Burakkusuta! Buchos Magnifico! Amazing! A black hole pokemon! And that nice patterns going arounds it's body. Just wow...

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Thanks! The map is almost finished~~

I just have a little modifications to make on it and some clean up as well. Expect it out by Friday. I updated the first page post with updated thumbnails of the fakemon released earlier this month. In addition, expect "updated" images of the newly released fakemon tonight and hopefully updated images of the older fakemon (starters, two mascots, and the 5 older ones) by the end of the week or the weekend.

I also would like to released some more fakemon as well as a gym leader or two. However, I had to work late today (two hours over with no overtime pay sucks hard).

Also, don't forget to make it over to my photography page! Click here!

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Ok! Finally, here is some more fakemon! There are three completely new ones and then the 2nd evolutions of the starters! I also will post up the working version of the Ongan Region map!! It is still work in progress but I feel content in its completeness! Please comment!!

Now, here is the region map of Ongan!!!
ongan_chiho_map_by_hitokirib-d31c1ic.png

The region is split up into two main islands which differ culturally, geographically, and even linguistically. The smaller island, Shougan has a more compact and denser population with several small towns and cities and one large city. Oogan is the larger island but has more forests, hills, mountains, and deserts. It does have several large cities as well.

There will be 8 gyms in total with a Pokemon League. Several pokemon may appear on one of the islands and not the other. As well, the map itself will change in appearance when in "Future Domain" and "Past Domain" modes.

I will add up location names in the near future so please be patient.

Enjoy!

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Favourite Pokemon out of the ones revealed would be Burrodori, really clever idea :D
Love the new map, looks really professional, and I am guessing you can use Dive in this game?

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

The region map is extremely well done, and the Fakemon are very unique and stand out. It seems like it could actually be a potential Pokemon spinoff at first glance. Keep up the wonderful work, I look forward to seeing more work ;D

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Thanks! I had a lot of fun designing Burrodori. However, he is a new addition to the fakedex. In fact, I would say he was 10 minutes new before I actually put him up on the fakedex haha. Expect a pre-evolution of him.

I am very happy how the region map turned out. However, if you have some criticism, I happily except it. It is far from being done but I felt it was ready to be viewed. It took close to a month to complete. I will tweak and change it such as enlarging some earlier buildings I designed, blending in textures, etc. I also forgot to add one important part of the map which, to me, makes it unique in the pokemon world. Expect it in the next update next week since it will tie in with a new fakemon.
_____________

I forgot I had one fakemon waiting to be revealed on Pokebeach. It was the first one revealed in my deviantart account. Here we go!

toxizardmini.png

#134 Toxizard/Tokisujira
The Radioactive Pokémon
Type: Poison/Dark
Ability: Poison Cloud or Intimidate
Color: Black
Height: 3'2
Weight: 83 lbs.

Tokisujira constantly tries to make friends however due to its poisonous nature, most pokemon and trainers try to avoid it. Therefore, it spends most of its time alone; wanting friends.

Toxizard was the first fakemon in the Ongan Region to have its English name revealed alongside its Japanese name. It was also the first fakemon revealed overall. This is because of plans to include it in the first movie covering the Ongan Region; much like how Lucario, Zorua, and Zoroark was.

Its English name is derived from Toxic and Lizard. It's Japanese name is derived from Tokisu (Toxic in Japanese pronunciation) and the -jira in Gojira (Godzilla). This points back to its radioactive nature.

Toxizard/Tokisujira Fakedex Entry

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

I don't want to get into the habit of posting non-completed work but I was fooling around with some styles and some ways to draw the art. I noticed in some of the fakemon, notably Morikikiba, that the color I used cause the lines to be much more darker then they should actually are. So I decided to mess around with line widths and such. The became more thicker and gave the fakemon a pasted on, filtered look that I tend to hate.

The actual art will be released later this week but this is the 2nd gym leader, an electric gym leader.

CelesteLA.png

I wanted to know what people thought of this design and if it works. I have done some new fakemon in this design as well and I am happy with the overall product but we shall see how it holds up when colored.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Wow for the Toxizard! You get five cookies! Amazing work on the Gym Leader as well but ... I can't seem to figure out if it's a male or female ... I'm a fail.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Yeah, that will be cleared up on the colored version. It is indeed a girl. A bit of information, she is also the leader of the anti-criminal organization. They are: the PokeSquad. They are still an extremist organization though lol.

I am glad you like Toxizard. He is an event-only pokemon and fairly powerful. It will know a signature attack called "Nuclear Fallout". Expect epicness when I release that lol.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Haha cool. I'm practicing drawing moves since I can't sprite them. I would like to get more attention for this project. I am happy to everones response. However, if people could, spread the word or mention this fakedex. Does anyone have any pointers?

Expect an update by Friday or Saturday morning. I have plans Saturday to Sunday so I may not be able to update then. Also, be on the lookout for a new legendary!

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Thanks. I am glad you think that. I have been debating if I should redesign them or not.

To keep this thread occupied while I finish up the remaining fakemon, here is four shadows of the fakemon that will be released. The legendary one is not included though. Tell me what you think and what your guesses are!

shadows4.png

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

The first one seems like a doll ... Maybe a psychic type?
Second one maybe Grass / Bug / Poison?
Third one Electric ... I'm about 75% sure about that :D

I'm stumped with the 4th one ... :(

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex: Guess the Shadows!!

Here is some information regarding some fakemon including starters released previously. Some of it can be seen on its fakedex page on my deviantart account while other information is Pokebeach Exclusives.

Third Legendary Shadow
A new shadow revealing a third legendary has been revealed. Its name, typing, ability, and plot within the storyline has yet to be revealed so please check back in the near future for information regarding this new legendary.

RE: Ongan Region Investigation: New Leaked Info/New Fakemon!!

I love the new fakemon especially Sagopanpu :p, love the idea behind it!
I'm guessing there are two fakemon in the legendary shadow?

RE: Ongan Region Investigation: New Leaked Info/New Fakemon!!

Wow, I'm speechless. All of the infomation is epic! I see a slight problem though, When I read about Mijyube I understood that it learns it's signature move at Lv.16 however in your attack chart it is said it learns the attack at Lv.11. You might want to check that.

RE: Ongan Region Investigation: New Leaked Info/New Fakemon!!

Jay - No, it is one largest legendary. Once I get a full-color version up, I will put it up online. I will also hold a poll to see if people think I should re-do the current legendaries. The third was looks completely different from the original ones I had. The one I will release soon is part of the trio legendary set.

HoS - I fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out.

While on the subject, I appreciate the attention you have spent on my project. It seems you two are the only ones who have invested time in looking and reading about it. For that, I am very grateful. I really hope this project takes off but I still want to keep it strictly on deviantart and Pokebeach. Any ideas?

RE: Ongan Region Investigation: New Leaked Info/New Fakemon!!

I like the concept with the legendaries but i suggest you redo Garakuia
