RE: The B/W Questions and Answers Thread
This may seem like an odd question, but I figured I should ask regardless of the results I've found in my research, just in case people have experienced something similar.
In Black and White, is it possible to get PokéRus from an in-game trainer's Pokémon? (For example, fighting Cynthia in Undella Town.) From everything I've seen so far online the answer is no, but twice now this year I've turned on my game after not having played for a few days and 2-3 of the Pokémon on my team have had PokéRus, and they've had it long enough for it to progress to the "smiley face" phase, meaning they can no longer spread it. The Pokémon affected by the PKRS are Pokémon that I know I never used to fight a wild Pokémon recently, and whenever I check my boxes to see if there's a Pokémon in there spreading it, I can't find a Pokémon with the virus.
I've lately only played my game to fight all of the "daily" trainers (rivals, sports dome trainers, etc.) and I pretty much never fight wild Pokémon unless I'm EV training something. (And none of the Pokémon I've EV trained have caught PKRS.) The first time this happened was a few months ago, and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Pokémon in my team caught it and had it long enough without me noticing for it to become unspreadable. Now today I turned on my game and the last two Pokémon on my team caught it and had it long enough for it to become unspreadable. I've kept the same last 5 Pokémon in my team for the last year+ now, and never have I had the 1st Pokémon on the team (which changes around as I EV train things, but is often Hydreigon) contract PKRS. What's going on?
