(1) 'Freeze Bolt' and 'Cold Flare' Scans, Translations Coming Soon! [7/11]

Something tells me that Computer Search will be the standard Ace Spec card that most players will use. Kinda like how Luxury Ball was in the DP-era. Even if you run 4 Ultra Balls and have no room for it in your deck, you can always replace one of the Ultra Balls with Computer Search (unless you were already running a different Ace Spec card).

All-in-all, I like this set. It'll be interesting to see what players come up with, especially with Vileplume and the revival of Rain Dance Blastoise.

I did not call the deck slow. I just pointed out that a Stage 2 (no matter how you look at it) is slower to set up than a Stage 1.
The problem with that argument is that it doesn't universally hold. Generally a Stage 2 can be slower than a Stage 1, but you have to consider this: Garchomp.dek can search for Pokemon with Abilities.

Let's consider a scenario for Garchomp.dek. By the time T2 rolls around, you will probably have at least 2 Gible and a Swablu on your bench, possibly a 3rd Gible. Your hand most likely has a Skyla in it as well and a Level Ball also. You can use the Level Ball to evolve a Benched Gible into Gabite. Use Dragon Call to get another Gabite, then evolve your other Gible into a Gabite and repeat - make sure that you terminate the chain by searching for Garchomp. Skyla gets your Rare Candy, which you can then drop right away, and if you have the means to get an Altaria or refresh your hand (and you most likely do), you're already hitting heavy with little drawback...plus, you thinned out your deck quite a bit.

Hey, Garchomp.dek may consist of Stage 2s, but it is one of the fastest decks out there, on par with Darkrai.dek.

The decks I see coming out of this are
Blastoise/Keldeo EX
Blastoise variants (The above is plays differently to the other Blastoise decks(notable variant; Blastoise/Wailord/Fliptini)
Raticate/Amoongus/Terrakio (I think Terrakion would be good here)
Landorus EX/Terrakion EX/Terrakion (Well, this is just an update)
Dusknoir variants
Ditto/EXs
Registeel EX/Scizor(?) (This may create longer games while dealing damage, but probably a rogue)

Here's what I think Blastoise/Keldeo EX will look like:
3-1-3 Blastoise
1/2-1/2 Wailord (this will be a tech)
1 Victini (the flip one(tech with Wailord)
3 Keldeo EX
1 Kyurem
1 Kyurem EX
The max (what I think is): 17

4 Professor Juniper
2 Bianca
2 N
2 Hugh
Supporters: 10

4 Pokemon Catcher
3 Rare Candy
3 Ultra Ball
3 Energy Search
2 Random Receiver
2 Energy Retrieval
1 PC Communication
1 Super Rod
Trainers: 19

14 Water Energy
Energy: 14

Tyranitar Prime had 160 HP and it was far from broken.
Nowhere in that post I made did I state that Charizard was broken. All I was saying is that a card that is not special in any way, shape, or form (as in not an ex, EX, Prime, Lv.X, or Wailord) has broken the HP "cap" that was established in the BW era; 150. This Charizard, a simple holo, has 160 HP. Thus, it has broken the "cap".

Charizard, for some reason, has special license to do that.

What about Musharna? That deck seems pretty good, if you look at it. Although it would make the games soooooooo long. You'd also have Audino, in case you needed to retreat. Scolipede also seems really good, possibly with Ninetales and blend energy GRPD. It gets boosted damage with Virbank Gym.

SO PLAYING SWOOBAT/MUNNA/AUDINO/LUNATONE WITH BIKE AND ETHER SPAM.

Yes, Charizard did indeed set the first "cap" of sorts, so it should have every real right to break it at any time. Although it wasn't the only Pokemon to have 120 HP in the base set, you can bet your rear end it sure did a ton of damage for its energy investment. But there's SOMETHING about suddenly breaking this cap in the middle of an "era" that just seems off.

I like Exploud's attack name.
Roar of Destruction? Really? I thought Dialga was the only one who could do that. Although Roar Of Destruction actually seems pretty good, since Junk Arm is gone. Also, I'm really loving the Kyurem-EXs' full arts.

The one from the Dragon set.

{W} Water Cannon - 30x
Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage times the number of {W} Energy on this Pokemon.

Pretty good list. But you should include there bycicle. I have mine and it is:

Pokémon 17:
4-2-4 Blastoise
3 Keldeo EX
2-2 Jellicent

Trainers 31:
3 Rare Candies
4 Catcher
3 Tool Scrapper
3 Ultra Ball
1 Computer Search
2 SSU
3 Bicycle
1 Super rod
4 Juniper
4 N
3 Skyla

Energies 12:
12 W

For then we will have lots of Stage 2 decks.
Empoleon.
Garchomp/Altaria
Hydreigon/Darkrai
Blastoise varients
Dusknoir varients

I don't care what anyone tries to tell me. I will get that Charizard to work. 150 damage on an 160 HP Pokemon, even if Stage 2, is awesome. If Water gets too big though I may end up scrapping any ideas.

I think I may actually proxy cards again for the first time...

what about explouds potential for 200 damage?

With four flips, you'll generally hit for 100. But most likely 50-150. Then you can alter tht with Fliptini, if you only hit 0-50, but the attack is high costing, for the amount of luck involved, when there is Mewto hitting 40-alottadamage, and then we now have the factor of 140 can be 2HKOd or sometimes OHKOd.
