Yeah, but Flash ruins the pictures, and turning off flash means worse quality.

You could try a back light or something with no flash. I dunno much about photography, but I'm sure DNA and Guy will be understanding and judge it on the drawing itself.

If quality is an issue, then I'm totally willing to look past a bad quality photo. I'm very understanding in that regard as I know how frustrating a 3DS camera can be (among other cameras).
