Wow...I'm still absorbing it.

1.)I absolutely love the fossils, I can't wait to see their evos.
2.) I'm not a huge fan of the cats, they don't look like Pokemon to me. I think they look like they're from some other anime or something.
3.) I like the dog in normal form, not as much when colored.
4.) The megas are just fine. Mewtwo X is interested and Garchomp is pretty cool.
5.) Those starter evos...I hate Chespin's, REALLY disappointed in Fennekin's, but I think Froakie's is really cool.

I don't understand why Fennekin had to become bipedal. Literally ALL other fire starters end up bipedal. Charizard, Typhlosion, Blaziken, Infernape, Emboar...every single one of them is bipedal. I'm insanely disappointed by this. In games that are making huge changes, you would have thought they could have made a quadrupedal fire starter.

I... I'm sorry Chespin. You didn't deserve this.

Froakie has a really cool evolution, and even Fennekin's is alright. But poor Chespin... how can he look so happy?

I know its bad now but you know its one of those middle evos...I'm sure its final form will be awesome imagine losing fat and gaining bulk and just look at its design and patterns I call it its gonna be awesome.

Guess that's our only hope at this point.
:p

On another note:
What happened to Garchomp's head?
Mewtwo is alright. Gallade rip-off
Really liking the poodle thing though. Seems like this generation's normal-type gimmick pokemon.
The fossils look cool. Definately getting the Brachio on my in-game team. I also hope the T-Rex is good competitively (as there is no hope for the ice one).
Meowstick has a really cool gimmick to it. Can't wait to get both genders. :)

Mega Garchomp is frightening, but his form isn't terrible. Both Mewtwo's Mega Evolutions suck. Dat feet (on the X).

Regarding the new Pokémon, I'm disappointed. Fennekin was my favorite of the three, but this evolution...ouch. They better do something sick with the final evolution. Chespin's resembles Pignite. But Froakie? His is pretty darn cool. I like him a lot, and he's my least favorite starter of the three.

But dat blue Fossil. It's so cute. ^^ I love that one.

At the bottom right of the page where it shows the five team flare scientist, it shows a girl with wings. Maybe she's the fairy type gym leader?

Maybe its that actress who was previously mentioned to help with hair/clothes customization?

OR MAYBE
The actress is the Fairy gym leader

edit: Chespin turns from a semi-cute hedgehog thing to an ugly cushion

What? didn't you get it? pin-cushion.

fairy resists and it's supereffective against dark? inmune to dragon? resists bug? YAAAAY! we did it, gardevoir! we conquered those mean dark types!

NOOOO! fennekin stands up! whyyyy? oh well... at least she has a cute dress... but still has a weird body, is gamefreak full of furries or something? why that obsession with making quadrupeds stand up? their cats and dogs must hate them.

And meowstick! finally a cat pokemon that isn't hedious (meowth), evil (persian, purrloin, liepard),, skitty, or delcatty (I can't say anything bad about them, but I never liked them).

A T-rex! about time, gamefreak. and a brachiosaurus/diplodocus/apatosaurus sauropod! and an adorable one at that! ice type! with a gem! I know its typing is horrible and you will probably butcher it upon evolution, but I'll get it anyway. It's so cute!

I don't care much for Chespin or Fennekin's 1st Stage forms, but then... I almost never like any 1st stage forms, with Ivysaur being the exception that proves the rule. Froakie's first stage is actually pretty damn cool looking; still hoping for ninja frog. Love all the other reveals (with the exception of X Mega Mewtwo which just kind of makes me go o_o), especially the fossils. <3 those dinos, but wish the ice dino wasn't such a glass cannon.

Typhlosion is a quadruped..

I still don't see the problem. It's the last thing I would care about; their locomotion.

I've just thought of the worst thing ever

The T rex fossil is most likely gonna be offensive

The brachio is most likey gonna be defensive
A defensive Ice/Rock
Welcome to NU, brachio mon

Team Flare are looking to create a beautiful world.
Calling it now, they're either gonna use Xerneas (in X) to create their idea of a beautiful world, or Yveltal (in Y) to destroy places that they deem unsuitable for a beautiful world.
You heard it here first!

I wouldn't be surprised if that was right! Good thinking! :)

About the psychic cat pokemon.
I came across the information on another website that says the male is more of a supporter while the female is more aggressive.
But on Pokebeach, it says the opposite. Do you know which one is true?

You always see Typhlosion on its hind legs. It's rarely on all fours, it walks around on two legs. I just wanted Fennekin to appear more like a real animal as opposed to humanoid.

Opinions time!

New Mega Mewtwo: Going to take me a while to warm up to this. I definitely like the other forms better as of right now. This one's legs look... weird. Mewtwo being physically-oriented in general is just weird to me.
Mega Garchomp: Ohhhhohoho now I like this. The gross craggy face and red blades are sweet.
Chespin evo: I must have missed the bandwagon for hating this thing, because I love it. Like, a lot. I was really hoping for a bulky evolution and this one is adorable. Thank god they didn't do the whole hooded assassin fan evolution route.
Fennekin evo: ....Ehhh. Was hoping it wouldn't be bipedal. Not seeing much in the design that makes it Psychic either. I don't mind it too much because Fennekin was my least favorite of the starters to begin with, so I wasn't going to be using it.
Froakie evo: Kinda reminds me of a tree frog? It's all right. Really doesn't leave any kind of strong impression on me.
Poodle thing: Awesome. Seriously. I'm gonna style the hell out of this thing. Its ability seems interesting too; I wonder if it's for ALL attacks? That might make it a great defensive wall.
Meowstick: -Shrug- to both genders. Bipedal mammalian Pokemon typically don't do much for me and these are no exception.
T-Rex: HELL. YES. I was actually just thinking last night of how awesome it would be to get a legit t-rex Pokemon this generation, and the one I woke up to is amazing. Definitely my pick for fossil Pokemon. I hope it gets a little more feathery when it evolves, though...
Creepy blue dino thing: Face is creepy. Don't like it.

Its kind of like Meowth that way. It can walk on four or two legs (though usually two unless it's running away).

Right, but obviously the way the Fennekin evo is built, it won't be able to walk on four legs. It's arms are too short in comparison to it's legs.

Yes, I agree. Fennekin's evo is fully bipedal.
I was just pointing out that Typhlosion wasn't. :p

Dat Froakie evo!

Anyways no discussion about Fairy being confirmed to have be a Basic Energy type? You can see it next to the Fairy symbol in tcg part of the scans. Wonder if Dragon will join it?

Oh dang, I just realized Fairy/Dark is the new Ghost/Fighting. Ghost/Fighting has perfect coverage except against a theoretical Normal/Ghost Pokémon. Fairy/Dark has perfect coverage against every single Pokémon imaginable unless a Fairy- or Dark-type immunity ability comes out this generation. Fairy covers the Dark resists of Dark and Fighting and because of this it can hit every possible type combination neutrally.

It walks on all four its legs; thus Typhlosion is a quadruped. It just stands on two legs, that's all.

Chespin... Ugh.

I was hoping for two things:

Either a cool, assassin type thing (My second choice) or a really adorable, appealing chipmunk...

But of course, they split it right down the middle, and spat out one of the ugliest pokemon I have ever seen...

Well, theodore (Mah Chespin), looks like you won't be evolving into your last evo...

Changed my mind. They went for the adorable, appealing chipmunk. IT IS MAGNICIFENT!

There's a Dragon symbol too but no basic energy so how does a Fairy symbol confirm Basic Fairy Energy? On the bright side we get pink cards! :D I will collect them all.

Look to the left of the fairy symbol. Its kinda half in the crease of the magazine but its still obviously a picture of a basic fairy energy card.
