Looks like she is wearing a pink jacket... but she could actually just wear her normally clothes... :b

First of all, I only keep arguing because other individuals (like you) keep bringing up new points for me to argue. I'll stop talking about it as long as no one else tries to argue with me after this!

In response to your thing about new players being alienated: If they wanted to provide some familiar Pokemon, why would they choose LUVDISC of all Pokemon to promote in the pre-release material?! Why wouldn't they choose something popular and familiar to everyone? Luvdisc is all but forgotten.

As far as Electivire goes, it's not about Gary, it's about the fact that Electivire was featured in episodes of the anime before D/P. Therefore, they had not choice but to reveal it early. Notice how they didn't reveal Magmortor, Probopass, Megayanma, ect, until AFTER the games were released. And even they it wasn't official, it was through leaks.

Just because you forget about Luvdisc doesn't mean everyone does. I'm sure it has just a large of a fan base as Hypno or some thing. It is actually one of the memorable ones for me. I didn't use it or anything because its lame, but Ruby/Saphire are my favorite in the series, so I like and remember every Pokemon from that gen.

So is Kurumiru a mealworm?

I'm guessing it comes from kurukuru (to spin, wind up) and miiruwaamu (mealworm).

Mealworms spin their cocoons inside folded leaves too.

Actually, the general consensus I've seen online is Luvdisc is one of the most worthless and unpopular Pokemon. I'm just going by experience of what I've seen, not my own personal opinion! And Hypno dosen't have a large fanbase either btw.

I thought it was just gonna be based on a silk worm, but thats kinda what Caterpie and such were supposed to be isnt it?

It might end up being some sort of a leaf insect/leaf mimic thing.

ya I figured Hypno wasn't well liked either, so he would be a good comparison.

However Nosepass, Yanma, and Tangela all had quite small fanbases and look what happened to them.

Silence means a few things, resign or consent, none of which is my option after I've decided that your silly stubbornness is annoying.

Why? Why? Do you think evolving a 3-staged Pokemon maybe a better idea? Oh, I know, evolve the Overused Heracross to push it to Uber class. Answer is simple, this Luvdisc evo is the best design that they can show off and promote. I don't suppose they want to put a fugly evo of Lapras when they know that it may enrage fans more than attracting them. We all know that appearance comes first, then stats. They want us to play the game and realise that the evo may be fugly but they can be powerfuly (like a certain Ground/Ice evolution).

Moreover, they mostly focus on Gen II evo on Gen IV so shouldn't it be more logical that they do it on a Gen III Pokemon in Gen V era?

makes sense, since it is the "sewing pokemon"

Nice scans. The one with the blue fish though is very clear, so honestly, I think it's fake. Otherwise I like the swan! :D

GenIII still has a large amount of un-evolving pokemon which are very deserving of evolutions, Sableye, Mawile, Seviper/Zangoose for example.

How about you just put your argument FOR or AGAINST Mamanbou being a Luvdisc evolution into your signature (like Tarazuma did), and STOP arguing. It's getting petty at this stage. At least go and make a separate topic somewhere else if you're needy enough to want to continue arguing like two year olds.

There's more info coming, and I (or anyone else) don't wanna have to wade through loads of Mamambou posts to find peoples' opinions on relevant topics.

We havn't argued for a page or so anyway. We were just discussing it a few posts ago, there was no arguing XD.

I'm not going to put an argument for/against in my sig either. I don't like Luvdisc. I don't like Mamambo. I'm just trying to set things straight and open a few people's eyes.

*sigh* I NEVER said evolving a 3 stage Pokemon was a better idea first of all. I'm saying that they shouldn't be showing any new evo's or pre-evo's in the pre-release material PERIOD. Since you love to completely ignore what GF said about gen 5 only, let me repost it:

The reason for this design choice, says Masuda, is because they want to put kids and adults on the same starting line and give all players the feeling of "What is this Pokemon?", similar to what they might have experienced when playing the original of all Pokemon games, Pokemon Red & Blue.

Masuda and the development staff had players inside and outside of the company sample the game. Comments included:
"It's like playing something completely new, similar to when I played Red & Green"
"You don't even know the type of the Pokemon, so you're surprised at the skills"
"There are only Pokemon that you've never seen, so it's fresh and new"

Does any of that indicate that they would be promoting an evo of a past gen to give players a sense of familiarity?! HIS WHOLE INTENT IS TO PROVIDE PLAYERS WITH A NEW EXPERIENCE! THEY DON'T CARE IF SOME PLAYERS WANT OLD POKEMON APPARENTY!

And guess what, B/W is going to sell like crazy regardless of what Pokemon are in it. They don't need to "attract more fans with a pretty luvdisc evo" They are already attracting fans with stuff like Emonga and Shijiki and such. The new Pokemon alone are going to be enough to make this game a sucess.

Ok im a little calm now that we got SOMETHING but the snow part is really cool and the female character doesnt look like a striper anymore lol jk

....really? Are you guys really still arguing whether or not Manambou is a Luvdisc evolution? Hasnt it been confirmed that it is? O_O

Ontopic: Gahhhh! Didnt really get much new information. Why did we basically get a collection of Pokemon weve already seen? >_> Eh. Shouldnt have gotten my hopes up.

I know Basurao is a fish but i totally can't make out the shape yet.

To me it looks kinda bullet shaped. Like a bulletbill from the Mario Series XD.
The top half of it looks red, with the rest being a dark grey/black. It appears to have a sort of dog-like nose, similar to the fakefish shown on Pokejungle a while ago.

WPM basically confirmed it, yet some still deny it.

i think it looks a lot like the fish from the fake scan yesterday, shape-wise at least

I've had mealworms, and I've never seen them do that...?

Their cocoons already look A LOT like kakuna.

No, it has not been confirmed in the slightest, and there is not a shred of evidence.

Anyways, I'm done arguing, even if outragedranger wants to keep arguing. I tried to stop once and I'm seriously tired of it (physically and mentally at this point) So I'm not coming back to this thread even if he posts again.

Call it resign, consent, whatever you want outragedranger, I call it "I'm freakin tired"
