The only reason why Shaymin comes into mind is due to Jumpluff having 90HP. If your opponent keeps the attacking Pokemon benched they can come out at Shaymin doing some pretty high damage on it. Of course, this is a scenario in which your opponent can play around the high damage, which isn't likely due to Jumpluff's high speed.

And speaking of Pokemon kept on the bench (which is likely once your opponent figures out that you are playing Jumpluff) then you can run Pokemon Reversal. It's flippy, but works when KO'ing benched Pokemon.

Jumpluff is pretty good, both as a deck and a tech in a deck.

I really dont see jumpluff being run as a teck.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Yeah, I'm wondering that as well. Unless it is just another attack to dish out damage towards the mid-game, where most of the Pokemon would be out.

It comes out more unexpected to take ushally 2 prizes if brought out in the correct situation. Could be used in Charizard for 'Gatr

thats really not a teck. All decks ive seen with jumpluff coming out as a suprise are called "Jumpluff"

Thanks Gliscor. Anyway for HGSS ideas, I've thought of a few:

There's the possibility of bringing Amphytric back, since Ampharos Prime and DCE give the deck a nice boost, and powers are quite huge. I'm talking 2 PL Ampharos, 1 Ampharos pPime, and 1 Ampharos SW with a 1-1 or 2-2 Manectric PL. Spread and disrupt and then attack with whichever Ampharos pleases you.

I've also thought (like many) of using Lumineon MT with Feraligatr Prime. Expert Belt can help with the low HP and sometimes low damage, and no energy isn't that hard to get if you're using the MT Croconaw, Bronzong SF, Fisherman and Roseanne's.

My final thought would be Dustox PL. Powers and bodies are on nearly every pokemon these days. With DCE and a grass energy, Dustox can do 60 and burn and confuse them and then they can't hurt Dustox. Of course, Blaziken PL would be nice in there. If they DON'T have a body/power, use Fire Breath plus Smogscreen. With DCE Blaziken can also handle Dialga G, or even Dustox can, since he still can use special conditions though he won't be invincible. Dugtrio PL for retreating. The one other thing that could hinder this deck though is Unown G.

Overall, each can counter the metagame. Charizard is getting hyped here with the imminent release of Ninetales, so Lumineon/Gatr could put a stop to that. Of course if water types get popular with Feraligatr Prime to charge them up so they can counter Charizard, Amphy will KO them. (If Feraligatr itself is a popular attacker, I can use my already-built Cherrim SF swarm deck that surprisingly works, though it went 2-2 at cities. I barely lost to this really good senior and could have gotten 3rd place instead of 6th.) Then Dustox will counter mostly anything, since mostly everything has powers and bodies. Of course it depends on it actually working, and the popularity of Dialga G and Unown G.

Against Dustox, Jumpluff works well since it doesn't use any Poke Powers or Poke Bodies. On Jumpluff, at least. And against 120HP Jumpluff can hold its own with its speed and high damage abilities.

Also, Gatr doesn't have a Lightning weakness, it has a Grass weakness. Jumpluff counters Gatr, Gatr counters Charizard, and Charizard counters Jumpluff if the deck does not use a Metapod tech.

Question, are you guys running HGSS for states, some other metagame deck, or are you going to try to make a counter for HGSS decks?

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

We are thinking what decks will be ran in the HGSS meta, and what decks can counter which. Also what tiers the decks would be through the member's playtests.

Answer, we are just talking and not reavelling to much.

I think that the speed of puff is wicked the fact that it can do 120 with five bench each side (this is commen) also it can do 140 with a belt and even more with plus powers. I think the meatapod tech is alot better then Exploud because
A you don't have to burn a candy
B you can use BTS
But puff I going to do decent I mean there are no
Body's
Power's
and to knock it out is easy but that is why like said above you could tech in a shymin

I personlly don't like the shaymin I mean my list is tight but I do think that it could work

Thanks for accepting me to the team Gliscor.

As for HGSS I think that Blissey Prime would be good with Rampardos because rampardos doesn't have much of an energy cost and puts lots of damage on itself. Another idea would be donphan with an exploud tech.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

I'm just gonna run whatever counters my metagame. I'm thinking Luminators, Dustox, New Amphytric, Porygon-Z etc... I know Feraligatr itself is weak to grass, but don't you think people are gonna attack with some other pokemon and use Feraligatr on the bench instead? Charizard will probably be more in masters anyway and I don't think Luminators is very good overall. Dustox could work, but now that i think about it maybe not. Ampharos I'm liking though. It's Spread, lock and disrupt. Porygon-Z is also very good.

Thanks for letting me be in the club/group!

Also, is the Luxray banner suppose to be a little blurry?

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

I just faced an amphy deck (the only real counter to my deck) and i won 1-0 because of a coin flip (my active blastoise took 100 more damage leaving it at 20 HP left). :p

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

What kind of Amphy deck exactly? There can be many differences.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Hmm... Unusual. I'm aiming for something more like Amphytric. HGSS gives the deck a real boost, mainly with DCE and Ampharos Prime.

I was facing a deck for my lil' bro and because he prolly wont be able to get hid deck 'till after worlds, he made a deck that focused on pokemon from HS. It actually did pretty well though...
