No no, don't worry, we won't be playing what isn't readily available to everybody.
Sticking to rom series for now, We're not exactly limited... Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Harvest Moon, Kirby, Zelda, Mario + Luigi... Matter of deciding.
So I'm in that area where El decides to make his own god and has Ditto transform into Arceus. I legitimately thought this was a battle you were not supposed to win at first because it just creamed me.
Does anyone have any recommendations for any Pokémon/moves/strategies to take this thing out? It OHKOed my entire team except Mawile (which was left alive with 1HP) and Sylveon (because it used Shadow Ball against it for some reason and only did 2/3 HP damage).
At this point, the only thing I can think up is training up my Smoochum for Perish Song... >_>
Paralyzing it really helps, if you have anything with the chance to do that. After that I just kept hitting it with Blaziken, using the rest of my team as fodder to revive him. Paralyze sometimes lets you get off a second hit as well.
It's difficult, but not impossible if you can hit it hard enough.
I don't have anything to paralyze, so at that point I'd have to train up something new again, it seems. Would that be a better or worse option than my idea, do you think?
Did you have Destiny Bond as an egg move or something? Or is it different in Reborn? My heart leaper at first when I saw that you used Gallade since I have one of those and move relearned would be easier/faster than training, but it looks like it only gets it as an egg move. I don't even remember what my Ralts' egg move was... maybe I'll go check it out after all, just to see. I need to fix Hephastus's moves anyway because I accidentally forgot the wrong move when it learned Flamethrower. >_<
I bear Arceus with Poison Touch Toxicroak. Drain Punch managed to take a significant chunk out of its HP, and El decided to waste a turn healing the Poison which gave me a free turn to do even more damage.
May I suggest Chrono Trigger? From what I've heard it's one of the greatest games in existence, but I haven't played too much of it myself. It's available on the Snes, DS and of course via emulation.
Chrono Trigger is, indeed, pretty amazing. I'd be down for playing that again. It was on my list of possible Playthrough games, but it would be fun to do here, too.
PS1 has some awesome RPGs, too, but can be fickle to ROM, unless SNES/GBA era which are just plug and play effectively. DS ROMing is actually pretty easy, too; I learned that when I played the fan translation of AAI2.
Would totally be down for that, love playing new games. And 4 is enough for me to say that Chrono Trigger will be our next game! Good times.
Some problems came up with download links before, so this go around if you can't get the emulator/rom yourself, skype or PM me for appropriate links.
