Dowsing Machine's only utility in this deck would be being the 5th N/Juniper or the 3rd Virbank. CPU Search is pure gold

Do you guys like techs like Benchtini and Terrakion? I like them both, but can't find the space for more than one of them

I've tried V-Create Victini and I honestly came away torn. It can definitely help against Klinklang (and surprisingly some other matches too since you only need two Energy to do 100 at only the cost of the full Bench which isn't that bad if you go hard in the paint early for it), but the consistency notably dropped and the cost of playing it for a slightly better matchup didn't end up swaying me enough to keep it in for the States I went to.

I dislike Terrakion for the same reason except he honestly doesn't really help that much either unless in the mirror match you can catch the opponent after a turn they KO from Night Spear and lay it all down at once. Because laying it down with a Energy is just asking for them to Catcher+Laser+Claw kill it or make sure they kill something with the Laser only. Laying the surprise Retaliate was hard last format and I can only imagine it's even harder now.

dmaster hit it perfectly on Victini. It's a cool tech but not worth the consistency drop unless Klinklang is really popular in your area (in which you shouldn't be playing this anyway.

I don't like Terrakion in this, but having played against it at States (in Big Basics, this is a slightly separate topic), it's not as useless as it is on paper. Sure, I catcher KO'd it with Laser + Claw, but it forced me to waste a turn and I had to fear the Scramble Switch coming out of nowhere and taking a free two prizes during the entire match, not to mention if I hadn't pulled off the whole combo at that moment, a Retaliate would have been inevitable anyway. It enforces the 7th prize rule against Darkrai extremely well and I wouldn't write it off as a threat due to the ability to OHKO it.

I tried Victini, but I found that I rarely have a full bench to utilize it. An I tried Terrakion too, but IMO Mewtwo and Bouffalant just flow so much better than Terrakion in this deck. And suprisingly Terrakion EX isn't terrible in this deck either. It allows you to utilize Land Crush on the non-ex Terrakion and abuse Max Potion, which is really annoying, and you don't need to scramble for a Dark Patch as much as Darkrai usually does.

I thought about using one or two Bouffalants, but I dislike running anything other than dark energies :/

That deck is much more suited to play something like Terrakion. That deck can force the 7 Prize game better than this one can because you'll probably be using Junk Hunt early at some point and once you lay another non-EX down, then that doesn't really work that great. But yeah, honestly completely different deck.

Got 3-2 on the Regionals, yesterday. Beated Landorus/Mewtwo/Lugia, 1 mirror and 1 Blastoise/Keldeo/BKEX and lost 2 mirrors

EDIT: Got 7th Place

5-2 in Swiss yesterday with this deck at Mississippi States. Started 1-2 against Blastoise, garbo-land, and victini attackers. Then won 4 straight against mirror, Garbo-land, a 6 corners variant, and another Blastoise.
9th seed in top cut. got knocked out in top 16 and got 10th overall.

Why Scramble Switch? We've already discussed that the recycling of Computer Search makes this deck phenomenal before, so why did you choose that Spec?

I assume for some cool plays with Keldeo, although if you're going to do that, I like a Mewtwo in there as well. Scramble Switching into a surprise Mewtwo can be beneficial to catch the opponent off guard if you manage to pull it off.

People play Max Potion in this deck? Man, I've got some catching up to do...

I never thought it was good, but I guess that was because I've always played this deck with either CS, DM, or GP Ace-Spec.

Yeah, that too. With two, I like the Scramble Switch idea but I've personally never gone above one and never really had a reason to try to cut something else for another one.

I feel consistency is more important than pulling off one cool trick play, however. I guess everyone has their own play style. :|

When I ran this for states, I played Comp. Search. It helps consistency greatly, and makes it so that you have another method to discard cards. It's also Junk Huntable, which means you can Skyla for it, play it, and Junk Hunt so you can get a supporter such as Juniper. That and Dark Patch make an excellent combo. You can discard two dark energies, search for Dark Patch, Junk Hunt, and Dark Patch and Computer Search for a supporter. That's a really optimistic view, but really it's just an example.

The choice for me, if I were to play it, for the Ace-Spec would be between Computer Search and Dowsing MCHN. I would probably choose Comp. Search, though, for its searching ability.

But I guess Dowsing MCHN can get Supporters/Stadiums back...
