I'm sorry for your loss but look at the bright side: you wont have to watch Frogadier turning into Jar-Jar Binks! Now, Snorunt...it was supposed to be Ivysaur's avenger...now it's up there too =( Petilil...poor thing!

Well, you can get your revenge. When going to "Lady" (what a joke) Corrina's Gym, since you won't (I think) have to battle her again you can kill her Pokémon too. Let your anger flow and unleash the power and Pokémon, don't restrain yourself. Remember, Ivysaur, Frogadier and Delphox will be watching so they might want to see some deadly payback. Also, your Lucario might have some "Pkrus rabies" that will make him blind to your commands and just tear the others apart.

Yeah, definitely not been a good week for deaths. >_< I need to train and level up more.

It's a good plan, I think, for Jessie to be a bit harsher on Korrina's Pokémon; Jessie's been much too nice lately, she needs to let out some of that anger. :p

Also, funny note; I totally didn't realize at first but the Gible I got via WT also had Pokérus. :D

Although, those deaths...
You really aren't lucky lately. I'm working twardswhee you are, keep on going! Get it E-Ball and T-Bolt and then evolve it; just make sure it doesn't die in the meantime!

Okay, cool, that's more or less what I was thinking. But yeah, I'm going to need to baby Pikachu for a bit. Jessie might think that Pikachu can OHKO everything, but I certainly know better. :D At least I can rationalize her evolving it into Raichu with the mindset of "omg it's like pikachu but EVEN MORE STRONGERER."

(...)

Yes, let it go, let it flow! Just don't blow your cover or you'll have to kill her too (she won't be missed U_U ).
Well, Ramos (the gym leader that I asked you to be in your wonderlocke) seems like a wise but odd fellow (from what I can tell from looking at him) so it seems that he is lurking in your game and giving me information!...:p

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 12

Chapter 13 is here, and kind of long, apologies in advance. A lot of stuff happens in Shalour City!

Chapter 13: The Secret of Mega Evolution is Mine!

I knew it was important to move quickly on with my journey, but I also had to make sure my Pokémon team was strong and ready for action, so I decided stay in the Cave of Reflection for a while, training my Pikachu. She was quick and eager to please, zapping wild Pokémon left and right. I taught her new moves, and we quickly became a strong team. When we stopped for a lunch break, I caught her digging around in my purse. I thought she might have just been looking for a few more berries and was about to offer her some, when instead she pulled out a random stone that I had picked up somewhere earlier. It was a Thunderstone! Before my eyes, Pikachu began to evolve into Raichu! She must have sensed or smelled the stone and dug for it to evolve herself. Certainly, we had a nice strong team now, and I felt prepared for my next challenge as we left the cave again and headed back towards the city.

Shalour was a small city... if you discounted the northern half of it. My eyes were immediately drawn to the large, imposing tower separated from the rest of the city by a thin sand bank and stone fortress walls. As I was staring up at it from among the buildings, the fat twerp and the ginger twerp showed up. This was apparently the Tower of Mastery where we were supposed to learn from Mega Evolution from the self-proclaimed guru.

I left the boys and headed up to the tower on my own. It was just as impressive inside as it was out, completely open with nothing but a small room and a large Lucario status standing in the center. A large spiral ramp round along the walls, leading to the top.

Inside the room, I met the Mega Evolution guru, Gurkinn, and standing next to him was Korrina, who was apparently his granddaughter. We introduced ourselves, but the guru insisted on waiting for everyone before he would tell us what he knew, so we killed the time waiting for the others by chatting, though I avoided speaking much with Korrina, letting my rage for her smolder in silence.

Finally, everyone had arrived - all three twerps and James, still in that ridiculous outfit - and the Mega Evolution guru could begin his story. He babbled on for quite some time, but I was able to get the gist of it pretty easily: in order to have a Mega Evolution, the trainer must have a specific item (a Mega Ring) and the Pokémon itself must have a Mega Stone. If those two elements were in place, and the Pokémon and the trainer had a strong bond, the Pokémon would be able to Mega Evolve, a temporary transformation that would give the Pokémon even greater power.

Gurkinn sighed sadly, shaking his head as he continued. "Since Professor Sycamore entrusted each one of you with a Pokédex, I would like to give these items to all of you... I'd like to share them with you, but..." He grinned sheepishly. "Sorry, but presently, I have only one Mega Ring... It's a very precious item. That's why my research isn't getting anywhere... So, I want all of you to decide among yourselves which one of you will be the one who challenges the Mega Evolution successor."

I had to get my hand on that Mega Ring. I was ready to fight everyone I needed to, tooth and nail, to get my hands on that Ring for myself and for the Boss. James must have seen my determination, since he quickly backed down and said he didn't want it. The ginger and fat twerps also declined, leaving just me and Ash, who insisted on a Pokémon battle for it.

I felt as if I had been blasted off, my stomach rising to my throat. A Pokémon battle with Ash? No way this could end well, no way could I win this fight. I've been battling the kid for years and the only victories I've been able to claim have come as the result of tricks and cheating, and never ended up amounting to anything anyway. But still, I had to try, I had to give it my best. I clutched the Pokéball with my Raichu, smiled, and told the twerp to bring it on.

He opened up with a Pokémon I hadn't seen before, a Meowstic. I had been expecting his Frogadier and was prepared with Raichu, but it still only took a couple hits to bring the psychic cat down. When he swapped to a Dark-type Absol, I also switched to my Lucario, beating it down quickly and handily with some well-placed Fighting moves. His last Pokémon (Only 3, really? Shouldn't he know enough to actually catch a lot of Pokémon by now?!) was his Frogadier, so I swapped back to Raichu, sweeping him under the rug.

I couldn't believe it; I'd beaten Ash, and relatively easily, too! He was also surprised at my win, but not as much as he was disappointed. He wished me well and relinquished his claim to the Mega Ring, but it wasn't mine yet. In order to get the Mega Ring, I'd have to beat Korrina again, this time in her home turf with her Gym-strength Pokémon.

I took the rest of the day off, doing research and preparing for the Gym battle. Korrina and her lackeys would all be using Fighting-type Pokémon. Considering that type's weakness to Flying- and Psychic-type moves, Gardevoir and Skarmory would be my most useful Pokémon. I drifted off to sleep in my room at the Pokémon Center, still contemplating my moves.

The next day I slept in, awakening late morning for a hearty brunch with my Pokémon. Well-fed and well-rested, we headed off for the Shalour City Gym, home of Korrina, the killer of Braixen. the gym was set up as a large skating rink, with four trainers skating around and doing tricks. I popped onto my skates and chased the first one down for a battle. Upon beating him, I learned the method of how I would reach Korrina; each successful battle raised a section of ramp for my to slide to the center where Korrina was presumably waiting. With speed and precision, I skated my way around the rink, defeating the remaining trainers in turn. Finally, I could reach Korrina, but when I skated my way to the center ring, she was nowhere to be found.

"Time for Lady Korrina's big appearance!" She called from above, flipping down into the circle. I stared at her blankly, my rage smoldering coldly.

"Haha, I'm just messing around with you!" She insisted, laughing pathetically at her own joke. She must have realized I wasn't in a laughing mood when she responded sarcastically, "I know, you're rollin' in the aisles, right? I already know you're a strong Trainer, so let's get this show on the road!"

Glad that she had suspended the small talk, I quickly sent out my Skarmory, ready and anxious to finish this battle. I held nothing back as I slammed against her Pokémon with speed and power, quickly knocking out both Mienfoo and Hawlucha. Her final Pokémon was a Machoke, and she seemed to refuse to let this one go, healing it again and again with Hyper Potions as Skarmory dived at it again and again with Aerial Ace. I finally landed a critical attack, slamming it out of the arena circle and down to the lower level of the gym. It landed with a sickening crack and lied still. I didn't know if it was dead or just incapacitated, but I didn't care. I'd beaten Korrina and with ease, not even close to losing a single Pokémon. I stood proud and firm on my side of the stadium, head held high.

For her part, Korrina looked over the edge at her Machoke, shoulders slumped. She spoke quickly into her holo caster to get medical attention for the Pokémon, only afterward turning her face to address me. "You fought me ferociously, much more so than our previous battle in Geosenge, I'm impressed."

"In loss, we find strength," I replied cryptically.

Seeing that I wasn't in much of a mood to talk, and probably more interested in the condition of her own Pokémon, she quickly handed me my badge and a TM. I thought that was going to be all and was about to ask her about the Mega Ring when she beat me to the punch. "Look… I do have to apologize. You'll have to make it up to the top of the Tower of Mastery if you want the Mega Ring. I'm sorry for sending you this way and that. I swear, I'm not giving you the runaround! You've done great rolling with the punches. So great that I'd like to ask you a favor… Battle me again, won't you? But this time, it won't be just another Gym Battle… I want a battle between equals! As two Trainers who can use Mega Evolution! I'll be waiting for you with Lucario at the top of the Tower of Mastery!"

Another battle with this girl. I sighed, accepting her terms. Not like I had much of a choice; I needed to get my hands on that Mega Ring! Korrina headed down to the bottom level to check on her Machoke while I went to the Pokémon Center to heal up my Pokémon and get ready. We all had a snack together while I waited to head to the Tower of Mastery; I didn't know how long Korrina would be, and I would rather wait here than sit in that tower waiting for her.

After lunch and a stroll around town, I figured we waited long enough and I headed back to the tower. James and Gurkinn were having a conversation inside and the guru gestured for me to head up to the top of the tower to meet with his granddaughter. I walked up the huge ramp, occasionally peeking into the rooms along the wall as I went, until I reached the large balcony where Korrina was waiting for me.

She was leaning on the edge of the balcony, both Lucario by her sides. Looking out into the sea, she didn't even turn to face me when she began to speak. "I really love this place! When I'm here with my Pokémon, looking at the wide-open sky above, all worries disappear, and I feel like I can do anything!"

After a beat, she turned around, tossing a small black object at me. I caught it instinctively; it was a black bracelet that fit snugly on my wrist. The Mega Ring. She was talking about it, but I tuned her out, my gaze falling instead towards one of her Lucarios, the one that was attracted to me for some reason, the one that killed Braixen.

As Korrina talked, the Lucario came up to me and put a hand on my arm. I hunched down and looked into its eyes. We couldn't speak, but just in that moment, I felt a bond stir between us, and I knew it was sorry, that it was apologizing for killing my friend, the apology I'd wanted from Korrina but never received. My eyes filled with tears and I relived the death of my friend all over again, and Lucario's did, too, both of us mourning.

Eventually, Korrina realized that something was going on with us. "Hmm? Lucario, what's wrong?"

The Pokémon walked back to its trainer and they seemed to have some kind of conversation without words, similar to what I'd experienced with Lucario only moments before. I could only hear Korrina's side of the conversation. "Lucario, are you sure? ... You want to battle alongside that Trainer? ... I don't know what to say... I'm a bit shocked that some traveling Trainer seems to have a stronger bond with you than I do... Haha! Well, she must be something special!"

Korrina stood up and faced me again. "So, whaddya say, Jessie? Will you and Lucario battle against me and my Lucario? A Lucario-on-Lucario battle! It will be nothing short of riveting. They both have Lucarionite in hand! How about we get this show on the road?"

My first experience with Mega Evolution would be with the Pokémon who'd killed my best friend. It seemed like a cruel joke. On the other hand, it seemed like I really did have some sort of bond forged with the Lucario, and it felt bad for what had happened. I could live with that, and I don't think Braixen would mind. I gestured the Lucario over to me, and the battle began.

My first experience using the Mega Ring was pretty exhilarating. I could almost feel it pulling towards the Lucario, wanting to be used. I rose my wrist high in the air, unleashing the power, and Lucario started glowing bright, just like a evolution. With a flash of light, he was transformed before my eyes, taller and with a stronger presence, the sense of power barely restrained. Lucario was eager to attack and jumped into the battle quickly, trading blows with the other. We won, barely, and mostly by getting the first shot in; it was a very even match.

"What an explosive battle!" Korrina exclaimed, as breathless as I was at the ferocity of the Pokémon. "I could tell that both Mega Lucario didn't hold anything back! With strong bonds like that, you shouldn't have any trouble triggering your Pokémon's Mega Evolution!" She pursed her lips before continuing. "I think it would be best if you took that Lucario along with you on your journey. It's quite apparent that you two make a truly incredible team!"

I looked down at Lucario and clasped hands with it, silently thanking it for the battle. Now that the battle was over, it had gone back to its regular form. It seemed so small. "I appreciate your offer, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to turn you down. This Lucario, unfortunately, reminds me of too many bad memories, and I already have one of my own."

Korrina cocked her head. "Really? I thought you two would have made a great team..."

"Yes, really, I'm sorry."

I turned back to Lucario again and addressed it directly. "Thank you for your apology and your kindness."

With another wordless response, Lucario expressed an understanding of my decision and held out a hand to me. He was holding the Lucarionite that he'd used during the battle, offering it to me, for my own Lucario to use. "Are you sure you want to give this to me?" I asked quietly. "It seems very valuable." It nodded and pushed the stone in my hands insistingly, then walked back towards Korrina and stood next to her. I nodded back at both of them, then headed back down the ramp, eager to get back to the Pokémon Center so I could compose my message to Giovanni. The secret of Mega Evolution was mine! And with a Mega Ring and Mega Stone of my own, I would be well on my way to becoming a formidable trainer.

No levels because in-game I've already moved beyond this part, I just didn't think the chapter should be any longer. >_>
Lucario
Gardevoir
Tyrunt
Skarmory
Gabite
Raichu

Highlights/Notes/Thoughts:

Korrina's gym actually was incredibly easily. Usually I'm one of those people who's super anal about their Pokémon all being at the same level, but I decided to ignore that and simply just use Skarmory and Gardevoir since I knew everyone would survive that way. Skarmory only had about ~30 HP loss the entire battle with Korrina, soloing like a boss. <3 Skarmory.

I actually did accept the Lucario from Korrina because I didn't think I would get the Lucarionite if I declined, but I won't ever use the Lucario, so I figured this was the best way to write the story.

*Facepalm*

Well, nothing like the tower scene where it's easy for bad things to happen like slipping to death...Your choice Korrina. U_U

"So, whaddya say, Jessie?
So...Did Braixen's death made you slip? :p

I actually did accept the Lucario from Korrina because I didn't think I would get the Lucarionite if I declined, but I won't ever use the Lucario, so I figured this was the best way to write the story.
Like I think I've said before, you can still get your revenge...use it in battle, then let it lose. U_U

PS: I don't have any problem with reading longer than usual posts.

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 13

Jessie still goes by "Jessie" in Kalos (I mention it in either the Prologue or Chapter 1, don't remember which), so not so much a slip as me purposefully altering Korrina's words; when people in-game call someone else "trainer" it always kind of makes me cringe because it seems so artificial. I happened to notice this and change it when I was copy/pasting Korrina's text.

Nope, just haven't had time to play lately since I've got sidetracked working on my artsy things. I hope to get an update in tomorrow. :D

Chapter 14: Leaf Ranger and the Coumarine City Gym

I spent the next day in the Pokémon Center, carefully writing out a coded message to Giovanni. I hadn't yet had an occasion to send a message, but with the Mega Ring snug around my wrist, I felt it was time to report on my progress. Now that we knew everything there was to know about mega evolutions, Team Rocket could start going to work collecting other mega stones and building up a formidable army. Lucario would only be the first step.

I tied the final message onto the leg of a carrier Fletchling. It tweeted at me and ruffled its feathers before flying off. I watched it go until it was only a speck on the horizon, unnaturally afraid that my cover would be blown just by sending out the letter, but it was important. With that out of the way, I could continue on my journey.

I found Ash sulking around outside the route to Courmarine. I couldn't help but smile on the inside, knowing that my defeat of him the other day must be grating at him. Of course, he couldn't know who I was, but the kid always hated to lose, and now I had the Mega Ring and he had nothing. I put on a bright false smile and waved to him. In response, he came over and gave me a gift, the HM for Surf. I guess he must not be feeling much of a grudge after all... or at least I thought so until he challenged me to another battle at a later point and ran off. Such a sore loser.

Following the path, I soon learned of the occasion for the gift: a body of water was separating me from the next place on the map, Coumarine City. I looked through the Pokémon in my party and realized with a sigh that none of them would be able to ferry me across the water. A handsome young man nearby must have seen my frustration for he came swooping to the rescue, offering me a lovely Lapras to train and ride. I thanked him with a kiss to the cheek and accepted the Lapras gratefully, temporarily sending Tyrunt to take a break in the PC.

Surfing around on Lapras was one of the best parts of my journey so far, riding gracefully and feeling the breeze in my hair. I even had my first water battle with a swimmer on the route. The waterway was short, though, and soon I was back on the road. I stopped by a farm of Skiddos for another quick diversion, but soon I was back on my way, arriving in the northern part of Coumarine. I looked around for the Gym, but was told that I would have to take a monorail to the southern part to access the gym.

I was gearing up for another exciting gym battle when Ash appeared once again. He was ready for our rematch and so was I. I had been nervous with our last battle, but after seeing how easily I was able to beat him, this time I was filled with confidence. His Pokémon hadn't grown too much stronger since our last battle and I was able to defeat him rather easily. He seemed kind of annoyed at losing again, but wished me luck with my gym battle.

The Gym itself was huge on the inside, a gigantic tree house complete with netting and ropes everywhere. I quickly jumped onto the rope ladder and climbed up, battling trainers as I went. Lapras's Ice Beam made quick work out of the Grass-type Pokémon favoured by the trainers, and it tanked the few hits it took very successfully. Soon, I reached the top, and the Gym Leader was waiting for me, a young man in a brown ranger suit and a green hat with a whip by his side.

"Ho! So yeh've made it clear up here!" he called to me, winking. "I'm the Gym Leader. Ramos's the name, but I prefer to go by my other title, Leaf Ranger! So what'd yeh think, whippersnapper?"

Whippersnapper? I thought, my eye twitching. Leaf Ranger looked younger than I was, though if he thought I was younger at least that meant my disguise was working...

He gestured to the room around him, built into the top floor of the treehouse. "Did yeh enjoy the garden playground I made with all these sturdy plants o' mine? Their strength is a sign o' my strength as a Ranger and a Gym Leader! Yeh sure yer up to facing all that?"

I smiled and struck a pose. "I'm more than ready!"

I opened up the battle with Lapras, ready to rely on her strong Ice Beam some more. I OHKO'd Leaf Ranger's Jumpluff, though not before it got in a quick Grass Knot. His Weepinbell also went down in a single shot, though his final Pokémon, a Gogoat, proved significantly more sturdy. I was worried about Lapras's health, so I swapped in Skarmory who finished up the battle with an Aerial Ace.

Leaf Ranger smiled as he withdrew his Pokémon. "Yeh believe in yer Pokémon... And they believe in yeh, too... Mighty oaks from acorns grow. Go on, then. Yeh've earned it. Here's yer own Plant Badge, sprout."

Playing up our age difference, I skipped a bit and happily grabbed the badge from him. He tols me about how I'd now be able to use the HM Fly, though I still hadn't received it yet, and also gave me the TM for Grass Knot, the powerful Grass-type move that had caused Lapras so much trouble. We said our goodbyes and I took my leave of the gym via a long slide built along the tree trunk. Wheeeee!

As I was heading to the Pokémon Center, I received a holo clip from... Chaos Jackal? How'd he get my number? I tried to hide my unease as he congratulated me on harnessing the power of Mega Evolution and started rambling on about covering up filth, ending the conversation by emploring me to help him change the world into a more beautiful place and ending the conversation before I could get a single word in. Change the world, huh? Well, Team Rocket will be doing that, alright, and without your help, crazy man.

Just when I thought I'd had my share of weirdos for the day, Professor Furry's two assistants ran up to me and upgraded my Pokédex. I guess I just can't get a break. Once they were gone, I headed back to the Pokémon Center for a nice dinner and an early bed. As I rested in my bunk, I felt my transmitter vibrate as I received a new Pokémon. I had just enough time to catch a glimpse of it, but that glimpse was all I needed to recognize Honedge; after all, how many other sword Pokémon are there? It seemed cool, but my team was already full enough for the moment, so I sent it to the PC to be trained for later. After that, I dozed off.

Lucario - Lv. 34
Gardevoir - Lv. 34
Skarmory - Lv. 34
Gabite - Lv. 34
Raichu - Lv. 34
Lapras - Lv. 35

Highlights/Notes/Thoughts:

There's not a whole lot of detail in the early part of this chapter, my apologies. I actually played everything up until the gym over a week ago, so I don't remember a lot of the details. T_T

Very grateful to the Lapras since I didn't have any Surfable Pokémon at all either in my party of PC and I swore a bit mentally when I saw the water, since I had forgotten that you got the Lapras this soon (I thought it was later for some reason). I made sure to train it up to get Ice Beam before the Gym since that seemed like it would be useful, and Lapras did end up killing everything except that final Gogoat.

The Honedge is Lv. 5; it'll make a nice replacement for someone if I end up with a bunch of death again, but I don't plan on training it at the moment.

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 14

I really must be onto something because I didn't realise Ramos was the next gym and just this night I made an avatar using Spenser!

Thank you! :D
Too bad this games are easy because if the Grass type already has a lot of problems then whith an easy gym leader it doesn't bode well. Oh well, I hope you've enjoyed the battle. ;)
Btw, "I" can make you an haircut with my scissors...it can't be that different from taking care of a garden. :p

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 14

To be fair, I'd have had a much harder time without Lapras, honestly. Ice Beam just made everything a cake walk.

I think all the gyms in Kalos are pretty easy in general, though, except the Fairy gym. I'm not really looking forward to that one. >_>

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 14

You should be careful. Don't call a man who's able to get your phone number like that crazy. He may hear you:p.
Well done. It's good to know that it wasn't a terrible tragedy that delayed you. Can't wait for the next part.

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 14

Lol, I should really read this as a bedtime story :p

Chapter 15 is here, huzzah!

Chapter 15: Unraveling the Plots of Team Flare

The route south of Courmarine was dry and barren, a red desert of rock and blowing sand. The high winds made it ideal for the Kalos Power Plant, but not very pleasant for anything else. Still, it would lead me back to Lumiose City, and I needed to figure out the issues with the power plant if I wanted to be able to continue my journey anyway. Sometimes, you just have to buck up and take one for the team. I wrapped a stylish scarf around my face to protect it from the wind and sand and proceeded to cautiously enter the route.

The inhospitable conditions of Route 13 kept it mostly free of trainers, so I was somewhat surprised to see one of those unfashionable orange suits through the sandy haze. Sure enough, a Team Flare member was scrambling around on his hands and knees across the sandblasted rock ground. When he saw me, he quickly challenged me to a Pokémon battle, though I dispatched him easily enough, much to his chagrin. After the battle, I happened to catch a glimpse of something shiny off to the side and picked it up. It was a small key card, like the kind you use to open hotel rooms. However, this card had the power plant logo and I was pretty sure I knew what it opened, and what the Team Flare grunt had been looking for. I slipped away from him and off to one of the doors into the power plant. Like I had suspected, the key opened the lock and I was able to step into the cool interior of the plant.

Within a room near the entrance, I met some of the imprisoned power plant workers and learned a bit of the story about what had happened. As part of another of their nefarious schemes, Team Flare had commandeered the power plant and were in the process of diverting its power away from Lumiose. With no one else around, it looked like I would have to be the one to take care of them, but I wasn't overly concerned. I fought a few grunts here and there on my way through the plant, no battles too difficult or interesting, mostly just time consuming.

When I'd battled my way through about a dozen or so Team Flare members, I found myself at a tall metal staircase. At the top, two more members were discussing things between themselves by the power plant controls, though they looked different from your typical grunt. The male was bald and wore a white suit with orange glasses; almost forgettable, though not quite as ugly as the grunts. The woman, however, was more interesting, in a flared (Get it? Flared? I kill myself, sometimes) orange dress, bright orange hair, and an interesting visor over her eyes. They were discussing their use of the power plant and how they were just about finished taking the power they had needed for... whatever it was they needed power for. I guess that meant that they would have been leaving soon even if I hadn't showed up, but I had a duty as an honourable member of Team Rocket to take out these dirty worthless Team Flare members, so I challenged them to a battle with gusto.

Sadly, they weren't much of a fight. The male admin had a single Houndoom that I took down with Lapras, and the female, who called herself a scientist even though she looked more like a rock star, had a Mightyena that I defeated with Lucario. She called me interesting and then they both left. Something of an anti-climactic battle, but at least I'd done what I needed to do.

As I was about to leave, Sino and Dexio ran in the room, dressed in ridiculous superhero costumes with masks. They probably thought that they could fool people into not recognizing them, but as a master actress and adept at costuming, I identified them almost immediately. They congratulated me on taking town Team Flare, healed my Pokémon, and then left. I didn't really understand their deal, but, well, at least they weren't dressed as badly as Team Flare. Not that that was saying much.

With a healed team, I headed back out to the route and on my way to Lumiose. Finally, I reached the end of the badlands and was headed down a stone staircase to the gatehouse to Lumiose when I spotted a man in front of me. At first I thought my perspective was weird or obscured by dust until I realized the was standing at the bottom of the staircase; he must be around 3 meters tall! I involuntarily took a step back, but he didn't stick around for long. Muttering something about a flower Pokémon, he wandered off. Once he was out of site, I quickly dashed through the gatehouse and back into Lumiose City.

James ran up to almost as soon as I entered the city, a bright smile on his face. He talked about the strong, powerful trainer who defeated Team Flare at the power plant and brought the power back to Lumiose City, and when I told him it was me, he wasn't nearly as shocked as I thought he would be. "You really have gotten strong, Jess; being a solitary trainer brings out the best in you, I guess. On my own, I don't feel nearly as strong as I did when I had you and Meowth to back me up, but this life has really shown how strong of a trainer you've become."

I blushed, but before I could respond, James had put back on his performer face and resumed the role of Shauna. In a high-pitched falsetto, he eagerly told me about the Gym Leader of the Lumiose City Gym turning on the lights of Prism Tower. Together we walked to the center of the city and watched as the boy and his sister flipped the switch and the lights rose up the tower majestically. James wished me luck at the gym before setting off, but I wasn't quite ready to enter into the gym battle, yet. After all, I was back in Lumiose City; there's plenty of shopping to be done, and I could use a new hairdo, too!

Highlights/Notes/Thoughts:

Not all too much of interest in this chapter, I suppose. Most of the time was spent wandering throughout Route 13 to collect the items, but that's kind of boring and doesn't really make much sense in universe, so I skipped over it in the writing. Team Flare really was easy to beat. :p

There were no new Pokémon since the Honedge I was WTed last chapter was actually the Pokémon for Route 13. I plan on spending Chapter 16 exploring the rest of Lumiose (at least as much as I can remember and/or figure out how to get to), getting a new haircut, making a new PR video, and then challenging the gym. I'll probably sneak onto Route 14 for a little bit just to get a new Pokémon again. WTing is still my favourite part about this playthrough. >.> <.<

However, I will have to take a break from updating for a couple weeks or so, though. My parents are flying in from the States to visit my husband and I in the Netherlands, so I won't have time to play or write while they're here. Expect an update sometime around 2 weeks or so from now at the earliest. But don't worry, I won't forget. :p

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 15

Lovely chapter as always :3

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 15

Yeah, but I've been writing out my chapters instead of slacking off. :p

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 15

With Raichu and Gabite you should be ready for the gym challenge. Let's just hope Eureka doesn't asks you to be Clemont's wife!

Is Lumiose that difficult to get around?

RE: Team Rocket's Revenge! A Wonderlocke - Chapter 15

I have a very difficult time navigating Lumiose. North and South Boulevards aren't that bad, but the spoke and side streets confuse me greatly and I get lost pretty easily. Now I'm having double the difficulty because I can't tell which things I remember because I've already seen them as Jessie and which things I remember from my original playthrough! :p
