The Storms ~ This format was ours!

I honestly have no idea what I'll be playing for the States. My meta is always very difficult. If I have a meta. My area is just basically a little bit of everything. At the previous BR's/Cites, there was a little bit of Flygon, a little bit of SP, a little bit of Gyarados, stuff like that. So my choice would have to be something that does well, and doesn't have too many weaknesses.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

My meta is also a bit of everything. At cities though Speedrill was the most popular deck but then I started seeing some Lady Gaga and other Dialga G, Luxray GL, or Garchomp C variants.

Haha, States metagame is always very hard to predict. :p

In my experience, most people going to a states play a counter to something they expect. For example, Florida states last year, almost everyone was expecting SPs to be popular (which they weren't, due to the fact that everyone was teching against them) so almost everybody played a 2-1-2 Machamp like in their decks. That's actually how GeChamp was born.

The way to win at States is to expect to be countered. If you know that there is a chance that ONE card will devastate your strategy, tech against it yourself. Chances are at least one person will be playing that card, and unless you have a counter to their counter, you're going to lose. Imho, it doesn't matter what deck you take as long as you have the ability to counter their counter.

Yeah my Cherrim deck is weak to Dialga G but my Flareon RR tech takes it out everytime, even before it's leveled up. Also I posted an Ampharos list in "Fix My Deck!" please check it out.

^Well thats where testing comes in, know what you beat, what beats you, how to beat what beats you, what techs beat you, and how to beat the techs that beat you.

That's what I'm doing. In my normal, it is actually also the same. There is no popular deck, it's just a whole bunch of decks. So it is hard where I live.

And that's why for States, I'm running Jumpluff. Its worst matchup is really anything that can break the swarm, like Palkia G Lv.X and Dusknoir DP.

True but what are you playing with the Jumpuff.

Talking about legoes do you think that the deck is usable right now I mean Gator is out but I don't htink most people will use it do you?

Most people don't use Dusknoir DP anymore do they unless they use Flygon dusky which I have seen.

Which do you think is bettter
Jumpchamp
Jumpswarm

Perhaps Jumpluff with Machamp? Jumpchamp, right? In the end, you are still swarming them but Machamp is just added for SP matchups.

Honestly, Gliscor, Machamp is a little redundant. You already one-hit KO everything they can throw at you. They can one-hit KO you, too, depending on what they play, but you should have enough recovery where it won't bother you much. So, my opinion stands for Swarmpluff instead of JumpChamp.

As for counters to that deck, Palkia G and Dusknoir are easily dealt with. You can Reversal/Bright Look it up and KO it. In my opinion, the deck's real weakness is Spiritomb. Jumpluff was made for speed, and without that, it has little to nothing. Dusknoir and Palkia are incredibly silly when you compare them to the destructive capabilities of Spiritomb.

Right that is why I made the deck my dad is not convenced on it yet he thinks that the deck is to I don't know just kind of weak I mean he is not getting good hands when i play test him but I still win IDk when I go to league we will see how good it is.

But the advantages to jumpchamp is

1. THe energy is low
2. You can donk
3. Your fast
4. Sp's always lose to you
5. Speed
6. Tons of good match ups
7. All the above
8. Gator goes bye bye

The bad stuff
1. 30 HP for a hopip is not good
2. Palkia and Dusky do a little numbe to you
3. Low HP
4. Weak to fire
5. Might be banned it is so good:p

So you added in the luxray line just to bring out Dusky and to kill Palkia. Why no Pokeblowers? 4 cards aginst a SP engine.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

And why no Pokemon Reversal? It's flippy, but is basically a Bright Look if you get heads.

Machamp might be a little bit overkill, but is helps the SP matchups quite some bit. More importantly Legoes, since if you don't run Luxray they would just tear through your swarm. So I guess Machamp depends on the meta. Oh well.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

You forget the ever-potent Cursegar deck. If you haven't noticed, they lock Blowers. Not to mention, Jumpluff is incredibly flexible in what it runs, and as such can make room for those extra cards. With Poke Turns, you can also use Bright Look again and again.

Options:
-Luxray GL Lv.X. Unless your playing SPs or Cursegar, you get a guaranteed 4 switches.
-Poke Blower +. You get two switches, and that's not to say you'll even draw into two or some will be prized.
-Pokemon Reversal. Luck-based, but up to four switches.

If you ask me, Luxray is the best option.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

The list is very tight but if you could fit in reversal then that would be awsome. But still the Machamp would help aginst palkia I never thought of that.

What is cursegar again and what is the deck Lady gaga?Never understood these things myself

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Cursegar is a Gengar variant revolving around Gengar from Platinum: Arceus. The idea is to keep them in a perpetual Trainer lock while you use Shadow Skip to hit and run. Then, you use "Curse" to spread the damage around. You finish with Gengar Lv.X and "Compound Pain", spreading 30s to the board for massive prize turn out.

Lady Gaga is a fancy name for Luxray/Garchomp.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

There's many different ways to Play Jumpluff. The 4 main counters to it are, Mr. Mime, palkia G Lv.X, Dusknior and spirtomb. All hurt you really badly in differnet ways. Palkia and dusknior reduce your bench reducing you net damage output. While Palkia does this better, by reducing both players down to 3 bench leaving jumpluff hitting for 70 unless there are other basics played compared to dusknior which only removes 1, but dusknior is much more common than Palkia G Lv.X and gets to chose what to schuffle back into the deck. Mime just walls you and Spirtomb can really slow you down. And spirtomb all depends what is on the other side of the spirtomb wheather or not the matchup is winable.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

I have a question:

what decks would feraligatr be put in? (other than blasoise and the deck about itself)

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

I have heard of it in Empoleon to snipe 70 then 80 then 70 then 80 ect. I saw it at league it's really slow though.

Machamp in Jumpluff would counter spiritomb and palkia because they're basics. Mr. Mime only blocks damage unless it's evolved from Mime Jr., so Machamp would counter this too.
