  • And after 2000 years of trying to hold back the sea, the Netherlands are finally high and dry. No longer living with the constant threat of a cataclysmic flood, they're free to turn their energies toward outward expansion. They immediately spread out and claim the newly-exposed land.
Long live the Rayne Empire \o/
    CloudlessRayne, Rayne!! :D

I have been quite well. I forget if I told you this or not, but my Bible study group went out to play miniature golf on Friday night (there was 11 of us) and I won by 2 points.

On Saturday, I was at league as usual, taking over the scorekeeping since the others were at Nationals. I managed to set up a game of Mario Party DS (Download Play is awesome) and we had a fun time!

Sunday I tried to do the same, but there was a communication error. ;-; There was a Pokemon tourney at the card shop I go to every Sunday, as usual, and I ended up winning! (mostly because my 2 competitors were away at Nationals but that's besides the point)

    And how are you, sis?
CloudlessRayne, now you've raised the expectations - you now HAVE to have new stories after tomorrow.
CloudlessRayne, oh please, why would you be worried? You know I wouldn't hurt you; I love you too much.
...wait if you have time to be on the forums, why am I not talking to you on chat?
CloudlessRayne, yeah, you told me about that story! but I don't think I picked up where the reference was. It was probably on one of the tapestries and I didn't notice.

And oh, I'm definitely going to finish, so then I can give you a piece of my mind about it. ...In love, of course.
CloudlessRayne, I think I must have missed the Two Brothers references. All the other ones I knew about. I'm just excited you knew about Baba Yaga!

As far as your draft not having a 'hook', I'm about a third of the way through and so far I disagree. The two plots are moving along together, and what is shown to happen in the past actually correlates with whatever's going on in the present at that time. That, to me, is interesting, and not boring at all.

Sadly I didn't finish the whole thing over the weekend, but a third of the way through isn't bad. I can probably finish the rest sometime this week.
CloudlessRayne, it's okay. Don't worry about it; the time rushed by so fast yesterday that it wasn't until 3pm I noticed you didn't show up :p
    CloudlessRayne, heheh, that's so sweet.
You're going to visit the States in October, you say? This means I need to commence some plotti-er, preparation for when you show up.
After 9 your time? Sounds like a plan!
CloudlessRayne, you're welcome, sis! I had a fun time writing it too! I kept putting it on my to-do list but never actually got around to writing it til now.
CloudlessRayne, I know, and I'll have plenty of time to waste on the weekend! because summer classes and junk.

    Wait, you're online now? Why don't you come on chat; I miss you ;-;
CloudlessRayne, will do! I'll have to set some time aside this weekend or something for that purpose. Maybe it'll be like when I read The Dream Prison all in a single Saturday.

...uh-oh, Reyna's bugging me. Guess I'd better do it sooner than later!
