Objective
To create at least one pokemon, according to the theme the judges give each month, with these criteria in mind:
- Coherence with the existing pokemon
Fakemon don't exist in a vacuum; all pokemon created will be judged on how well they fit in pokemon's design philosophy and style.
- Thoroughness
All submissions must be well thought; not all features need to be accounted for, but the judges can (and will) ask for further explanations on some features as part of their judgement.
- Competitive viability
The pokemon don't need to be on any specific tier (unless specified by the theme), but their movesets and abilities must be properly analyzed as part of the design process; a balance between competitive ability and design is ideal, although not required.
- Compliance with the theme
Each month, the judges will give a theme to the participants to make a pokemon. Pokemon that don't follow the theme will not be considered for judging.
