RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Chapter 18

Chapter 18: Porygon vs. Kecleon, Round 1, FIGHT!

<Drohn> Well, we made it clear of the "resistance" armies.
<Porygon> For now. They are at our back and could turn on us at any moment for an easy victory.
<Drohn> I swear, this whole continent is full of the least honourable soldiers I've ever met.
<Athena> Well, we really don't want to get trapped with them behind us and Kecleon in front of us. Hmmm... how about we hide out in that giant volcano?
<Porygon> The Demon's Ingle? But everyone avoids that so they don't awaken the angry fire god.
<Athena> That just makes it even more perfect! It'll scare the troops and limit how many follow us.
<Drohn> Well, it's better than any strategy I got.

We made our way over to the volcano as fast as possible, Kecleon's army close on our heels. None of the other resistance members followed us, but Kecleon and a small section of his army continued right on into the volcano with us. The footing was treacherous and there was lava all around us, the perfect place for a fight.

<PMJ> Hey, isn't that that purple-haired NPC villain guy who appeared in the last chapter?
<Athena> Haunted Water, yeah. Is he threatening Kecleon, too?
<Cinesra> Certainly good be. He seems to be threatening everybody else.
<Porygon> My brother has been with DNA for some time. There's no need for threats. If Kecleon didn't want to be a part of this he could have joined with the resistance ages ago. I would kill him myself if I could., but I'm not actually fighting in your army, so I guess I can't. Let's go already!

I arranged our troops on the rock outcroppings carefully. The lava limited our movements, but working in pairs seems to be the best for everyone. I happened to spy some chests (who keeps treasure in a volcano?) so TT and Palutena had their own special mission while the rest of us rushed to meet Kecleon and his forces head on, IE and myself heading the vanguard. We made our way through the paths and kept out of the way of the lava. When all of the other soldiers were dead, Drohn and I confronted Kecleon.

<Drohn> Hey, you're Kecleon right?
<Kecleon> And what of it?
<Drohn> Look, be an honourable dude and give up this sh*t and come fight with us, won't you?
<Kecleon> ...
<Drohn> Seriously, why are you fighting with this stupid DNA anyway. Are you scared of him or something?
<Kecleon> Aye, fear plays it's part, that I cannot deny.
<Drohn> So, you really are just chicken? BAWK BAWK BAWK.
<Kecleon> Dude, I totes did not say that. Chill out. But I don't feel like spilling out my heart to you. I don't even know who you are. So are we going to fight or what?
<Drohn> Alright, sure.

And then Drohn got a critical hit and killed Kecleon in one hit and it was the least climatic boss battle ever. But he wasn't fully dead because that would deprive us of a final, touching scene between brother and sister.

<Porygon> Well, damn. I was at least hoping we could figure out why he joined DNA.
<Haunted Water> Oh, hayguys, wassap?
<Porygon> Dude, gtfo.
<Haunted Water> Oh, don't mind me, I'm just here to tell you why your brother joined with us.
<Porygon> Well, feel free to tell us so we can kill you.
<HW> Oh, you think you can kill me? AHAHAHAHAHA. You haven't even gotten a single point of experience this whole game. And, really, the only reason I haven't killed you myself is because I promised Kecleon I wouldn't. In fact, that was why he joined us in the first place. He promised us he would serve us faithfully and loyalty until the end, if we would just promise to spare your life.
<Porygon> :O!
<HW> So sorry about all that. Now, if you don't mind me, I'm off to go blackmail some more people. See you later~ <3
<Porygon> ... my brother... ;~; Man, I was such an asshole to him, too.
<Drohn> Well, don't cry too much. It's not your fault; it's DNA's fault.
<Porygon> I just feel so useless! I couldn't even get us reinforcements without them turning into traitors and killing all of your soldiers.
<Athena> Yeah, your track record's not so great, but it's the thought that counts, right? We're your new resistance, so just forget those other guys. And we've yet to lose a battle, despite being less than a dozen people fighting in hostile territory against a million soldiers.
<Porygon> Well, thanks.
<Random Guy> Hey, Prince Drohn! Camo's back and she says that CJ died in battle against DNA.
<IE> Ohshi- Damnit, I warned him!
<Camo> Yeah, I saw him go down myself. And I'm not feeling too great either. But at least I made it back here to give you this. It's Redy, one of the gems you need for the Fire Emblem.
<Drohn> Oh, hey, cool! Only 2 more gems needed for the fetch quest, and we haven't even started fetching them yet.
<Camo> And I have some other good news too, maybe. Our scouts are reporting that DNA has retreated back to the capital.
<Porygon> The other dynasts from the old resistance are pulling back too.
<Athena> I guess it's not that surprising. After all, we did take out 2 of their generals.
<Drohn> Well, that makes our next push clear. Time to head for the capital! We're gonna kill DNA once and for all!

And so we headed on our way back towards the north of the continent and the original country of Valm where DNA calls home. Thanks to the splitting up of the armies of the resistance and DNA's retreat, there wasn't much stopping us on our way there, so we were able to have a relatively relaxing journey back north.

<PMJ> Oh, Drac, I finished mending your clothes from those sword tears. ^_^
<Drac> Much gratefulness! You are too kindly to Drac.
<PMJ> I think you know why. ^_~
<Drac> Yes, Drac has been seeing many of the pretty lady's hints. But Drac is being not quite ready to face truth!
<PMJ> Oh? Why not?
<Drac> If Drac asks PMJ to marry him then they will have to go riding on Minerva together, and Drac still has fear of height places! Been training in trees while we camp, but is not good enough.
<PMJ> I should think that the best way to get used to flying would be to try it directly. Don't you agree, Minerva?
<Minerva> *squawk!*
<Drac> In that case, will you be accepting of lovely wedding ring?
<PMJ> Yes! <3
<Drac> <3
...
<IE> Oh, mom, there you are!
<Athena> Hullo, IE.
<IE> I got something for you at the market while we were back near that port down.
<Athena> Oh? It's not another dress, is it?
<IE> Yep!
<Athena> Oh boy. >.>
<IE> Open it up! :D
<Athena> Awww, it's a little baby dress!
<IE> Yeah, I noticed you were looking at the baby clothes, probably trying to find something for mini-IE back at home.
<Athena> Yeah, I was. It's hard to resist. Baby clothes are so cute!
<IE> Well, I figured that, you know, since it's me and all, I might as well pick out something that I know I would like.
<Athena> Thank you! That was super thoughtful.

This will get us their kid, though we're not using him. Paralogue 17 is also unlocked! This is the level were we can recruit Tiki. Please vote for your choice(s)! If no one really cares much, which seems to be the case, I'll probably wait until we recruit Nah.

Player Notes:

Another restart thanks to Light being a glass cannon. I would probably care more if it hadn't been for the fact that all the level-ups I'd gotten so far this chapter had been mediocre at best. Though, I had gotten an Aversa's Night from one of the sparkly tiles, so it was kind of sad to lose that.

Of course, as soon as I type that, Drohn gets a crappy level in the new playthrough. And then IE does, too. And then Keeper. This chapter just hates me.

I sent PMJ/Drac to the left and Keeper/Celever to the right with PP and TT also taking right though staying in the back for the most part. Athena/IE led the center with Drohn/Cinesra behind and Light taking the rear and staying out of range as much as possible to save her pretty face from being smashed in again. She mostly healed, though she did get a revenge kill on the same unit that killed her the first time around and didn't take a single point of damage, so that was nice. Had to stall a bit at the end to make sure TT could get all the chests, but worth it. I totally forgot there was a special conversation between Drohn and Kecleon if they fought; I just sent Drohn to kill him because everyone else was 7/8+ and he was only 6 so I figured I'd let him get the kill, then decided to include the convo anyway for fun.

Light is up to Lv. 10 now if people want to vote to reclass her. Otherwise, she's doing a pretty bang up job as a Valk. Other people will be getting there soon, too. Athena would have gotten more points except that Drohn was Aether/critting everything so she hardly even got any back-end exp points. I've decided to split the Second Seal section into 2 so it's easy to spot by skimming who can reclass into promoted classes now.

I was trying to get both Drac/PMJ and Keeper/Celever to get as many shared kills as they could in hopes of getting them up to S, but we're still waiting on Nah. Should be close at least, probably one more chapter will be enough for the S.

Due to long Easter weekend, I might not be posting any new chapters on Friday this week or Monday next week; depends on what hubby and I end up doing.

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Chapter 18

Chapter 19: Wait, we're already fighting DNA?

<Keeper> Hay Celever!
<Celever> Hay Keeper~ ^_^
<Keeper> I think I found a solution to your problem!
<Celever> You mean you found me a manakete friend? :O
<Keeper> Not yet, but I know how we can find at least one and possibly more!
<Celever> Oh? :3
<Keeper> First, you have to accept this.
<Celever> A wedding ring?
<Keeper> Yep! The first step is getting married. Then we can have kids, and those kids will be manaketes!
<Celever> That's such an amazing idea! :D
<Keeper> Even better, we know that Lucina had a bunch of other comrades that came back in time with her. Chances are that our kid will be one of them, so we won't even have to wait until they get old or whatever, we can just find where they came back into our world.
<Celever> Brilliant! You're the best husband ever, Keeper. <3
<Keeper> <3

Keeper of Night and Celever attained Support Level S!

SLowly but surely we made our way north to the country of Valm. Surprisingly enough, we didn't see any sign of DNA's soldiers the entire time, even when we crossed into the original countries borders. Eventually we made our way to the walls of the capital itself, and still no sign of anyone.

<Drohn> This is so weird. You'd think we've had seen some sign of his huge ass army by now.
<Athena> I think they all might have retreated into the castle for a siege.
<Drohn> But still, you'd think we'd have seen some sign by now. I wonder what they're thinking...

Meanwhile, inside Valm Castle...

<Haunted Water> Ahahahahahaha, they're falling to my trap. Do you see them, Excellus?
<Cervantes> *mustache puns*
<HW> Soon, the traitors to the resistance and the remains of Kecleon's forces will show up from behind and slaughter those Ylissean fools. They never stood a chance against my brilliance!
<Cervantes> *more mustache puns*
<HW> Even better, we won't have to lift a single finger! All of the messy fighting and dying will be done outside between those fools and we'll be safe inside.
<Cervantes> *even more mustache puns*
<HW> ... I don't even know why I bother talking to you.
<DNA> Hey, 'sup Cervantes.
<Cervantes> 'Sup Lord DNA.
<DNA> Who is the pinnacle of man, in body, mind, and spirit? Who is greater than the gods?
<Cervantes> You, of course.
<DNA> Well, it doesn't seem to be that obvious to Haunted Water over here.
<HW> Wait, hold up, now! I didn't mean any offense to you, my glorious master.
<DNA> Glory is won on the battlefield! Glory is meeting your enemy's eyes and watching the hope drain away with his life... Glory is not won holed up in a castle with plots and cowardly schemes. And I'll be dead before I let some dynast farm lord take today's glory in my stead. *leaves to prepare for battle*
<Cervantes> Ahahahahaha, pwned. *follows DNA*
<HW> :| Well, you guys charge ahead into messy battles, I'll just stay in here where it's safe... >_>

Before Drohn and I could storm the capital's gates, they opened before us, issuing a huge stream of soldiers with DNA himself at their head. He was dressed in bright red armor with horns on his helmet and rode a huge, magnificent horse.

<DNA> You do your sister's legacy proud, Prince! But humanity already has a savior. A conqueror who broke stronger men than you when they refused to bow. Warriors of Valm! Ride with me now! Together we still stamp out this final pack of insurgents and unite the world!

And then battle was joined. Drohn, Lucina, Cinesra, Light, and I took the center, while I sent Celever, Keeper, TT, and Palutena to hold the right flank and PMJ and Drac to hold the left. We took shelter where we could find it in trees and small forts, as the ranks of DNA's smashed themselves against us in a full-out offensive. A particularly large building dominated the center of the battlefield and I sent Drohn and Lucina around to the right while Cinesra, Light and I took the left, cautiously working forward. Once the Valm soldiers were thinned out enough, Drohn and I went forward together to challenge DNA himself.

<DNA> I don't know why you bother resisting, but at least you came to fight me yourself like a man.
<Drohn> You don't know why I'm resisting you? Honestly? You're slaughtering hundreds and thousands of people and trying to conquer everything you can get your greedy hands on. That's like the exact opposite of peace.
<DNA> I would end the reign of the gods, and you object on moral grounds?! Blood is spilled in any new birth, Prince. And in many a just cause, as you know...
<Drohn> There is no cause that excuses the crap you're doing, none. You've broken so many laws that my head spins just thinking about.
<DNA> Look at you! Are you not ashamed? Your mind is filled with nothing but secondhand beliefs. You dance upon the stage of your gods like a mindless puppet! THAT is what I reject: being a slave to tradition, to obligation. The old ways. Damn the gods! Damn their fates and their destinies! I will have true freedom! And man who offers less is my enemy.
<Drohn> Look, stop with the evil villain monologues already, okay? I'm not really sure if I believe in destiny either, but I do believe in justice, and my sword in your gut is the only justice I'm looking for now.
<DNA> Ha ha ha! Better, Prince. Much better! Be not an agent of someone else's justice, but justice itself! Now, let us fight as two great men, freed of their gods.

Before Drohn could react, DNA rushed forward with a jab of his sword, but I managed to nudge him out of the side just in time. Both Drohn and I retaliated with sword and magic alike, but DNA was a mighty foe and refused to go down easily. Just when it looked like we had the upper hand, his remaining soldiers barged in and they made their escape back into the capital, slamming the gates shut behind them.

<Porygon> Dammit! You were so close. :\
<Drohn> Man, his soldiers are incredibly loyal.
<IE> Uh, dad? You might want to turn around....
<Drohn> Ohshi- where did those guys come from?
<Porygon> It's the remains of the resistance and the rest of my brother's army...
<Athena> But look! They're green, not red! That means they're allies!
<Drohn> Well, I'll be. Looks like they turned to our side for sure.
<Porygon> ... my brother... they must have found out about Kecleon and his sacrifice...
<Camo> Well, whatever the reason, I'm damn glad they're here.
<Drohn> Me too, this means we can leave them in charge of the siege of the capital for a bit while we go complete some sidequests.
<Porygon> ... wait, what? You would leave us?
<Drohn> Just for a bit. We've been piling up sidequests left and right, but now seems like a good time to take a break from this war and do some traveling. Celever, you said you were planning on having dragon babies soon. IE, did you have any manakete comrades back in the future?
<IE> Yeah, Celever's daughter was a part of our group. Actually, all of your guys had kids that I hang out with.
<Drohn> Well, that's our first step then. Camo, Porygon, can I leave you guys in charge of the siege while we're gone?
<Porygon> I know these people and Camo knows war. So, I guess we should be fine.
<Drohn> Excellent! See you soon~

Player Notes:

Another restart thanks to Light being a glass cannon. In fact, I just kept that line from last chapter because the same thing happened. There was one guy who could potentially kill her that Cinesra/Athena failed to kill and so I sent Light to take him out, but she whiffed an 80% hit chance. Cinesra got the kill like he should have second time around, so everything was fine.... or at least it should have been until Keeper couldn't withstand the pounding of a dozen guys at once. We've now had our first double restart! I ended up swapping so that Celever was in the front that enemy phase. She's not hitting as hard as Keeper was, but is much bulkier.

Otherwise, the level went pretty smooth once it got going. Almost everyone rushes you the first enemy phase, so after that, it was very easy pickings. Drac was getting Sols almost every single attack even though he never took a point of damage; he and PMJ are a very strong team, so long as there's no magic around. Boss DNA does move which is kind of worrisome since you can't gauge how well people will fight against him, so I erred on the side of caution and put Athena and Drohn together to take him out. It took 2 full rounds, but Drohn walked away without a scratch. PP and TT kind of derped around most of the level because they were deployed with Keeper/Celever and I wanted them to get their S today for sure so they sucked up most of the kills.

Speaking of which, now that Keeper/Celever are finally an item, we can go pick up our last party member and complete some of those sidequests. I find it kind of awesome and hilarious that we're doing this right now when we just beat DNA for the first time and have him trapped in the capital. Just about to beat a huge boss? PERFECT TIME FOR SIDEQUESTS. We have 7 in total planned, one for each of the kids and one for Tiki, plus the DLC chapter. Feel free to speak up if you'd like to see any more DLC chapters or if you have a preference for order.

Drac and Athena also have both joined the ranks of people who can be reclassed to different promoted classes now that they're both Lv.10, and many others are close, so start some suggestions if you have ideas.

Due to long Easter weekend, I might not be posting any new chapters on Friday this week or Monday next week; depends on what hubby and I end up doing.

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Chapter 18

Paralogue 16: Playing this one for real for once

<Drohn> So, uh, remind me again how we ended up on an island off the eastern coast of Plegia in a creepy abandoned house?
<Athena> Don't blame me! You're the one who decided we were going to go off and do a bunch of sidequests now.
<Celever> Besides, silly, we need to find my daughter so I have someone to play with!
<Drohn> Yeah, it'll be nice for IE to have a proper battle partner, too. Athena and I have been passing her back and forth, but it always leaves someone unpaired up.
<Light> Whereby "someone" you mean "me." I am tired of spending my time in battle alone and unprotected!
<Athena> Yeah, I'm sick of that, too.
<Keeper> Well, I just hope the rumours are correct and that our daughter really is around here somewhere. Though I guess hanging out in a cool spooky house is its own reward.
<Drohn> Wait, I just heard a girly scream. EVERYONE GRAB YOUR SWORDS. OR MAGIC. OR WHATEVER.

As it turned out, the haunted house really was haunted, with ZOMBIES. We rushed up to the third floor of the manor, paired up, and the proceeded down the corridors, taking out enemies as they rushed us. There seemed to be some kind of enchantment placed on the house, since walls collapsed and reformed at will and there were few regular doors. However, in one of the southern rooms, Celever found just the person she was looking for.

<Celever> Ohmygosh, she's so tiny and cute!
<SylveonsAndEspurrs> Speak for yourself. o_o;
<Celever> Hey, don't talk back to your mother that way!
<SAE> Wait... are you Celever?
<Celever> Nice guess!
<SAE> Mom! :D
<Keeper> And don't forget your beloved dad Keeper, too!
<SAE> It's so wonderful to meet you both. I'm SylveonsAndEspurrs.
<Celever> Wait, what? I thought you'd be a manakete like me... :<
<SAE> I am a manakete. SylveonsAndEspurrs is my name. I guess you and dad couldn't decide on what to name me so you gave me both names at once.
<Celever> That's a confusing name...
<SAE> And whose fault is that?!
<Celever> How the heck should I know?
<SAE> ... Dad, has she always been this slow?
<Keeper> Yep! ^_^
<Celever> Anyway, let's go fight and stuff!

With SAE safely in tow, we continued to make our way through the manor. SAE and IE partnered up while I sent TT and Palutena to go raid for chests like usual. Sorcerers deeper in the manor kept flinging long-range spells at us, but they had horrible accuracy and never managed to hit a single time. We went relatively slowly, letting SAE get some battle experience and get used to how we fight things. The moving walls were kind of annoying, but eventually we made it, and we even let SAE take out the boss.

<Drohn> Well, SAE, i hope you're not attached to this big creepy house because you're coming with us.
<SAE> Nope, that's cool, I'd be happy to come along with you! This house smells funny after the risen invasion anyway.
<Celever> I'm so glad you're here! Come, cry tears of joy with me.
<SAE> Mother, compose yourself. You are a dragon. You're making me look bad. -_-;
<Keeper> You better get used to it, SAE. She cries aaaaaall the time.
<SAE> ...

And so we completed our battle party finally. We were still planning on going and collecting the rest of the kids; after all,m it'd be mean to just ignore them. They could be our cheerleaders or something. I guess. I don't think Drohn's really thought this plan out that well, but he's just so happy about the sidequests that it's hard to say no.

<Celever> I finally have my manakete playmate! Come play with me SAE! :D
<SAE> No thanks, I'm reading.
<Celever> ... that's not fun. :/
<SAE> It's very useful for helping out in battle! I know I have a lot of catching up to do before I'll be on par with you guys, after all. You might learn a few things yourself!
<Celever> *looks at page* Nope, too many words, not enough pictures. Let's go play in the woods instead!
<SAE> Mother... you *do* know we're in the middle of a war, right?
<Celever> Of course I do! Playing during the war is my job! :D
<SAE> ...
<SAE> Well, uh, you go do your job then. I'm just going to... go read my book over there. >_> *walks off*
<Keeper> Hey, SAE, what's wrong?
<SAE> All mother does is play all day. What the hell is up with that? How can you even stand that childishness?
<Keeper> Funny, I think you guys are pretty similar in some ways! But I love your mother just the way she is.
<SAE> You know, you're just enabling her frivolousness by acting like this. I don't even understand what you see in her! Unless...you rushed into marriage for some reason? Like you got her—
<Keeper> Nope! Definitely not that.
<SAE> That loud, interrupting denial doesn't sound fake at all. Nope. ¬_¬
<Keeper> No, no, no. I was well aware of her frivolous side. I find it...charming. Yeah, that's it. Charming. Anyway, got to go, see you late! *runs*

Please vote for your choice(s)! If a suggestion gets 2 separate votes from different sources (posts, not likes), the promotion/change will happen before the next chapter. The only exception to this rule is any unit who hits Lv. 20 in either class, in which case they must be sealed before the next chapter, no matter how many votes.

Current Suggestions:

Promotions:

Class Changes:
Celever -> DK/GR (@30)

Paralogues: It's time to catch up on our sidequests! If you have a preference for order, feel free to speak up, otherwise we'll be getting Nah first and then just kind of derping our way around.

DLC, Wireless Menu, & Shopping: Current Gold: 24,462

DLC votes: Like promotion/reclassing, 2 votes means yes
Hot Spring Scramble (2) - (after Nah) conversations and stuff between characters, also some special art
Lost Bloodlines (1) - (after C20) Enables us to get a Dread Scroll which gives an extra class option to any of our male units.

Feel free to suggest any levels you'd like to see done, or second any existing suggestions!

Player Notes:

Title of this chapter is a reference to the fact that the last few times I've played this level I've just cheesed it by killing the boss with Mire. >_>

Today I got a Support convo unlock between... Drohn and Olivia? I guess they must have had a lot of relationship boosting Barracks conversations.

I'm so glad the member we ended up using for Nah had an interesting enough name that I could spin her join conversation amusingly and still keep a lot of the same dialogue. Really, given how weird some member names translate to the names of real people, I kind of wish there were more name conversations.

As far as the actual battle goes, this chapter really is a pain, even if it's not super difficult. Just that the opening and closing portals are really awkward. I mostly focused on getting SAE as much exp as possible, which is how she's already at Lv. 18. It's kind of disappointing that neither she nor IE will really get much out of fighting together but stat boost but OH WELL. She wasn't doing too bad, really, especially with IE's DS+ skill helping out to kill things.

We're getting more and more characters up to that sweet Lv. 10 spot, so feel free to request reclasses. Celever is also really close to hitting her level cap; she'll probably need a reclass (or restart) after next chapter, so feel free to think on that.

Due to long Easter weekend, I might not be posting any new chapters on Friday this week or Monday next week; depends on what hubby and I end up doing.

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 16

I suggest switching SAE to Troubodar (the nurse with axes, right <3?).

And SAE is hilarious xD

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 16

Troubadour is a healer on a horse. That's what Light was before we promoted her to Valkyrie. You're thinking of "War Cleric" which is a promoted class, though you're correct at least in that that is one of the classes that Troubadour promotes into. Sadly, SAE can't be a War Cleric until/unless:

1) She reclasses into Troubadour and then promotes to War Cleric at Lv. 10 or higher, which would probably be a while because healers level slowly, though I could always Heal/Ward/Rescue spam in one of the sidequests to level her up quickly if you guys decide to go this route.
2) She reclasses into a different class, then promotes at Lv. 10 to whatever promoted class, then reclasses at Lv. 10 promoted to War Cleric. A longer path, but wouldn't require healer lock.
3) We wait until she hits Lv. 30 Manakete and then reclass her, which is more or less what we're doing with Celever right now.

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 16

I vote to promote myself to Wyvern Rider when I hit level 30. Regular mages are drab, and this way I can play with my wyvern having such a killjoy for a daughter. I must have raised her better than that >:{

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 16

I'm sure you probably would have put more effort into raising her if it weren't for the apocalyptic future ruled over by an evil godlike dragon.

Also, if we're waiting until Lv. 30, you may as well vote for Wyvern Lord instead of Rider, since Lord is the promoted version.

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 16

Oooo Healer with a Horse sounds fun as well (after we ditched poor ProfessorLight). My vote still stands :)

I'll vote for Wyvern Lord instead then. Shows how much I know about this game :v

As for reclassing, boooo. I wanna be a dragon all the time o^o

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 15

Paralogue 15: The terrifying child of TT and PP

<TT> So, what sidequest do we get to take part in today? Dragon slaying? Pie baking?
<Drohn> Slaver hunting!
<Cinesra> Wait, you guys have slavers on this continent? Seriously? Why has this never been mentioned before.
<Celever> Well, there were slavers after me when you guys rescued me, remember?
<Cinesra> That was Plegia! Of course there are bad guys there. That's the bad country, remember? But this is Ferox!
<Keeper> Well, so long as it gives us more people to kill, it's cool.
<Drohn> Looks like they're chasing that scrawny girl into a deserted fort. Let's go after them!

At Drohn's urging, we ran forward into the forest. SAE and IE took the lead towards the fort where the girl had taken refuge while the rest of us followed and TT and Palutena shielded our rearguard. After a small mishap in trying to find a way around the fort near the river, we ended up taking the back way around where the girl joined our ranks without a word, injuring flyers with her bow and arrow. We eventually made our way through the forest and across the bridge to the ruins where the slaver captain was holed up, and SAE took him down while the rest of us rejoiced in a sidequest well done.

<Noire> Ohhay guys. Thanks for saving me!
<IE> Noire, it's you!
<Drohn> Is she one of your comrades from the future?
<IE> Yep! This is Noire, our archer. Not that you'd guess her talents if you compared her to her parents...
<Noire> Mom! Dad!
<Palutena> What kind of dark sorcery is this? o_o;
<Noire!> Eep! Don't hurt me! I just need to find my.... where is that stupid talisman...
<TT> >_>?
<Noire> I AM BLOOD AND THUNDER! I AM A RIGHTEOUS FURY! ...I AM YOUR FUTURE DAUGHTER!
<TT> What, seriously? You're from the future like IE and SAE?
<Palutena> What's with the talisman?
<Noire> Your own handiwork! Wrought to steel the mewling heart of your coward daughter! In its strength did I find blessed escape from grief and solitude! Fear of death and killing, too, it drove from me, until I became an avatar of retribution! Only by clinging to it have I survived the crushing desolation of a ruinated future! BWAAA HA HA HA HA!
<Palutena> Yep, sounds like something I'd do. Can I see that? *yoink*
<Noire> M-My talisman? But...
<Palutena> My, this is a nasty little number. The future me is good. ...And very, very bad. Hee hee. Hmm... You have my blood, right? I'm going to need a bit of it back.
<TT> Ohgod, what did I marry myself into...

Player Notes:

Today is Palutena's birthday! Well, not the real one, but the Tharja one. Her birthday present from the Barracks was... a Balmwood Staff. Well, at least that's useful, if not for PP herself anyway.

Today's chapter is pretty short. I was actually planning on doing 2 paralogues in one update (like I did for 2/3), but then Celever capped and I really want to get her sealed before I move on, plus everyone (aside from SAE) can reclass to different promoted classes now, so I figured I may as well open that all up to suggestions as well.

Celever is sitting currently at one vote each for Wyvern Lord, Griffon Rider, and Dark Knight. We also have the option to simply restart her as a Lv. 1 Manakete all over again as well. Make sure to put in your vote!

SAE was the main star this chapter in terms of killing dudes and gaining exp. Having her paired to IE is at least nice in the sense that IE's boots mean it's very easy for them to get around, which came in extra useful when I forgot that you couldn't go around Noire's fort to the left (unless you can fly, anyway) so we had to back track through the forest and around the fort the long way. Since I knew were weren't planning on using Noire, I mostly just had her weaken enemies for easier pickings. SAE has definitely been gaining exp nice and fast, though, and she's almost caught to the levels of the rest of the team.

Once again, due to long Easter weekend, I might not be posting any new chapters on Friday this week or Monday next week; depends on what hubby and I end up doing. If I have enough free time to play and post, I will, but no promises.

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 15

Ah, ah, ah...

Promote Celever to W Lord please ^-^

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 15

Also voting to switch SaE into a Thief. Maybe she'll be more interesting that way.

Unless there's a promoted thief class at level 30 or something, in which case I vote for that :p

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 15

Thieves promote into Assassins or Tricksters, but a character has to actually have been in the Thief class to have the ability to open doors/chests since that's a skill you gain at Lv. 1 Thief.

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 15

Let's turn her into a Trickster then. She doesn't need to learn how to open chests, it'll make her even more boring! :v

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 15

I see you turned TT into a trickster....

2837453-good_good.jpg

RE: Fire Emblem Awakening: PokéBeach Member Edition! Paralogue 15

The choice of the people. :p He looks so dorky as a Trickster, though. That colour pallet doesn't suit him at all.

PS: Celever as a Wyvern Lord seems to be our final choice. I'm starting the next chapter now but not sure if I'll finish it to play today, so I'm posting this here in case.
