Because you weren't around back when it first happened.

Water Pokémon Master said:I'm sorry some of you have a hard time dealing with a literally HARMLESS joke on April FOOLS. I'd hate to see how you will deal with the real world when you get older. I mean, getting shook up over a Pokemon forum online where nothing bad even happened? I'd hate to see a real catastrophe happen to you on a day where you don't expect bad things to happen. I.e. The other 364 days of the year.
Seriously, get over it. Find something REAL to get mad about. Some of you are worse than 8 and 9 year olds I know.

It's hilarious! Come on now, don't be bad sports. You got Rickroll'd, and you know it!
You're suggesting we didn't know it would cause panic? That was the whole point of the joke. What's an April Fools joke without people freaking out? I've never heard of one where people don't. But feel free to PM me some suggestions!Naki Feralkin said:Dealing with it quite well, seeing as how I'm older than you. I honestly don't care what happened, more or less the unprofessional and poor taste your joke caused. You also don't seem to realize the kind of widespread panic and insanity it really could cause and the frustration it is no doubt taking upon your moderating staff who have to deal with the crazy people who are mad about it.
To each his own. Considering that Holy Star was playing evil and would undoubtedly be receiving flack from everyone, the only one this could possibly hurt is him. He is the only real victim if people were to take his actions seriously. No one else even came close to being victim otherwise. So there is no "bad taste." Unless you're referring to the way people acted in this situation. We expect everyone to follow the rules in chaotic situations. If people are embarrassed about the way they acted, consider it a learning experience.Naki Feralkin said:Bad taste in jokes.
People need to learn how to have fun. I seriously cannot drive that into the ground any further. God forbid someone pull an April Fool joke on April Fools Day.Naki Feralkin said:Seriously, you cannot blame people for getting mad about it, seeing as how some of your members really are dedicated to this site and were probably going absolutely nuts when they saw this "joke" go off, considering that some of your members pretty much live their lives (unfortunately) at this site.
Should we put on old British wigs and be serious about everything? Pu-lease. Forums by nature aren't "professional." They're for HUMAN discussion, culture, and fun. Stop throwing these cliched generalities at me and applying other mediums to a fun place.Naki Feralkin said:In addition, it once again makes you look unprofessional.
Oh, okay. So pulling jokes on April Fools Day is childish. Just like giving presents on Christmas must be childish. Or handing out candy on Halloween childish. Or collecting Easter eggs on Easter childish. I fear the day where people aren't allowed to show any "childish" qualities. Let's all just be hard-core adults who are serious about everything. Since all adults are like that and you must be too.Naki Feralkin said:Do you want your site to be continuously referred to as "The Pokemon site that really shows its childish colors"? Or do you want some legitimate credibility for once? Its no wonder so many people lose respect for this site.

This guy has the right idea. Lighten up guys.
WPM does make a valid point. But that does not excuse the way some have responded to the negative feedback on the prank.Water Pokémon Master said:I'm sorry some of you have a hard time dealing with a literally HARMLESS joke on April FOOLS.
