What do you want from us?

I like bacon's idea, and this could just be a general 'spam' section for new users to just spam (?).

The TCG articles need to be checked before they are viewed by public, please. I see like 2-3 bad articles on the first page of the articles section right now.

EDIT: like 5 locked ones.

You won't have seen the post he was banned for obviously, because it got removed very shortly after he posted it. Besides, he didn't even have a point to prove in the first place, he was just there to be condescending without giving actual help.

A spam forum... actually sounds kinda ok to me, especially since in the game corner post count doesn't go up. I mean, the game corner is basically spam anyhow, so whatever, right?

I'll ask about it later and see if it can be agreed to put it up.

Most of the games really aren't that good there. Less than five now the Chain Game is gone. I almost say nuke it but I know people are only here on the Forums for the Game Corner, so that wouldn't work too well.

dmaster out.

It doesn't matter if it's organized. Nearly every post in the Game Corner doesn't add much to any discussion...all it is posting a rating or whatever. At its root, the Game Corner is a spammy forum. If it wasn't, why else would you get no additional post count for posting there?

Anyway, I brought up the idea of a "casual" forum a while back, and I'm glad to see it is finally getting looked at. IMO, we should split the Gathering of the Misc. forum - one for serious discussion (political debate, philosophical questions/discussion, etc.) and one for joke or casual discussion. (basically a more expansive and revamped Chillax Zone in forum form...albeit hopefully it would more resemble its older days) As you can imagine, the spam rule would at least be relaxed in that forum. And as mentioned, this forum also would not add to post count.

If the Game Corner somehow made its way in, I can't see why we can't have a "joke" forum as well. Their root purposes are pretty much the same. Names I suggest for the split forums are "Soap Box" (borrowed from Bulbapedia, and it fits seeing as we have debates) and "Chillax Avenue". (We could even keep Zone if we really wanted to, and delete/lock the current Chillax Zone.) I know somebody can come up with something more creative, though.

EDIT: Oh, and the Game Corner can also be abolished and combined into the new "Chillax Avenue".

A casual forum is a good idea, but if it's a spam forum, I don't think it'll be good. It depends on what the purpose of the forum is. If the description is something like, "spam here", that's all there's going to be: spam. I know that what bacon is suggesting is creating a forum where we post funny and random threads for the fun of it, but... some people here have a weird sense of humour and might be encouraged by the creation of this sub-forum to spam as they think we can tolerate it.

I don't know really lol. If it can be moderated efficiently, I don't see why not, but I'm afraid that it may send across the wrong message.

I really think there needs to be a more relaxed place to post. I just don't think Miscellaneous is relaxed enough for this. Game Corner used to be where I went, but ever since it was changed to no spammy games, it hasn't been as fun or relaxing in there, at least for me. The chat seems to be the only place where I might be able to relax. Its the only main area I don't act all serious.

The problem with trying to do the Shoddy Ranks is first enough people have to be using the find tab. Its very rare I get a battle on it when I do go on. Its much faster just to issue a challenge. I'd prefer a Pokemon Online server more than a Shoddy one because challenge matches are rated. You can also disallow spectators which is perfect for tournaments or just being able to tutor a person after the match. It also supports doubles format which is something Shoddy currently doesn't. This makes it a great way to pratice for the VGC without having to wifi.

A lot of us have been trying to use the ladder more over the past couple days. Maybe you could come on and check it out. We've been getting around 14+ people on during the peak hours.

I must agree, I do like the PO format and everything better. However, there are a lot of "ifs" for me. How easy is it to create a server? How easy is it to change the tiers etc.? Can we make a leader-board for it (when I went on the beta server I saw they had a ranking thing programmed into it, so not sure if we could use that)? Do we have anyone capable of doing these things?

I can ask the person who made the server I regularly play on how hard it was. Tier changes were simple though. I can try and make a server, but it won't be until tomrrow since I have had 5 hours of sleep in the last 49.5 hours.

My guess is that while the spam rule will be relaxed, no overly spammy or stupid posts would be allowed. If someone does that, we ban them.

Outside of that, I would think anything is free-game as long as it follows in line with other rules. (e.g no PG-13 content, advertising, etc.) And btw, nice to see you back. :]

Isn't that just the chillax zone correct me if I am wrong I mean I have never been on there but I do think that is kind of what you are suggesting.

I have two ideas: first a Redshark legue, second can you reopen the the Gyms and third more gyms please!

The gyms still have to be revised into a more efficient system. Either way, there are other events that would be before the re-opening of it.

Lol I am not making a suggestion and I know very well that the Chillax Zone exists (I'm the top 5th poster in that horrendous thread). I was just making a comment on someone else's suggestion. :)

Maybe I haven't investigated enough (I only saw a sports group), but I would like a thread or section dedicated just to sports. Maybe threads could be made in Entertainment Talk or Gathering of Miscellanea? Personally, I want somewhere that is specifically dedicated to the NBA or Tennis. And a thread in one of the above mentioned sections would be great. I just wasn't sure if it would be appropriate to create it.

Pretty sure sports can be counted as entertainment (or Misc.), so by all means go ahead and make threads for your sporting interests there. I'm pretty sure if there's enough interest in such things people will post in there with you - that would be a good gauge if nothing else for the level of interest as a whole for such topics (as in is it worth making a forum specifically for them?)
