RE: Trivia of DNA I

If you actually bothered to do the math, Zyflair, you would know that 15 is not the answer.
As for the question...oyeah got it correct. Just, fyi, the number i is usually written lowercase.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

NINJAS NINJAS NINJAS

Okay, so I've got the next couple questions written up. I'm going to take things a bit slower. These questions should be relatively easy if you think about them.

Let's start with something TCG based. And unlike last time, this is going to be very simple and I didn't miss anything.
As with the last one, everything you need to know will be in this post - you won't need to go hunting for scans.

So let's assume you're vsing me. We draw our hands, set our basics and prizes, and all that. You win the coin flip, so you go first. You have a Tyrogue as your lone Pokemon. I have a Mew active and a Gastly on my bench. You draw a card at the start of your turn, and your hand now looks like this:

PlusPower
Junk Arm
Seeker
Fire Energy
Seeker
Fire Energy
Junk Arm

How can you win in this turn? Make sure to explain your reasoning. By the way, this is HS-on, and we're playing B/W rules, so you can play trainers on T1.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Yes you are. But remember an alternate win condition is if your opp has no Pokemon left in play.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

You can't, unless I"m miscounting. After you play Seeker and Pluspower, there's only enough cards in your hand for you to use Junk Arm 1 time, and get PlusPower back one time. Therefore, you only hit for 50 damage, 10 short.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Teapot is winner. He's correct - with the current conditions, it is not possible to win. You will either KO the Mew, or you'll be 10 short and you use the Seeker.
I love trick questions.

Hatman - 2
Snivylover555 - 1
Delta - 1

Azelf Master - 1

All right, part 2 of this question.

Picture the same scenario. Everything's the same. However, if one of the Fire Energies in your hand were replaced with a different card, it actually IS possible to win in this turn. Name the card in question, and say how it's possible. By the way, the odds have to be 100% that you'll win with this replacement card.

Note: You may NOT say "PlusPower" as your answer.

And since this may be a bit challenging, I'll let you look at card scans. Here's a hint: It's in the HS-on format, and it's NOT in the Black & White set. Get cracking.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

I don't know anything about the TCG but...

-Use Plus Power
-Play Seeker to remove Gastly
-Junk Arm, discard Fire energy and Fire energy, return Plus Power to hand
-Use Plus Power

At this point you cannot use Junk Arm again because you only have one other card in your hand..? So the max damage Tyrogue can do is 50 because only 2 Plus Powers have been played, thus you can't win turn one?

EDIT: DAMMIT PEOPLE NINJAS DOJeqfwergf

EDIT 2: You need to either do 10 damage with a card, or switch Gastly and Mew. Pokemon Circulator switches them.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Yes you can, Guilty Spark.

Bacon...since that was a guess for the last question, try again for this question.

RE: Trivia of DNA I

Teapot is winner once again. Hatman is not correct because Pokemon Reversal requires a coin flip. You get tails and you miss out.

With all things considered, how many Pokemon are able to hurt their attacker in retaliation when they get hit by a move that makes contact?

Oh, forgot to mention, this is video-game based, not TCG-based.
