BW/BW2 The Simple 5th Gen VG Questions and Answers Thread

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Okay I'm pretty sure it's not hacked because it's a kingdra and was me on route 17 where you can actually catch them. I ask because it was modest... Anyway I keep breeding my Natursal Cure starmie but for some reason i'm only getting Illuminate staryus. Anyone know why?

NVM just hatched a natural cure one

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

If you go on Pokecheck.org, you can do a hack check on the Kingdra. Just follow the directions there.

Also, I think you're just having bad luck. The ability ratio is still 50:50 for Illuminate and Natural Cure. If you keep trying I'm sure you'll get one with Natural Cure.

In Black/White 2 where is the Daycare, and the person that tells you your pokemon's hidden power?

The daycare is exactly where it used to be, Route 3 above Striaton. You can only access it after you beat the Pokemon League though.
The guy who tells you the Hiiden Powers is at the PWT. When you enter the PWT area, there are 3 NPCs behind benches. The two on the down side are the Move Tutor and Move Deleter. The one opposite to them is the Hidden Power guy.

I think the PGL runs on Eng time. If I'm correct, then when you posted it was 7.30 GMT. So nothing strange.
Then again, I'm not completely sure. Maybe someone else can help you more.

It says that it is supposed to go down at 3 AM EST. That would be midnight PST not 11 PM PST XD. If it was 11 PM PST that would be 2 AM PST XD.:)

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

As of my experience, it displays the time in your registered time zone. It could appear that way to me just because I live in the EST zone, though...

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Where does it display the time and can timezones be changed? Thanks XD. Chariblaze if you know something add your 2 cents too. Thanks XD.:)

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

I believe you had the option to set it up when you signed up, but I'll check again (it's been so long). I'll check the main site as well to see if it can be changed in the settings there.

Edit: The only thing I found is presumably a language setting, but it may be a region setting as well. It wouldn't be unheard of for the site to approximate your location by your IP address, though.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Oh that's weird XD.:) I hope we can set it sometime soon XD.:)

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

I have heard in both BW1 and BW2 that if you take a Keldeo, plus the other 3 legendary cows, to the Moor of Icirrus (or Pledge Grove), Keldeo gets tutored Secret Sword. I have a few questions about that.

~How many times can a single game do this? Once, or infinitely many?
~If Keldeo auto-changes to Resolute when tutored this in BW2, can it be traded back to BW1 and revert back to the usual appearance?
~And is the reverse true - i.e. if a Keldeo in BW1 knows Secret Sword and is traded, does it switch to Resolute?

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

I don't know the answers your second+third questions, but on the first one, I believe if you delete Secret Sword then you can come back (can't remember with or without the cows) you can get Secret Sword again.
Also, in Pledge Grove, the cows don't need to be there for Keldeo to learn Secret Sword.

First off, you only need the musketeer trio with you for BW1 (in the Moor of Icirrus). In BW2, just take Keldeo behind Alder's house (Pledge Grove).

Answers in order:

~Infinitely
~it won't look Resolute on BW1 since the sprite doesn't exist, but the code is still there for when it's traded back (or appears in a wifi battle with BW2).
~If it is taught SS on BW1, it wil not become resolute even when traded to BW2. the only way to revert the form from an existing Resolute Keldeo is to remove SS.

Edit: fixed a spelling fail. and clarified a point.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

DNA asking a question? I have never heard such a blasphemy!
Anyway, as for questions number two and three, I don't see a problem with that. It is logical that they would allow you to do that, as long as the moves are in both and learning Resolute isn't scripted.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Just a question I was thinking about (mainly due to my newly-acquired Shiny Graveler): If Explosion/Selfdestruct is used on a Ghost-type, does the Pokemon using said move(s) kill itself?

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Yes.

If Selfdestruct or Explosion is used, the user will always faint - it doesn't matter if it misses, Protect is used, or there's type immunities. The user fainting happens before the damage, actually.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Minor piont: the pokemon user not faint if there is any pokemon in play with the ability Damp. In that case, the move will fail entirely, regardless of target. This ability doesn't see much use, however, since all the pokemon that get it have much better alternate abilities. This isn't entirely relevant since one Ghost gets Damp (and finds it especially useless), but an ally could have it in a double/triple battle, unlikely as it is.

Edit: Fixed a typo, thus correcting the meaning of the final statement.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Jellicent.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

If there is no target it will not faint.

Ex. If the opponent is faster and uses Momento.

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

In the Dream World now that our plant beds are more than 10 rows of berries do you think they will increase the water maximum from 20 berries to 30 berries? I am asking because it would give everyone a chance to complete a bed completely rather than leaving one or 2 or more berries they could have watered XD. Hope they will fixthis soon. Plus they need to add a point counter so we know how many points we collected on each sync. If not in the DW itself put it on my page next to the max dream points. All they need to do is add a thing that says today's points next to that XD.:)

RE: The Simple Questions and Answers Thread

Not being able to water a whole bed leaves some for someone else to water. I personally see it as an improvement since it used to be tricky to find gardens that needed watering if you got on at the wrong time. The existing 20 patch limit is working fine as it is.
