The only Japanese names I know are either Windie (Arcanine) and quite a few 5th Gen Pokemon...
But I wouldn't put it past him to ask for Japanese names...

(Still earnestly thinking about an answer...)

Zapdos's japanese name is Thunder
Joleton's is Thunders.

It is Jolteon, but Zapdos' Japanese name is not Thunder; it's サンダー.
And Jolteon's is サンダース so lol.

I was hoping to do Articuno and Cryogonal, but the letters were too different >.<

Outside of the moves Toxic, Fling, and Secret Power, how many Water/Ground type Pokemon are capable of poisoning an opponent's Pokemon in some fashion (provided the target isn't Steel type or has Immunity or something)?

And name the Pokemon!

uh... erm...

The only water/grounds are Quagsire, Gastrodon, and Whiscash

Gastrodon with sludge bomb or wave or whatever that new move is
Quagsire for the same reason
but not whiscash

so two. Quagsire/Gastrodon.

That's cool 'n all, but Swampert is also water ground, and you left him out. And Marshtomp.

So I'm going to guess, 4: Swampert/Quagsire/Gastrodon/Marshtomp, and hope that they know that move.
