RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!
Attention stage? Is that an insult? Most of my RPG's die off quickly, so I instill drama to keep it going. Muddy was my first character, and he is ridiculously powerful, but he'll be gone soon and you won't need to (constantly) remind me how goddish he is.
RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!
Exactly. If you don't get the plot going quickly, people will find it boring and leave. So I use something dramatic to tide people over until the plot begins (because often it can't start right away).
RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!
OR you can make it so that all of the characters have something to do. Like maybe, some characters could go to class or do a battle. You don't have to make it so that we all randomly pop up in a desert, yah know.
And it's really not a big deal, nabbs. Everyone goes through the attention stage, don't take it so seriously.

I really need to change some stuff. Like Norzy's name, etc. I'm trying to improve the characters. Currently Drazmar is my favourite, but I've not explored much detail in him.

Creativity is something very difficult to incorporate into role-playing most of the time. At the start you have the storyline - and then it generally gets stuck to.

Randomly pop up in a desert? When did I do that? Although now that you mention it I could incorporate that into a plot...
Also, not every RPG has classes, and some of them have very few battles.
