counter Machamp and Gengar, and as for Flygon, spread for 30 to each Pokemon they have in play for the win. The main issue with the deck lies in the fact that the deck doesn't have a very good damage output. Definitely put in some Pluspowers, Crobat Gs, and Poke-Blower +s. You need to be able to two-hit KO whatever they throw at you. As for yourself, your low HP is a problem. I recommend Snowpoint Temple for some extra survivability, and maybe even one or two Expert Belt (the problem lies in when you face Macheap and have to attach Unown G).

Suns and Moons probably would do best as a milling deck that can two-hit KO most threats and be able to live long enough to net a win. That is how I would play the deck. Of course, Snowpoint Temple helps SPs, but as you said before you've got Mewtwo for that.

That is what I have thought of for the deck. There are probably better ideas out there, but hey, at least I tried. I wish you good luck with your Suns and Moons deck!

Ok but just curious, how am I suposed to make that longer, It was not like that was spam to any means, I was asking a question so I could possibly give advice to his deck.

The only problem that I see is that they are VERY Fragile. Anything that can set up should be able to 1 hit you while you 2 hit them. You might get ahead in the begging but later decks like flygon will just be able to rip through.

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

This is true TPo3. You are going to need E-Belt, maybe buffer piece(to give you more "health"), and other various things, like maybe Snowpoint temple. Otherwise, your just going to get constantly one shot.

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

I'll edit my deck into PokeChamp's ideas. They're good ones. E-belt will be a good idea, whenever I get some. I'll have to proxy them now, but maybe i'll pick some up before cities.

The one thing I don't like about E-belt [but it's not a huge thing] is that Flygon and InferRay will still OHKO me, but take 2 prizes instead. I'll have to get something on those two. [maybe ditto? o_O]

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

Yay! I've found my PokeTurns. But I still have a few choices for cities. Here they are:

Garchomp/NidoQueen

The point of the deck is to tank with 'Chomp while setting up a 'Queen. Play PokeHealer+'s to tank even further. Garchomp X is for spread and bringing back dead 'Chomp's. Bounce back there energy's with 'Chomp and Guard Claw/Speed Impact for the tank/kill.

Luxray.dec

The point of this deck is to use Luxray GL lv X as a 2-2 to maximize the chances of Bright Looking. Use Bright Look for easy prizes, aka Crobats, already weak things, Uxie and the list goes on and on. Use Honchkrow G with Crobats for massive Target Attacks. Helps against stage two decks via the low HP basics that they have.

Absol G

The point of this deck is to hopefully start with a Honchkrow G to grab whatever you need Power Sprayz help soooooo much in this deck. Absol can darkness slugger + a Skuntank G or a Crobat drop the following turn = a dead Gengar + an avoided Fainting Spell. Mewtwo for other SP's and Bannette for Mewtwo. Uxie X is for Machamp.

Thoughts?

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

@Zangoose: I would use the Luxray deck, but I would go with 3-1 instead of 2-2, because Luxray GL itself is a good attacker, and you've already got PokeTurns to use Bright Look extra times.

Congrats to Mudkip for making the team and being our newest distinguished member!

Forgot to add a rule:

If you were turned down by application, we will not accept you again.

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

When I read the topic, it made me depressed. I now realize how far States is away. :[
I have NO clue what to play for cities. My newest fun deck is Jumpluff HG. <3

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

What is the strategy in that, if you dont mind ma asking? I mean I know its a bunch of pokemon, but do you run Cherrim? If so, is it PA Cherrim for tankability?

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

Darkrai master is right. I play the SF Cherrim for power boost, and Shaymin Lv.X for tankness. In total I play Jumpluff line, Shaymin Lv.X, 1-0-1 Nidoqueen, Claydol, Uxie because the first attack of Jumpluff does 10x the Pokemon in play. At my league on Saturday I played someone that played Gyra, and with the Cherrim I kept OHKO'ing it. :D

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

NOICE. Sounds kinda fun actually. What is its speed? Like T1 set up, T2 set up, what? And how does it fair in the:
Early-Mid-Late game?

Lol sorry for asking so much, but it really sounds interesting.

RE: Team Hurricane- The storm is coming

It's no problem. It gets set-up nice. Usually T1 (if you go second) but if not T2. It get's better late game because you and your opponent will have more benched Pokemon for more damage. The other nice thing is is that you can attack with Uxie and Shaymin Lv.X if you need to.
