Yay, once again, Europe gets completely screwed over and Americans complain the most.

I'm just as screwed over as you are... :/ You DO realize that I would rather have worlds IN Europe than in stupid Hawaii again.

RE: (1) Worlds 2010 is in... [8/12]

If Worlds 2010 is confirmed to be in Hawaii, it would be the second straight year the major event is held on the west coast.

No offense, but if the World Championships are held in the United States, it should alternate each year between the Atlantic and Pacific coasts. Pacific coasters were lucky to have it three years straight in 2005, 2006, and 2007. The Atlantic coast will have a streak soon.

That rocks! I hope I can be there...next year =/

Horrible choice. I hope they lose money due to this. I'm really starting to think that they care NOTHING for the players. It's not fair that only people with loads of time and money ever can get a shot at worlds.
But isn't that the whole premise of the card game? Even if you're the best strategist on earth, you can't even win in cities with a deck of all Magikarps. The whole game is commercial and legal underage gambling, which requires vast fortunes to get anywhere. Do the decks that don't have Claydol ever win?

POA just wants a "poster location" so that they can encourage more players to fall in their scheme. "You can Win *cough*earn*cough* a free trip to Hawaii!"

Of course, I'm glad I fell in their scheme.

I really don't think that Worlds' locations have been fair. I find it funny that Japan is the country that started Pokemon, yet the Americans ALWAYS host worlds! Hence the name WORLDS I would think that Pokemon would alternate the WORLDS tournament to different regions of the world. Far East, EUR, AUS, etc.

But the problem is, America is the main TCG profit for Pokemon. Plus, Japan is just too small to host an event like Worlds.

Well, this works alot better for Australians than everyone else apparently. It's a lot closer to us than Hawaii apparrently. 9Like I'd know where in America it is =/)

Japan is a pretty big island... I'm guessing the reason they don't hold it there is that the majority of pokemon player speak English (I think)

Ya, I understand you're going to have to pay to have a good deck. That's not THAT bad. What kills me is the fact that only those who are able to travel a lot can get to worlds. :/

Ya... it's just sooooo fair that just because Washington state has an amazing TO that they get about twice as many CC's as I do. >_>

This game is so stupid biased on where you live.

RE: (1) Worlds 2010 is in... [8/12]

wow, this is going to be bad. I mean Summer.... Hawaii.... Thats stupid. there goes my savings :/

Oh yeah, pick the more expensive locations, separated from like everyone else by a HUGE amount of water, awesome ._.

I agree. I mean, the economy is the best it's ever been...[/sarcasm] I hope they lose money off of this too. Bad decision...

dmaster out.

Why can't worlds be ina simple, flat, and non-expensive place like Columbus Ohio? Then everyone would be happy. Best of luck to Jason Klawhatever to win his 3rd title.

ughh. whats the point of it being in hawaii.
I mean, i think hawaii is an awesome place to go, but...
wasnt there only like 80 people in grinders the last time it was in hawaii?
and itll be more expensive to get there >.>

Wait, if you get the invite to worlds, do you have to pay to go out there and stuff, or does Pokemon pay for you to go out there? I heard they do.

But, either way, I wouldn't mind going to hawaii next year. To bad I'm starting up masters next year. =/

Hopefully i can go to worlds next year. Now I just realized that it is during band which is serious so I may never get to enter :(.

They pay for everything =]

Ugh, my invite will be forfeited. The senior in 31st place in the grinder will get my invite.
