Take away the games, and the PS3 is better 10 times over.

No thanks, I'll keep my games. For those of us who use their video game consoles for gaming, comparing consoles based on hardware specs alone is all-in-all a bad idea any way you look at it. Just take a look at the Virtual Boy versus the original Game Boy. Who cares if it has great hardware if it isnt backed up with quality software, which relies on software developers coding for the system. Last I checked, Sony consoles were the most difficult to program for and thus, more often than naught, when there's a cross-platform release on the 360 and PS3, the 360 version is superior. As a gamer, I find it silly to pay more money for a console that will play inferior versions of the games that I enjoy playing. What it boils down to is, do you prefer the 360 exclusive games or the PS3 exclusive games, factor that in account with how much time you think you will be playing those games compared to the cross-platform release games, what games are you looking forward to, how important are Blu Ray movies to you, which controller do you prefer, and perhaps even do you have more friends playing on Live or PSN.

ok, if youre going to jump into a debate, do NOT EVER, use the "if it spans across, then this is the choice" comment.

it makes you look ridiculous. it became fairly obv at that point you would be more concerned about your fanboy attitude then the truth.

if a game is multiplatformed, then the ps3 version will ALWAYS be superior because all files can be uncompressed. this means that the sound, video, gameplay quality will all be that much better than it is on the 360 version.

proof of this is in the upcoming final fantasy game. it was remarkable....but then came word it was being released on the 360 as well, and its dvd limitation hindered the ps3 version making it so that the audio/texture files would look crappy. :(

Not true. For example, the PS3 versions of Bayonetta and The Orange Box suffer from framerate issues and longer loading times compared to their Xbox 360 counterparts. The PS3 could and should be able to play these games without a hitch, at the end of the day the fact remains that many developers have a difficult time coding for the PS3 hardware. Just because the system is more powerful doesnt automatically mean that the game will run better on it.

I like Wii more, because I collect Mario games, and Zelda games, which I love to play.

the longer loading times is an issue with that of PC games as well. meaning, its because the files are uncompressed. xD

xbox 360 is streamlined because everything is overlycompressed like crazy.

framerate has to do developers not porting properly.

Brawl is most fun on the GC controller. Most of the elite use them, and they offer the classic gamer experience. That's the wii's problem. They got so into branching out, they aren't doing enough to satisfy the old-school gamers.

But most gamers already have the classics. We want new games that give the same experience as the older games.

The whole console "War" going on is stupid. Like others have said, it's all about what you will get the most entertainment out of, not about what's the so-called "best". Personally, I prefer the Wii to the PS3 and 360, because most of the Wii's advantages overshadow its disadvantages, and it's nice to see something new.

However, PS3 is undeniably the most capable of the three, having a built-in Bluray, superb navigation and internet, and also the (arguably) best graphics.

360 has amazing online play that's, in my opinion, the best money can buy. While some of its exclusives are unbearable (Bomberman: Act Zero comes to mind), most of its exclusives are incredibly fun to play, not to mention addicting. My big complaint with the 360 is that its chance of breaking is around 70%, and it's almost as loud as a vacuum cleaner.

So... Yeah. The bottom line is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and... Wow, I wrote alot :/
