(1) Scans and Translations of 'LEGEND: HeartGold & SoulSilver Collection' [10/7]

Jumpluff is pretty cool.

Slowbro looks half decent for a stage 1. 90 for 3 with no drawbacks is good to me.

Starmie seems fun.

The regular Feraligatr seems like it could be the spreader of the set. And it has a broken Great form, so I could see it being played.

Mareep is a pretty cool starter. Swarm with Mareep T1, then get out one of the Ampharos and do 80.

I really like the regular Ampharos. 30 damage for 1 energy AND attaching 2 energy from your deck to a Pokemon? Can somebody say energy accel?

It's flippy, but Wobbuffet looks pretty fun.

As with Wobbuffet, Primeape looks fun. Very fun.

I went 0_o on Fearow. Machine Gun Drill? XD

Cleffa is officially awesome again.

Great Blissey, in my opinion, is just terrible. Now, in an SP deck with Alakazem 4 Lv.X, that wouldn't be much of a problem. But in any other deck...bleh.

Sentret is carameldansen~

Noctowl is pretty neat, being drawpower in the PRs and all. And it can deal decent damage if it needs to attack.

Hah, Parasect is a pretty good staller, IMO. Constantly put things to sleep and remove damage and all that stuff...combined with Tangrowth Lv.X and Landmin Lv.X, this thing could draw out games.

Delibird looks fun.

Pichu + Jumpluff = AWESOME.

Great Crobat...I don't even know what to say. We've seen 2 damage counters, we've seen 3 damage counters, but have we seen 4 damage counters in between turns? I think not. And while the Defending Pokemon is quickly slowly dying, you just snipe the bench. The Lord of the Bats never fails. Ever.

I really like Xatu. There aren't too many powerful attacks in this set that have a low energy cost, so Xatu can punish those that use a lot of energy. Awesome.

Igglybuff = Pure Awesome, PR or not. No donk for you.

Great Ursaring is sweet. Just a single damage counter and it does 60 more damage? Can you saw awesome?

Pokemon Communicator is just like Pokemon Trader. Bad starts won't be as painful now.

Cool artwork, in fact all of it's lovely. I mean Jynx isn't a pain to look at for once, when you accomplish that you know they did well.

Overall most of the pokemon are disappointing, but a few I like are, Ninetails, Starmie, Crobat Great, Donphan Great, Fearligatr Great, Urasaring Great (memory berry for 1 energy 80, blasphemy), Alph Lithograth, Ampharos (both), pokegear and Professor Oak's.

BTW did anyone notice Fearow's Machine gun drill. That's just funny.

And I love the "LOOK AT YOUR OPPONENT'S HAND."

I really love politoed, free retreat for water pokemon and big chorus is like a neo1 sneasel's beat up for water decks. Delibird, mantine, great feraligatr can make it bigger. And the new poliwag has call for family :D

Stantler and Pichu are nice starters, specially pichu for jumpluff decks

Persian is a kind of absol sw, but its a stage 1 :/

I love this set-
Donphan-the new rampardos and can help out machamp
Lugia Legend-fast and now maybe the best 200 a turn hitter
Ninetales-Now here's my favorite card because it helps Charizard(AoA) have a fire bench
and that fire energy isn't really discarded w/
Great Typhlosion-Yeah, I can't wait!

What caught the eyes of PokeChamp in this set:

That new Weedle is awesome, and it makes Speedrill broken.

Jumpluff is cool, at the very least you're doing 70 damage for one (and getting a full bench is easy, thanks to Pokemon Collector and all the starters in this set), which apparently is a lot in this new format.

Starmie is BDIF with Great Feraligatr. Broken, to say the least.

Mantine makes an excellent starter for Water decks (including the above), as does Delibird.

Great Ampharos is ridiculously broken, seeing as with new high Energy costs your opponent will be attaching Energy like mad. This + any spreader = great deck.

I like the new babies, actually. They do the same thing as the old babies, but in a new and creative way. Only sad thing is that you can't evolve them (so far as we know). My favorite is Cleffa, for nostalgia reasons. :3

Primeape is somewhat flippy, but it does a lot of damage for low Energy. A lot of potential there.

Donophan can donk, and it has a virtual 140+ HP thanks to it's Poke-Body. On a stage 1? Epic. They better keep Dialga G Lv.X in format, or this will be like G and G was last format.

Clefable scoops up any Pokemon you want. A 1-1 tech of this guy is going into any deck I build from now on.

Raichu does 100 for two Energy, and if you can get back those Energy every turn somehow, you're staring at 100 damage every turn! Prepare to see a lot of this card.

Great Ursaring does 120 for four, and 90 for three. That's amazing, even in this current format. Double Colorless is this guy's friend.

Miltank + Moo-Moo Milk (which is amazing, btw) makes an interesting engine, allowing you to remove tons of damage.

Pokemon Collector kind of slaps Roseanne's Research in the face. :p

I see Crobat Great with Crobat G a donker. I will play that and probably some kind of Urasing deck and Jumpluff. This set looks great. I cannot wait for it to come out.

I also dig the attacks that deal 80 and 90 without any nasty recoil. Something you just would not see back in the old Neo (whoa oxymoron!) days....

I don't. I see Unown G's play rising slightly for Crobat Great Matchups, it's a nice card but IMO a lot of the other Greats are better. Also the Weedle is just epic.

Great, translations are up! I really like Great Crobat, also the 'second' Bebe's Search looks nice. May Dialga G's Deafen get popular again..also the Lv.X could do well against those new PokéBodies. Also those babies are cute ^.^

Man this set is awesome and I cant wait to get my hands on the new great pokes and seriously some of these cards are Broken as in 150 hp meganium this is just wrong withour it being a lv.x or an ex and have no particular reward for killing it. In the few months where platinum sets are still legal thats 190 hp with no strings attached for great meganium.

I haven't read every comment yet, but has anyone else mentioned Unown with it's Return Poke-power? This is basically an unflippy SSU. :D

Hahaha, just noticed that Tauros's attack is called Red Bull. That's pretty cool.

Really loving this set though, I think it's a great change for the game and has some cards with serious potential in it (including Jumpluff and Clefable).

also o_O at the random Metapod that gives all your grass pokemon no weakness

Wow, now we have a reliable fire-type Pokemon with drawpower. That'll be good with Great Typhlosion and Charizard AoA. The artwork looks really cool on all the cards, and the baby Pokemon are flippen' epic.

BTW, how do they know what the Ruins of Alph cards say?...

Edit: Jumpluff is insanely epic as well... 120 for one energy? I like it.
