I dunno if I mentioned this but from my 3 boxes of Dark Explorers...

Third box being the luckiest with 3 EXs but a duplicate...
 
I've got a box of Aquapolis on the way, not going to open it for some time, but am I right in thinking usually 2/3 crystals per box?

You may want to ask [member]MrSquarepants[/member].

If I recall, it's 0-2 Crystals per box for Aquapolis and 2-3 for Skyridge (which includes RH).

Right cheers, how gutting would it be to not even get 1 with the price of the thing!

That's why it isn't worth it to open older booster boxes.

You just have to be careful about which ones you open and how much you spend. :p

Pfft I asked a lot off peeps on YouTube if there should be a Crystal in every box and a bunch of them said yes, I watched 3 different openings and two pulled Crystals. One guy did get two... The other got one and one got 0.

He thought the box have been tampered. Well it didn't have the official seal I thought so too.

Mine had the seal. Crisp. No creases. All signs point to legit box.

However no Crystal. So upset about that.

Skyridge you're bound to pull a Crystal since they come in Reverse holo (but no one likes them) but I ain't gonna be able to afford it for awhile.

Damn, I saw the same video and wondered the same thing. Not sure if I will open it now then, the amount lost will be pretty insane with no crystal at all. I also want skyridge so I may sell this box at some stage and add some extra money for that, worryingly the only few left on eBay have rocketed again in price recently :/ .
 
For anyone who cares, I decided to look into the pull rates for ex Deoxys booster boxes (I got really bored).

It seems like you are guaranteed at least 2 ex cards, and then a Gold Star OR 1-2 more ex cards.


Also, this is just a theory, and a rather useless one at that, but if you get a RH Deoxys, the Rare is most likely going to be another Deoxys, if not another legendary (so Rayquaza or an ex/gold star).

I got 3 exs

That sounds about right.

I remember it being 3 EX cards where one of which could be a Gold Star (every other box).

Plasma Blast Shiny Pokemon are EXTREMELY RARE. There is about 1 of the 4 shinies per case (6 booster BOXES)
So in theory to pull all 4 you need to open 24 Booster Boxes, not packs, but boxes
 
In the earlier BW sets Shiny Pokémon were one in three boxes.

It's a shame they'd make them even rarer now.

Or, you can theoretically buy 864 packs and get the shinies.
 
seems about right, and i think it is actually 3X more rare now, not 2X
because i think people could get 2-4 per case before

maybe buying them now isnt a bad idea, people still dont get how rare they are, but then again you have the prerelease hype...
