Ask a Play! Pokémon Question

You get 1 Play Point for each season of league you go to that gets reported. If you still feel the amount is wrong, you can ask about it on the support portal of pokemon.com.

I went to a single league session, and somehow have eleven points- six from that league and five from another run by the same guy i've never been to.

I'll probably ask about it on the portal.

Sounds like your league leader is just reporting whoever has an account to get more supplies.

So according to my My Play! Pokemon site, we are in the 2013 season. I've gone to two sanctioned tournaments (one last weekend and the other three weekends ago) but so far I have no season play points. Will these points be awarded later or are they just not going to count?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Has the new season started yet? because I'm going to pre release next weekend and I don't know if I'm supposed to be a Senior or a Master xP

It has started (as of July 9th), but the age rotation doesn't happen until September 1st IIRC. You should still be a Senior.

that's what I thought too, however when I went to a PR yesterday they placed me in the masters division (I was a Senior before then). Now I'm all confused... :/ (I still made the top tables though despite the small setback :p )

Do you know if the TO reported them? They won't show up until the TO reports them fully, which could take a couple weeks. Then again, this might not be the problem whatsoever.

Yeah, this happened at my Prerelease for a couple people as well. Strange, but I suppose since the new season has started, the age up doesn't occur on September 1st, only the rotation of cards does, I guess.

dmaster out.

Yeah, he had- as my husband who went to the same tournaments had them listed on his. :|
Actually, after contacting support (a couple times), it got fixed, thank you so much for replying!

I don't think that is the case. Seniors who qualified are still Seniors for Worlds.

that's probably it, but everywhere else Seniors are moving up...

What's the best way of studying for the professor test? My league completely died because my professor didn't want to travel all the way to the venue anymore, so I've been trying to take the test myself and I always end up missing a couple questions and fall short of reviving the Pokemon community in my area.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Can I get a new player id?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

You are suppose to use the one you currently have.

From the link Arceus mentioned, specifically you want to look at Tournament Rules, Tournament Formats, Operation Procedures, and Penalty Guidelines. There's also a Professor Program mission statement that you'll want to look at, found here - you should also know the Core Values.

In addition, you'll want to be hip on your rulings, so I also recommend viewing the Compendium. This mostly covers the rulings on how cards interact, from the simple to the complicated. Compendium LV.X is what you want to look at the most, since it's a bit more complete. Compendium BW does have a few things, but most of what's in there is already in Compendium LV.X.

The test is about 45 minutes long and there's 40 questions, which gives you an average of just over a minute per question. Try to pace yourself. Answer all the questions as you go through, and if you have time, when you're done, go over your answers again to double-check.
A passing score is 32 questions correct or more (80%). If you don't get 32, you can take the exam again after 2 weeks (or is it 1 month? it's one of them). Most people are comfortable on the rulings section, but when they get to the judging bits, that's where they tend to flub up the most, so don't skimp on studying that.

It's not a really hard test, but it is reasonably challenging. Best of luck!

How do I sign up for "Play! Pokemon" rewards? I've definitely read somewhere on the official Pokemon website that you don't just get rewards automatically for performing well in tournaments, but there's some "consent" method that you have to do to get signed up for the rewards!

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Log into your account and edit your settings. One of them asks if you wish to opt in to rewards.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Do the winners of a Prerelease get any Championship or Play Points?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

All Participants get Play Points, but Championship Points are never awarded for Prereleases.
