Vampires Suck.

I'm not gonna lie, I've READ the whole series, and kind of enjoyed it, and watched the movies, but the hype is unnecessary. The movies are horrible anyways. But I have to say I'll probably enjoy this movie because I'll get all the jokes, and I hate all those people who are overly obsessed.

I have to say that the best spoofs are made by people who actually enjoy what they are spoofing. They better understand the material and know what there is to make fun of to make it funny. See 'A Very Potter Musical' on youtube. Obviously made by Harry Potter fans, and enjoyed by HP fans (haters wouldn't get some of the jokes, because they never enjoyed the series).

THANK YOU, FINE SIR. This is what makes a movie good, not solely the fact that they're making fun of a certain movie.

Also, everyone take a look at this. I lol'd.

"Vampires Suck has received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics, it currently has a "Rotten" score of 3% on Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus being "Witlessly broad and utterly devoid of laughs, Vampires Suck represents a slight step forward for the Friedberg-Seltzer team." -Wikipedia

That's a valid point as well. You can't create a movie about something you've never actually watched. But you need the incentive to create a spoof. Heres the formula:

Spoof= Hatred of a movie, book, character, global event, etc.
Creating a spoof= Equals understanding of the jokes and exploiting them.
To enjoy a spoof= Dislike of the theme, while understanding the jokes.

It's been said by the Vampires Suck people that Twilight heads are the ones who will most enjoy the movie, simply because they understand the series. Haters will go to see the movie based on the hatred of Twilight, but they won't understand half the jokes, unless they have watched the movies. Simple.

I think you missed my point. I was saying that the best spoofs are written by people who enjoy the material for people who enjoy the material. Someone who hates scary movies didnt write the Scary movies, and people who don't like scary movies wouldnt get most of it. Although they are mocking them, its not aimed at haters.

But why would you create a movie that mocked something you liked? It says the the VS trailer, "From the guys who couldn't stand another Vampire Movie" they obviously do not like the Twilight series. Or else they would've just left it alone. Just sayin'.

Ok, I'm pretty sure I brought this up before

Hating Twilight will not make this film better -_- There gonna be making fun of Twilight, and to laugh at a joke YOU HAVE TO GET THE JOKE! Thus meaning nobody will like it because:
A] People who don't get the series will not laugh
B] People who love Twilight will go mad with rage
C] Low budget :/
Although some Twilight fans might like it B)

I Watched the movies don't like them a lot but I can understand the jokes in some of them.

I just said the best. Not all spoofs. But they would spoof movies they like because people who like it would find it funny. They can relate to what the joke is because they have seen/read/etc the series.

And you have a good point TDL. But I think that most people seeing it will have seen it already. I know I was dragged (drug?)
there by my gf (twilight) So I would get some of the jokes. Thats why I think this movie has so many people wanting to see it, no matter how much you hate it, you can't escape it Lol. Everyone has seen it.

to be honest it looked more like a faster satire of the movie series with cheap humor then a spoof, and of course using small out of context props to poke fun at current vampire series, to be honest the last 5-10 minute's of the movie was the only thing that made me like it, other then that it wasn't that great. cya

Vampires Suck indeed. Not only is it feeding Twilight's ever-growing army of stupidity...
...but it's another excuse for Seltzerburg (the unholy duo behind this and Epic Movie, Scary Movie, etc.) to make money.
They are the scum of the movie industry... no wait... that would be Miley Cyrus.
