It could be that they test a lot and really try hard. I take first place in all my local events and I never cheat.

What am I missing? There must be somthing im not doing right.

I play a good deck. (dialgaChomp)
I practice at league every week.
I go to all major tournys. (the closer ones)

What have I left out?

states deck question/prediction

flychamp
flyphan with queen

these are my choices. reason being flychamp is in there is that donphan is still big and theres about 2 weeks until states start. so then people are going to counter with a ton of water decks. so im wondering if i should play it safe and go with 'champ and have a larger chance of not having a autoloss against water or go risky with speeed?

@Cyndaquil Master: What division are you in?

@Shadoworganoid: They have CRAZY amounts of skill and experience. Like Radu Ciocan from MN. He doesn't cheat-he is just-really really good. Some cheat and win because of it, others don't cheat and can still win. Experience and practice my friend.

Its just like when I play Halo 3 online. Ive been playing that game every night for the past year and im no better then when I started. Grrrr....

And that pre release win doesnt count. None of use were using our true decks.
HOWEVER, this does prove 1 thing. It proves that I have decent judgment as to whats good and whats not.


EDIT: Richkid; Flyphan will be good, but DialgaChomp will murder you. Thats why i hope people play it. Time Crystal to shut off all 3 bodies and then I can just run them over.

If skill was really all there was to it, then I would be well known.

That video posted about shuffling to stack your opponents deck, well, this just proves that people cheat. Why not here too?

I've played for about 2 years now and have never had a 1st place finish ever. Small tourny or Large. Nope. Never.

Yet here there are, other players that WIN, nearly every time.

My secret is being awesome. That and I play Shuppet.

REALLY though, I just have worked my deck so much and the tech room as shifted so much through testing that I really have a near-perfect build, and I can draw a nice opening near-every game. Do note, mine is an odd build compared to most.

No. Shuppet is auto-loss to Dialga G. But Dialga G isn't gonna be played as much I don't think. I think Flygon will be HUGE at states, which can take on Dialga/Chomp with a stubborn power that it cant seem to match. There are new things that can take on Dialga/Chomp that personally, IMO, now I say IMO, cannot defeat.

What do you think the best flygon deck to make for states is? I have a full flygon line....

THAT my friend would be a matter of opinion, no? Personally, I can think of the best variant, but thats just my opinion of course. Others may think differently.

I sweep prereleases without even getting extremely "good" cards, yet I fail at other tourneys. It goes to show that I can make the best out of what I have and have skill, but then at other tourneys I run rogue decks and get bad luck and then do bad...

^^Simple solution to that-don't run rogues. You may not like it, but meta decks win. Rogues aren't always guaranteed to do so. Also, think about all your moves before you execute them. Don't just draw and attach and such, think your entire move through. Think EVERYTHING your opponent has in play, and so on and so forth. Honestly.

If people are running Donphan counters, go with FlyChamp. Machamp isn't exposed to the Water weakness, and can still do pretty good.

I for one, still think Dialga G is going to be very popular. Trainer locking and Stadium locking is something most decks can't stand. Garchomp C can already snipe/heal, and Dialga G is pretty much solid. It does have some bad matchups, but overall should still be meta-popular.
