RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Could you give an example?

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Does anyone know where I could find a complete to near complete teir list for all pokemon?

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

The Smogon forums always have one, as they're the ones behind them. They only cover single battles though. You'll have to look to Japanese websites for their doubles, triples, and rotations tier lists.

Wait so where could I find one for doubles?

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Hey I was wondering is there any way to get rid of fog so you can use sweet scent?

Well that's not a competitive question.
Next time ask that in either the BW Questions Thread or the Older Generation Question Thread.

Anyways, I think Defog is going to be your only option to get rid of fog.
Well the question thread hasn't had a post in a month and I didn't want to get in trouble, but I mean the fog in the 5th gen games like in Giant Chasm, I have already tried defog but that doesn't work.

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

There is no way to get rid of that fog. (I've tried Defog myself.)
It doesn't really have an effect in battle so there's nothing to worry about. It's just scenery appeal.

If you are on topic with revival, you won't get in trouble. You could also ask a moderator if it is ok to do so.

But it blocks sweet scent, and that is really annoying when you are trying to find dittos.

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Use a level 65 Pokemon with Max Repel. You'll stop seeing Clefairy and Piloswine. This will turn Ditto into the most common Pokemon you'll find.

Made this and didn't wanna just lose it to a chat room log.

I think it's fitting.

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Ditto aren't that rare in the Giant Chasm, really. Heck, using Repel like PMJ suggested will be one of the greatest methods you can use, just so long as you have a level 65 at the front of the party.
But if you don't, walking around doesn't hurt either.

@PMJ: The fog isn't as deep as it looks, now is it?

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Fighting in fog is almost as annoying as fighting in shadow sky.

Well that is all fine and dandy, but I was really hoping to RNG some flawless dittos for breeding purposes. :'(

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Sounds like Trollfreak strikes again.

Doesn't RNG manipulate the wild pokemon that you find? So you can just set it so you only need to advance your frame once, instead of the two skips you need sweet scent for.

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Ok so I've been messing around on PO with a 4drag 2mag team with Latios, Salamence, DNite, Gyarados, Magnezone, and Magneton. It's not really all that bad, but I'm just having trouble running it (getting locked into Outrage at the wrong times, letting people boost in my face, etc.). Anyone have any suggestions on how to play the 4drag 2mag strategy?

RE: The Competitive Battling Questions Thread

Replace Gyarados asap. The point of 4drag2mag is to remove steels so you can launch off your now unresisted Dragon-type moves, and Gyarados just doesn't benefit from that. Mamoswine actually has great synergy with a 4drag2mag team since it just loves the idea of no steels like Scizor and Skarm to troll him, while also poking holes in the team for a dragon sweep. Salamence is rather redundant considering Dnite does his job better with Multiscale, so try someone like CB Haxorus in its place.

I have no idea of what your skill level is, but you can always drop Magneton if you feel like you can keep Magnezone healthy throughout the game. Easier said than done, but playing more cautiously will help.
