HA! So that's what that Croagunk is. I've been in that section twice and interacted with it but I wasn't sure what it wanted so I figured I'd come back later at some point. I did get the ring and Nidorina when I went back to investigate that cave after getting Flash. Thanks for the tip! :D I'll probably go ahead and work my way back there since I'm still leveling up Squishy anyway.

@bbninjas: You can watch a weather report on the TV. I don't know if it's actually accurate or not, but I do know that mine predicted Windy days on both Monday and Thursday this week.

One thing I've noticed is that both Croagunk and Nidorina are in relatively close proximity to Beryl Bridge where they were released. So it's a good idea to look for the others nearby as well. I'm guessing there's one or two around Route 1, Route 2 and/or Celestinine Mountain, but again, I haven't gotten this far yet so I can't explore this area. Tourmaline Desert is probably also hiding one or two, but based on how bare it looks on the map it doesn't seem to be accessible in this version of the game.

It is accurate. And you can cheat the system by entering a building, changing the day on your PC, and exiting again.
I've only tested this going backwards, but forwards should work as well. Worst-case you just flip through previous days until you hit the weather you want.

Yeah, I did weather cheating to get the Squirtle event because srsly.

Otherwise, not much progress to report. I spent yesterday running around stupid Chrysolia Forest trying to get the Eevee event path to unlock since it was windy and it wasn't working. :< Ended up making an account on the forums and asking about and found out that 1) it also has to be during night, and 2) you might have to defeat

PULSE Abra

first. I didn't actually know that was a thing, so it was a bit of a minor spoiler for me, but OH WELL. And it does makes sense, given what's going on. I'm not entirely sure what actual times count as morning/day/night, but I tried it during the evening and it still didn't work. Later this afternoon I'm probably going to alter my PC clock to make sure that it's fully night and try again, otherwise I guess I'll just come back later.

So, nothing much new to report. Just leveling, leveling. Squishy's up to 43 now I think, so not bad, but I want to get everyone up to 50. I also got another department store sticker while trying to unlock Eevee (happened to stumble into a mini side-quest :U) so I'll probably backtrack into the city to see what stuff I can buy and check out on how my Day Care Pokémon are doing.

Alright, so, the Eevee problem is solved! It turns out that nighttime is the only requirement, so I was able to get my Eevee right away. :3 I now have a male Lv. 5 Eevee with a neutral nature.

And I need to decide on what to make it ~_~;;;

I'm thinking either Glaceon or Sylveon, as either would fill a lack in my current Pokémon available (no Ice or Fairy types). Biggest downside to Glaceon is that I'd have to wait a decent amount of time before I'd actually be able to use it; the icy rock location is apparently in North Aventurine Woods, and I don't even know where that is. Sylveon, on the other hand, I'd want to start ASAP since it uses friendship in this game; there's the massage parlors, and I have a soothe bell.

Opinions? >.>

Is Sylveon just friendship and a Fairy move then? I assume that's how it overrides Umbreon and Espeon.

There's a Vanillite that you can get off the top floor of one of the buildings in the town that things disappear from (can't remember the name off the top of my head), just buy an ice cream from the machine and a Vanillite pops out instead. That's the only alternative I can think of for Ice at the moment, besides Smoochum.

Friendship + Fairy Move, yeah. There's Baby Doll Eyes at Lv. 9 which is what I would use since it doesn't come with any egg moves.

I already have both Smoochum and a Vanillite, too, yes, so that's something to consider.

For Fairy too, if you have that sealed PokeBall, MLK was talking about somebody that could open it if you gave them Blast Powder. There's a Ralts inside.

...I know so little about this game smh.

I already got that Ralts. :p I've mentioned it before. It was in the day care, but I recently grabbed it back out. It's... Lv. 29 now I think? I'm actually debating making it a Gallade since it's male, I have a Dawn Stone, and it has a +Atk nature, but haven't decided yet. It's on my list of Pokémon to train, but Gastrodon's my priority at the moment for the coming Dr. Connal battle.

Right, well, I really need to find that Eevee. A bulky special Sylveon would probably work really well on my team. Also, I've got a Gallade Athena, don't copy. :p

Don't pretend like I pay attention, Athena. :p
But ignore ninjas, Gallade is awesome and should totally be used by everybody.

I think I'll go ahead and do Sylveon then. I already went back into the city to withdraw my day care 'mons and see what my new sticker gave me access to at the dept. store (gems, bluh), so I can start on the daily massage regimen.

I've got my Eevee up to level 40 over the past day, which I'm pretty happy about. Unfortunately I'm about to fight a Bug Specialist with 6 Pokemon when I'm underleveled, and have a a Gallade, Eevee and Sharpedo that can do virtually nothing.

Oh, yay, Bennett comes back? :U

Can I ask why you're leveling up Eevee so much without evolving it? Going for Trump Card or something? I always find myself trying to evolve my Eevees ASAP to let them learn their STAB level-up moves, but having such a high leveled Eevee on its own reminds me of that one anime episode from the original series about the kid who was being pressured to evolve his Eevee by his big brothers but he decides to go "screw y'all, I'm just going to not evolve it at all because y'all are asshats." :p

I'm actually trying to get happiness levels up for a Sylveon and I'm too lazy/cheapskate to get vitamins. n.n;;;

I plan on massages + soothe bell biking. Ideally I'd like to evolve it as soon after Lv. 9 as possible. >_>

So, 2 massages, 1 Soothe Bell, and 15 minutes of biking up and down in Obsidia while reading a book and now I am the proud owner of...

Yes, his name is Fluffy. I wasn't feeling particularly creative when I got him. I also considered Pixilate well worth the use of an Ability Capsule. Of course, I remembered later that Mawile is part Fairy-type now, but oh well, I'll still train them both.

Since then, it's been more leveling, though there are 2 recent things of note:

1) I finally got around to breeding a Growlithe Egg to turn in for the Mystery Egg from the guard. It's currently in my inventory. I'm crossing my fingers for an Axew, but consider it unlikely. With my luck I'll probably end up with like a Rhyhorn or something. :p

2) I discovered the recurring trainer fight in Grand Hall! Not only does this provide me with money to fund my ice cream addiction, but it's also letting me level like a billion times faster than before.

However, I don't want to challenge Dr. Connal with a less than full team, so I guess I'm still going to have to hatch this egg first. I might just grab my book and bike up and down in Obsidia again.

EDIT: It was a Staryu. Yay, I guess? Is Staryu/Starmie even worth using? I never have before. >_>

Gee, perhaps I should've just biked and massaged. /sigh

Staryu and Starmie are particular fast and have a nice scald attack, so it depends I guess. :p

Competitively Starmie is awesome, lots of good Special moves for it to access. But unless you have the right TMs (Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Psyshock, etc.), I wouldn't recommend it. It can learn Hydro Pump and Recover through move re-learner though, which is still really good.

I just beat the (second? actual?) Fighting gym leader, Samson. I did manage to beat him first try, but it wasn't easy.
Don't try to use Ground moves on Lucario unless Hawlucha is already taken out. He kept switching into it for immunity, and then U-Turning when I switched. Not fun. His team also makes good use of some items, I noticed LO on Mienshao and Leftys on Conkeldurr. Also not fun.
Grinding 110% recommended. His Conkeldurr is at level 71, can't remember if any others broke the level cap as well, and is extremely bulky. Everything seems to have an answer to weaknesses, another thing to watch for, and he likes to switch. At least, he did for me.

And now the plot. Oh the plot. Two new PULSE 'mons coming up, apparently. Mr. Mime and Clawitzer, which are blocking off a city full of hostages. Fun times.
There seems to be a sub-plot thing going on which actually made me kind of sad, but I won't get into that. I'm too busy dealing with Meteor anyway, and all these puzzles are starting to get to me.
I'm stuck with Aya again on towards the next city, then i think I have to backtrack all the way to the circus again just to fight other gym leaders. Of course, that's after I beat Meteor here, then handle the subplot. Amazing how the game isn't even finished and has so much to it, but it does kind of drag on after a while.

So, 10 badges strong, my current team:

Gallustion - Blaziken 69
Scrotiptera - Noivern 70
Chaerilodea - Drapion 70
Cingpodidae - Sandslash* 70
Therarchnid - Galvantula 68
Rafflesia - Bellossom 68 / Cetopsidae - Vaporeon 59

Had to box Bellossom for the time being so I could Surf my way around, so Vaporeon is actually very under-leveled. But I find it annoying that just to get through the first circus gym I had to reach the cap, and I have a major chunk of plot to go through before my max rises again. Good thing I could stock on Common Candies. >_>
