But then we can go down to the fact some EX's are easier to pull, some were produced more. Like for instance Darkrai EX is harder to pull than Raikou EX.

Really? I pulled it both in English and Japanese.

Really? I've seen people get 6 Darkrai EX in a case (six boxes) of DE.

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

On another note:

There were 30 reported Darkrai EX pulls in the past two months on the 'I pulled something cool!' thread.

There were only 10 reported Raikou EX pulls on the same thread.

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

Ok then I was basing this on my findings but I would mention that more people would Post Darkrai pulls than Raikou because Darkrai is more sought after. I will say then for Korean I have opened 3 boxes and I have seen 10 box openings so thats 13 boxes 1 Darkrai Pull 9 Raikou's.

I agree.

Respectfully, I didn't pull my numbers out of thin air. :p

Back on topic, anyone know the chance of an FA from DE? Can you get two in a box still?

My Korean box did not have a Darkrai in it.

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

Therefore we can conclude Raikou EX is 14x more common than Darkrai EX in Koran boxes and Darkrai EX is 3x more common than Raikou EX in English boxes. Case solved. :p

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

In a sealed booster case of Dark Explorers I got 1 of each ex as a full art. NOT including full arts, I got 3 Darkrai, 3 Kyogre, 2 Entei, 2 Tornadus, 1 Raikou, 1 Groudon.

Is kyogre ex easy to pull?

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

Just opened my first ever HS Unleashed booster pack, and pulled out a Suicune & Entei Legend Full art card

Mudkip711 EDIT: Next time, this should go in the "I pulled something cool" thread. This thread is for discussing the rates of how easy it is to pull something from a pack.

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

FA's are 2 in a box, not sure about Terrakion.

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

Hey guys,

I have a challenging question today regarding pull rates of EX Unseen Forces. I'm wondering how many Ultra Rares you can expect in a booster box but I'm also wondering how many booster packs it will take (on average of course), to pull a Lugia ex. Personally, I opened 20 unweighed packs from this set and didn't receive a single Ultra Rare so I am assuming they are quite difficult to pull. Not only that, but there are a more ex's in this set than any other. For those reasons, I believe Lugia ex to be the one of the rarest English Pokémon ex cards. Even more rare than Charizard ex. :) Not to mention Lugia ex was highly playable when the set was relatively new. Anyway, thanks guys for any help!

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

Unseen Forces was around the time that they increased the ex pull rates because they had more per set as well as gold stars. Generally I've seen people pull 2-4 ex cards from a box, depending on luck and the presence of a gold star.

FRLG has 12 ex cards and you got 1-2 per box while Unseen Forces has 13 ex cards (not counting the Persian box topper) and you got 2-4 per box, so I'd say Charizard is more rare than Lugia.

That's great information to know.

Perhaps saying Lugia ex could be rarer than Charizard ex was a bit bold. :p Do you know when exactly the ex pull rates were increased?

Was the "cut-off" between FRLG and UF? Also, do you happen to know the pull rates of Unowns from UF?

If we are to assume a pull rate of 1 ex every 12 booster packs, then that can be used to give us a rough idea of our pull rate for Lugia ex. There are 13 ex's in total from Unseen Forces. If we multiply our two ratios, that will give us the rough pull rate of Lugia ex. For easier math, I'll convert the ratios into percentages.

1/12 Pokémon ex to UF Boosters = 0.083% Pull rate.
1/13 Lugia ex to total Pokémon ex possible = 0.077% Pull rate.

So the pull rate of getting Lugia ex from a Booster is roughly: 0.0064%

This can be written as 1/156 UF Booster or 1/4.33 UF Boxes. Typically speaking, UF Boxes go for approximately $400 apiece. That being said, one could expect to spend roughly $1733 on UF Booster packs before pulling their own Lugia ex. Yikes! :p

RE: The "Pull Rates" Thread

The sets between FRLG and UF are TR Returns, Deoxys and Emerald, with TR Returns being the first set to introduce the gold stars. But if I had to guess, I'd say that the increase ex pull rates happened within one of the two sets preceding UF, as all of the TRR ex cards are really rare and expensive compared to other sets' ex cards for some reason.

I watched a TR Returns box opening and he got two ex cards but also a gold star and the Here Comes Team Rocket secret rare probably in place of a third ex. That must have been when the rate increased.
