Oi, Mudkip. Listen to us, and we'll be out of this cave in no time. Listen to you, we'll be taking many turns longer and have half of our team sitting around doing nothing. Please wander over to the tile and stay on it so we can progress as a team.

You don't even have hands! What kind of ninja are you? :p
We need all of the water borne pokemon to clear out this rubble with me leading to the next floor below, and I will only think of stepping on that tile until the stair case is cleared and the room below it is cleared as well.
The rubble is too heavy to lift; Grovyle already confirmed this. Chances are if we get the weight limit for the tile all the rubble will disappear by itself.

We progress and sunshine and rainbows when we find out what's beneath that stair well! Until then even ms "I can't create air bubbles because reasons" can't make me move, muwahahahaha. Now seriously, have someone help me clear these rocks and stuff.

@thegrovylekid If all of the water type pokemon tried their hardest to remove the rubble from the staircase would they be able to?
And if not would taking in a few land based pokemon under water be able to clear the rocks etc?

Anyone wants to help out dragging then, I think I am not strong enough to do that myself!

Good point, I'll go over and help out! <3

Probably not, but everyone standing on this tile sure will help! :p

I'm already under the water trying to clear the debris. Should I try to come back to the top, or stay down to try clearing it again?

I will work with you to clear the debris, mr metal hands, hey, maybe we could use honedge as a tool to help move the rocks aside? Or if he's not willing to then maybe just his sheath.

We won't know what lies beyond the staircase until you stand on the tile!
That tile probably leads to the obviously hidden doorway behind it, which I am NOT going to go through, I am going to clear the rubble, so help me, Arceus I WILL DO IT BEFORE I STAND ON THAT TILE!

If you don't stand on the tile willingly I'll whack you with a Dragon Rush and put your fainted body on the tile <3

Seriously, we need to continue as a party and Grovyle has confirmed that we're not strong enough to move the rocks...

That was when it was ONE rock and we were NOT underwater, there's a difference. Also Water pokemon get a boost underwater, deal with it.

Water Pokemon may be able to swim faster underwater, but the rocks are also far more difficult to move under water thanks to water resistance, and the latter bears much more of a relevant effect! ;)

Couldn't I just use the bubbles?
Would the bubbles be able to carry your weight?

Umm wouldn't dat just fill up the next floor with water, once again preventing all but 3 of us from going down there.

Even if a [W] Pokemon's power got doubled, it'll still be less than our combined power before...

I have to assume for balance reasons that they will, since nobody can carry me and then I'd be stuck below the water for the rest of the game.
I'll try to come back to the top, the rest should do the same.
