RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

True, most RPG's may even start as a cheery state of mood, but dramatic players often screw it up and make it depressing anyways. There is no avoiding the "doom and gloom".

:/

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Let's take Starter RPG. At the start it was alright. Yeah, Pokemon travelling around. Then they fight Arceus. Characters vanish practically etc. You move on, end up in Sinnoh. This random Turtwig comes around and starts yelling. Then Nabby starts a good fight which shouldn't do anything to the status, then we all go to this alien planet thanks to me. Then Sniperfrog starts leaping around into fortresses and we get attacked.

The AaTM starts a war. That's were we are now.

Okay, Boddy. I see. :(

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Quick question, can we send multple entries?

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

We need a discussion topic. Anyone have any ideas?

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

How about some OC show and tell? Tell us about your favorite characters to RolePlay as!

I LOVED roleplaying with Dran on a different forum. I could always put in my sarcastic comments, because that goes with his personality!

It was amazing.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Ok... I like playing with Muddy (that's why I haven't brought in a new character in SRPG... yet), because I can basically god without anyone getting on my case. (I know it's a bad habit, but still...) Not like, kill everyone godding, more like, he can know pretty much anything.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Yah, Muddy is annoying to be a teamate too. But, he must be fun to control.
..
:/

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

He's a terribly irritating team mate. That's why I never run things like that. I'd god too much.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I made a character called Lulu, on one of the RPG's on PokeCircle. I fell in love with her. Shes almost an OC, but not really. I am in love with the original LuLu, from FFX. The picture I posted on there was a picture of the original one. Ahhh....

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Yeah, basically. But don't worry, he'll die soon. Well, not technically die. You'll see.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I love all of my aliases, which include Galeilo, Nido, Machigga, Pippy, Chris, Rudy, Boddy, Beau, and Boop. The funny thing is, that with each RPG I enter, I try to give my character a vivid backstory of their own.

Galeilo - Castle Siege RPG
Not very in-depth, as Castle Siege was one of my first RPGs. He strived to be all that, even though he was as weak as the next Magikarp. He did, however, have to realize his childishness when he was faced with the task of saving the world.

Nido - The Pokemon Project: Gen. 1 - Uprising RPG
One of my most favorite characters. Born with a fear of height, and VERY violent projectile vomiting, he grew up loving his friend, Nida. Frought with sadness for her death, he joined the uprising in hopes of avenging her death. I really liked using him, because he mixed comedy with seriousness.

Machigga - Delta Species RPG
My first RPG character. Not much thought went into his story right away, but I learned to love him as the story went along. He could be seen as the prototype for Galeilo.

Pippy - Starter RPG
A Piplup scorned by rejection, and only yearned for a friend. He often found the voice of a female soothing, since he would cry himself to sleep listening to the soothing song his mother would sing. Another one of my favorite characters.

Chris - Stewart Hall Academy
Another favorite. Unable to find a house he can call a home, Chris had spent all of his childhood wandering from foster family to foster family. His one salvation came when his last foster parents gave up on him, and decided to send him to Stewart Hall Academy. Since he is very shy and timid, parents do not want to adopt him.

Rudy - A New Dawn RPG
This might have been the one character I spent the most time planning. His hatred towards ROUGE burns with a dangeorus flame. Fighting for the vengeance of his mother's passing, he fights, but sometimes, he goes as far as to slay the opposing grunts. He, however, realizes his mistakes, and accepts his father, even if he did show cowardice. I had a lot of fun playing with him, and it was nice to see your reactions to how sinister his actions were.

Boddy - PokeLost RPG
This one was fun, while it lasted. Now, it seems as if PokeLost RPG has gone down in popularity. As a child, he aspired to become a writer. However, his dreams were crushed when his own author told him that his creations were garbage. Unable to accept this criticism, he threw away his hopes of being a writer, and focused more on the biology field.

Beau - Murder VII
Beau doesn't really have a backstory.

Boop - Big Brother: Oh Brother Not Again!
Neither does Boop.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

My favorite would have to be Serenity from stewart hall. For many reasons. I always think of a superhero in her image. Younge woman, powerful, shy. She was also my first Ever character. Yes aggie my first ever RPG was Stewart Hall. And I just had to put my characters in that persona. Like my character Sonya in a New Dawn is almost just like Serenity. So that was my favorite character so far. And all my character have somthing to do with white?

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Ice-Really? Cool. I knew there was something up when you asked all of those questions...
^_^

Boddy- Yah, Rudy was definitely fun to mess around with. It gave Isa something to do beyond following Joey around like a dog on a leash.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I liked playing as Pyro and his other parts (Natas, Blu and Pan)

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Thinking of what Boddy said, all of my characters have a similar personality. I find it difficult to play a character who is grim.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I've done that to you aggie? I'm SO sorry! I just like thinking of myself as the star of the RPG/game/whatever. Sorry! Anyway, I like all my characters. Some are grim, some are nice."

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

In fact, looking back, my favorite RPG was actually the Pokemon Project one that was started by 42 chocolate. It was fun, and Nido was a fun character to play! I don't know if any of you remember this, though. Except for Kaiserchu and aggie maybe...

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Joeypals!!-Well, your character was sort of the Ash in the story, will the rest of us were more like Brocks and Mistys. So, it was fun going our little mini-adventures on our own every once in a while. Don't worry, we roleplayers all go through the "attention" stage. I had it, nabby is just about to finish, and several others are still going through it. Don't worry, it'll pass.
;)

Boddy-Nido was a HILARIOUS character to mess around with. Until he decided to go back to his burned home and things got dramatic and the game died.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

aggie: Yah, I know. It was my fault the RPG died. I should have known better than trying to make Nido overly dramatic. But, still, it was a pretty fun RPG. If I recall, isn't this where Kaiserchu gave you "The Kiss of Life?"

Joeypals!: Ah, the Ash Phase. I had it back when I first started out. It'll pass after you become involved in a few RPG's. Sometimes, though, you still feel like you need to be the star. You just have to learn when the time is right or not.
