Im a new member to this group, hi guys. Ocarina of time is better on the 3ds because of better graphics and the 3d really works in cutscenes. Also link looks a hell a lot cooler in the remake. But if you can't afford that makes sense. On a side note I got the soundtrack. Also a new Kirby game is coming out. This time it's not like epic yarn. It's multiplayer! One persons kirby the others are metanite, king dedede, and waddle dee. They all have different moves. On top of that some of the moves are crazy and take up the whole screen. It's going to be for the wii. I'm highly anticipating it. You guys should watch the trailer. For the discussion topic, I think a lot of people are looking forward to kid Icarus. I know I am. I'll probably get it on release date.

I agree and disagree on Ocarina of Time.
Yes, the cutscenes are much better, and the graphics are much better.
But, some things have changed, the water temple is easier, for example(at least, that's what I hear, I haven't reached there in the original yet)
I am VERY exited about the new kirby game, the multiplayer sounds amazing!
Kid Icarus though, just looks like game of whatever year it comes out in.

Woah, this team is open again! :O

As for the 3DS, I think that it's popularity will greatly increase with some of these games:

• Mario Kart 3DS
• Star Fox 64
• Pokemon Rumble BLAST
• Kid Icarus – Uprising

And I think that Ocarina of Time has already helped it.

As for the Kirby game, I've been looking forward to my first Kirby release of my time. See, when I picked up Kirby Air Ride, that got me into the Kirby series. And the only Kirby game released since I got it was Kirby's Epic Yarn, which, from what I can tell, doesn't really match the earlier Kirby game feel, as you can't suck up enemies.

These five games will probably make me get a 3DS! I thought the new Rumble would be for Wii, but if it's for the 3DS it gives me even more reason to buy or get the 3DS around Christmas or my birthday in February. Also the new SSB will just be an addition to the 3DS when it comes out.

Whaaaaaaaaaaa? No mention of the amazing Super Mario 3DS? :[

That's probably the one I'm most anticipating (along with Luigi's Mansion 2 and Kid Icarus). Pokemon Rumble looks like more of the same and came out recently, Mario Kart looks very similar to the DS, Star Fox/Zelda are remakes. But Super Mario 3DS is a brand new platformer and the first new 3D one to come to a DS handheld. I see that that's a very big deal lol. I can't wait.

dmaster out.

Mario Kart has brand new features, like changing the kart, and being able to use hang gliders and submarine kind of things.
I am extremely exited for the new Mario, it will have a lot of sales, just because it's a Mario game, I love the things they are doing with it(raccoon mario :D).

Aw yeah I'm a part of this.

Anyways, I'm waiting to get a 3DS until there's a price drop and/or all of the good 1st party games come out. The one I'm looking forward to the most is Super Mario 3DS. It looks like it merges elements from Super Mario 64 and SMB3, two of the best games of all time, and put it into a handheld. It looks really nice and I can't wait to try it out ^_^

dmaster, I'll admit I missed both Luigi's Mansion 2 and Super Mario 3DS. I'm looking forward to both, as well. Now, we just need a Kirby Air Ride 3DS and we're all set! =D

The water temple is just as hard. You won't be disappointed it's so great. Also the 3d trailer for new super Mario bros and Mario kart looks great. I'm definitely getting kid Icarus though. I want to see a Kirby and metroid game and some good 3rd party games and well be set.

The thing Mario Kart DS had that the Wii version didn't, was the ability to be really addictive to play after you beat it. It was one of those games you could ditch for a few weeks to a year, come back to, and get really good at and play again for a long time. Yes, the Wii version had a lot to unlock, but, I felt like it didn't have that way to make me want to play it again and again.

But ALL home console games are like that. That's why handhelds are always better because you can just pick them up, play for a little while, and put it on sleep mode or turn it off easily. With the Wii, most games are really fun, but you have to make the time to play them. That's why Mario Kart DS had a quality to where you can just pick it up, race, and put it down.

I thought Mario Kart Wii was a lot better than DS just because there's soooo much more content.

Decmaster, several Kirby Games have come out since Kirby Air Ride, msotly on the DS. There's Canvas Curse, Squeak Squad, Superstar Ultra (though that's a remake), etc. You seem to have missed those lol. I really wish I could have a 3DS, but saving money isn't too easy since I'm more focused on Worlds money at the moment....

There's two Kirby games coming out this year for the Wii and the DS.

Talk about a lot of support for the little pink puff-ball!

I have to say though, It's about time Kirby Home Console came out. It's been far too long for this.

dmaster out.

Yeah, it does. I saw a preview on the Nintendo Channel on the Wii. It looks soooo cool!

It is time to get a GOOD home console Kirby game. I thought Kirby Epic Yarn would be interesting(being really big Kirby fan), got it, and was disappointed, so I'm exited for the next one.
On a side note, when you listen to the narration in Epic Yarn, I swear, it's the guy who narrates Thomas The Train....

Epic Yarn was epic. Mainly the graphics and concept, but I liked it. Multiplayer is hilarious XP Throw my uncle's character repeatedly into a spike pit to watch his futile attempts at getting out? Yes please.

I'm pretty excited about the Kirby for the Wii to come out. I didn't get Epic Yarn because it took away my favorite part of the series, eating people for their powers :3. Kirby Mass Attack (is that what it's called?) looks interesting, but I want to see more gameplay of it.

Kirby's Epic Yarn was far from a bad game. At the end of the last year, it was one of the only solid titles for the Wii that I did actually buy (along with Donkey Kong Country Returns, which is a fantastic game btw, brutally hard but play it if you like platformers).

Epic Yarn wasn't even originally going to be a Kirby game, funnily enough. I think I read somewhere that it was planned to be Mario? (And I heard that they're "Epic Yarn-ifying" other versions of Nintendo games, like Mario will actually eventually come out or something.). That being said, with the change over to Kirby, I think it was an amazing game. The visual style is one of the best I've ever seen for a Wii game or really any other game for that matter. You've never seen a game quite like this with these graphics. The gameplay is pick up and play, great for children and parents to play alongside and is actually pretty challenging if you're going for 100%.

Now that being said, I am excited for Kirby Wii. It's been announced for far longer than Epic Yarn was so it's about time they deliver with what I consider the "true" Kirby game. I'm sure it will most likely meet expectations, considering the Wii's extremely poor lineup this year and going into early next year.

dmaster out.
