Aura Sphere, Drain Punch, and Close Combat are the best choices for you by far. There's also Vacuum Wave and possibly Mach Punch as well (though those might both be egg moves).
Oh right, Close Combat. I completely forgot about that move.

Do we have any information about Meloetta's distribution here in the U.S?
Nope. So far it's Japan only.

Why are they waiting so long to release Meloetta in North America anyway? Personally I don't care much for Meloetta, but what's the deal? I guess no one really knows anyway...

I heard it was going to be December something, probably to coincide with the movie.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

I guess that makes sense. If only the movie would have come out earlier...

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Was the movie already released in Japan? I guess that would make sense because everything is released like a year before there.

In the Dream World how is a female Pokemon determined? How do you know it is a female before you play the mini game with the Pokemon? This way I can figure out how to get more females rather than males. Thanks XD.:)

I thought the gender was determined at the entree forest, but I'm probably completely wrong since I can't ever really access the Dream World anyway...

You don't. You have to play the minigame and chance that it's a female.

The gender is determined when you finish the minigame with the Pokemon. It will tell you immediately its (hidden) ability, its gender, and one of the moves it knows (which might be DW-exclusive).

There doesn't seem to be a way to tell their gender before beating the mini games, sadly (unless they have obvious gender differences), and the Pokemon's gender is set when you beat them. Expect to see a lot of males and very few females, the DW is very stingy when it comes to DW females.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Aw crud so we don't know until we actually obtain the data. What is the new mini game like? I have not seen the new area yet XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

So when you use the Dojo in Join Ave to train... how many EVs do you get?

I have a Attack Lv. 24
does that give me 24 EVs?

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Geez, almost every thread with a lot of posts has trouble displaying new posts...

I checked there and everywhere else already. Nothing gives info on the specific EVs you get. I'll just have to test it myself.
EDIT: Just checked, and yes, that seems like what it does.
I needed 6 more EVs. I used Lv 4 training. Then my pokemon ate 2 more wings before it said it couldn't anymore. I think that confirms it.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

What is the easiest way to play the new mini game in the DW? I am having a hard time trying to figure out the right board and speed I should have. Thanks XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

There's a new minigame? What's the name and what area is it in?

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Yeah it is in Dream Park. It is some Surfboard game and it is kind of hard and you only get 3 tries to save a score XD. The hard part is selecting your speed.:) I got it down though finally XD.:)

The name of the minigame is Play Board. The Pokemon will say that they want to skip across the lake, or something. You have three boards you can choose from. One is a high speed board, one high flying, and one ideal for skipping across the water. Once you choose your board, you then select your speed by timing your click for when the indicator is in the red zone. Then you select your jump angle, again my timing your click. Once you launch, you have to angle your board via your mouse to line up parallel to the arrow indicating the wind direction. While in the air, you can see random Pokemon floating around that give you bonus points. Balloons and other things seen in the air also boost your score on impact. Once you start to fall, you have to time your click again, this time right before (or right as; I'm terrible at this) you hit the water. Doing so will launch you into the air again to gain more distance. The farther you go, the more points you get. Once you have stopped, you have the option to quit, or try 2 more times, with the same board you first chose.
