This freaking role fish.
##VOTE: CELEVER

I was asking for clarification on his role, not to get his role in the first place. The information wouldn't be hypothetically useful even if I were a wolf, so it's not really a role fish.
That information would insanely helpful to a wolf.

Why are you bringing that back up OS? It was discussed at length at the beginning of the day. Are you trying to derail actual conversation?

After thinking about it I guess it would. I'm not a wolf so I didn't think it would really matter much since it seems trivial, but I realised that it's important to them for the same reason it's important to me. I wanted to see if Bigfoot would get leaks from the mason chat I'm a part of, because it's obviously useful information to know if you're part of a QT. I just realised that wolves are also part of a QT...

If your QT is really a town aligned QT then what difference would it make if Bigfoot could see leaks from it?

It doesn't make a huge difference, however it is still useful to know if a random message may be leaked to an outsider. Nothing more, nothing less.

So by asking the question that in theory if you were actually town then it would not really benefit you and you helped the wolves more than you helped town.

Well in theory it did, but it actually just told them that Bigfoot can't get leaks from their chat, which means that it is fairly weak info for them to have. It was helpful for the mason chat as we do not know if there is a wolf or revolutionary in there.

Either way, I didn't assess the situation properly when I asked the question, so sorry about that :[

I'm thinking Celever didn't even realize he was role fishing - He may have asked a dumb question that helped the scum team but that doesn't make him scum. It seems as though quite a few players seem to be playing differently this game which doesn't necessarily help us (Camoclone, Lenny, Celever).

Differently doesn't necessarily mean worse or better.

It may be worth mentioning that part of my lead involves Celever being part of the Daily Prophet.
Happened to me in another WW game once (two, actually, I think). Wouldn't surprise me if it happened again.

Celever said:
Also, the Daily Prophet doesn't really have any connection to a Death Eater from my fairly small research, so I'm willing to say it's a town paper. The editor-in-chief is certainly not a Death Eater, anyway.

In the final book, the Minister of Magic is killed and then replaced by a Death Eater, thus giving Voldemort complete control over the entire ministry.
The original ministry was known (or at least suspected) for influencing the Daily Prophet, as it was a highly influential paper, and they wanted the public to know (/think) everything in the ministry was fine. When the Death Eaters took over the ministry, it is known that they took over the Daily Prophet as well. They stopped reporting deaths that they were responsible for, and bogus news srticles (such as muggle-borns stealing wands from true wizards).
It became an unreliable source of information, and many resistance members turned to other sources, such as the Potterwatch or The Quibbler.

In short, I'm not trusting anything the Daily Prophet says. Not yet. It is too easy to assume that their messages are being at least partially controlled by Death Eaters.

Hey, let's take a look at this:

As Draco and his mother are dead, why haven't someone started thinking about Lucius Malfoy?

I mean, thanks to the movie and Narcissa's death...:
Narcissa Malfoy (GM Draclord)

Alignment: Independent
You are a student’s mother and a Death Eater’s wife. Based on the situation dwelling the Hogwarts castle, you don’t want to risk to lose any of them, so you’ll do whatever it takes to keep the family as a whole.
...we already know he's a Death Eater (Wolf) and he may be in the game, but wait, what about Draco?
Thanks to "Unbreakable Vow":
Passive Ability: Unbreakable Vow
You of the Malfoy Manor have made an unbreakable vow. If one of you dies, the other members will go to the faction the deceased was sided with (if a faction was to change, you’ll receive that faction’s Win Condition).

He could've been part of another faction, and because of his mother's death he changed to the independents? If he did, the same thing would've happened to Lucius I think, unless he was an exception to that ability.

If that's wrong, let's think about something else: All the Malfoys are part of the Malfoy Manor. They can communicate in a safe chat apart from the game. If we brought back Narcissa and Draco to life they could tell us who Lucius is. Excluding the idea of only being able to see the alias and not the user name in the QT.

Any ideas?

How do we do that. Do you have an ability that can bring people back to life? If not, why did you even mention that

RE: Werewolf XXIV: The Wizarding War - Day 2 ends December 24th, at 23:59 GMT

KoN, I know, that's why I brought up the topic of the time frame. This is before the take over of the ministry by death eaters.

He does, he practically claimed it earlier.

Dogger, why would the Malfoys tell you anything? If Lucius is part of the independents like you believe he is, the other Malfoys will also come back aligned with the independents...

I'll read everything I missed, around 20 pages, and sorry for not posting but I have been helping with Christmas stuff at my house :/

Why not mentioning it? What if someone else have it?

Let's put it like this, the Death Eaters are also a threat to the Independents. What if Lucius was actually a Death Eater and not an Independent at the beginning and that's why they killed Draco, because as Narcissa died, Draco became Independent and could've reveal who Lucius is. All this, assuming that Lucius doesn't have the Unbreakable Vow ability.

Now the thing is if they have the usernames of the characters in the QT or not.
Another thing to take into account is that if one of them was brought back to life... Would they be active enough to answer our questions, or if they would even want to answer them.

If we brought them back to life, wouldn't they try to fulfill their win condition. Why would they help us?

RE: Werewolf XXIV: The Wizarding War - Day 2 ends December 24th, at 23:59 GMT

I didn't even realize celever already posted that^^

But considering 2 people came up with the same argument.... I'm gonna assume it's probably not a good idea

Agreed, if we have a "bring people back" role we'd be better using it on a townie so that we have an extra vote and the scum would have to waste a night kill re-killing someone.
