2) Photoshop is not needed, in fact, Photoshop is a horrible program for spriting, imo.
3) Nobody can sprite until they try.

do you have microsoft paint? if not, get pixen. it's free.

click the start menu, click acessories, and look for paint, you get it free on your computer so you should have it.
