Living Pokemon in 50 years..? No too short time... It would be possible in a few years more but nahh not in 50 years... although the technology is improving fast

They say that the 21st century will have as much advance as over 100 20th centuries. Think how much that will be.
I could see real Pokemon. That'd be so cool to have a real Chimchar!
 
There are three indications when you know Pokemon is dying are the following:
1:When no one knows what pokemon is. (may return)
2:When Nintendo dies. (may get picked up)
3:When Pokemon gets desperate to make something like 'Pokemon Sims' (No return)

Pokemon is one of those things that with enough care and resources it will never die.

yeah technolohy is going fast, really fast, look at the beginning of the 19th century, they just made it possible to fly very short distances in a crappy wooden airplane. 50 years later they already had flights with a lot of people in it, transporting all around the world ;)

Just helping you out there. The first flight (by a motor-driven airplane) was in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on December 17th, 1903, by the Wright Brothers (I'm sure you knew that). That's the 20th century (1900-1999). The more you know.

Also, I feel pokemon will only die if there are no fans. I know I'll still be a fan for as long as I live.

mistake xD I thought everybody was meaning 22th century has 100 times more advanced technology than the 21th, since we were talking about over 100 years :p It was just my lack of English, so yeah i meant 20th Century. And btw this happened too cuz there are many things with numbers we here in the Netherlands use different (or English speaking countries use different) look at the measurings and weights, and what about counting, since English speaking countries do 1 million, 1 billion, 1 trillion(?), and we use '1 miljoen', '1 miljard' and then '1 biljoen', '1 biljard' etc... :p
 
I think it might be able to make it since it's still going all these years, but even if it does die, I think it will just grow again later.
 
I would not be suprised if pokemon hits over 1,000,000. in 50 years. and they will have all the gems as game titles then have remakes when they make a new ds or something greater than the ds. The show will keep going with the games and more movies.

On a far more serious note, the creators might slow down with the new Pokemon.

If you do the math, there's an average of 123.25 new Pokemon every region, which corresponds to every new system.

Game systems generally last 5 years (though Microsoft's apparently trying to make that 15), meaning that in 50 years, we'll probably be on Gen 14. This corresponds to 1725 Pokemon. Stop exaggerating.

Pokemon will survive as long as there are children in the world who play video games, and Game Freak isn't broke.

Also, wasn't there an announcement about more action being proposed for a later generation? That could help it live.
 
I think it'll stay strong, since Pokemon
is big everywhere in the world.
Look at Mario, it has almost 30 years
and it's still strong!
 
I'd like it if they did more remakes and slowed down on new pokemon. 1000 is more than enough to last several generations of fans.
 
If Nintendo can keep making ideas for Pokemon, they're might not be no end in sight for Pokemon. We could have 2,000 Pokemon before they finally finish!
 
Here's one for the card game-400 HP cards, Wailord's evolved form.
Also Blissey evolving too with 500 HP, that'd be awesome if I'm still playing.
 
I actually feel like it's going to die out because what legendaries are they going to make when they've already got freaking Arceus? And no legendaries means no storyline in games, really. And if teh games die out, the rest obviously will. i'm just confused on that whole factor. I'm almost sure it'll be dead in 50 years, I think it will already be in 15. But besides, will any of us be playing pokemon when we're over 50 years old?
 
Hey I know I will be playing pokemon in 50 years, and anyhow there are lots of ideas on legendarys just have a look at the thread: Next Legendary. Pokemon wont die out as long as nintendo thinks about what they are doing. Fourteen years on and its going better than ever before.

Both Futurama and Family-Guy were brought back after being cancelled.. just sayin'...
Anyways, eventually Nintendo will scrap the whole: 'Insert legendarys name here contols Insert something important here and it's up to you to save the world' thing and (hopefully) think of something better. But yeah, I think that it will be dead in fifty years.
 
Its been about 3 years since digimon died if pokemon dies and digimon somehow rises, than pokemon will inevitably rise again.
 
I think once holographic technology comes out and is able to be used by the general populus my god.

imagine walking down the street and seeing a meoth run by. some kid scream Get back here! he presses a button on a pokeball and a wailord comes out, you have a heart attack because you grew up with the pixel verson always wondering what would happen if i dropped a wailord onto a city street. the kid catches the meowth and you die seeing pokemon.. in its final glory.
