I'm missing Suns of Pokebeach's submission. Guy and I need it within an hour.

Hurricane in the Rain: 7/10
I do like the idea of using Pokemon as the pieces, very original and nice, I'd give you 8/10 but I'm subtracting one since you didn't send it to both myself and DNA.

The Air Lockers: 8/10
Very nice and clean picture, I love the shadows and the shininess of the picture. It's very appealing to look at.
 
Interesting piece by the Air Lockers. I am curious to know the thought process behind it.
 
Hurricane in Rain: 9/10
Long live Gigas; that is all. It's not the best drawn picture but I don't really care. Overall very nicely done.

The Air Lockers: 7.5/10
It would have been 8, but there's something wrong with the bottom chessboard. Look at the colors connecting the faces together.

And thus, winning by half a point, Hurricane in Rain comes up as the winner. Congratulations guys; you deserved it!

DNA, could you elaborate on what was wrong with the picture please?

PMJ, I used the 3D modeling program Blender to make the picture. The thought process was just to be abstract, I guess. I was going for looking into a chess cube with pieces on the walls, or something. There wasn't really that much artistic meaning behind it; I just wanted something that was really clean and slick. However, I think not having a meaning is what lost us the challenge.

Oh well, can't wait till the next Challenge!
 
The shadows seem kind of off imo, but other than that I liked it!

For the two top boards (in the Y and Z dimensions), the squares that connected the boards together were the same color. That was not the case with the bottom board (X dimension).
 
Can [member]Lucky Fire[/member] get replaced? She hasn't been on for a week and an inactive is no help at all.

It's impossible not to have two of the same color touching. I tried many combinations, and of them that looked the best imo.

The point being that I think it would have looked better if all three had the same color touching.
 
Oh, I understand what you're saying. I think I even tried that but settled with what you see.
