Inactivity and the source of it.

I'm referring to people who CAN use grammar and spelling, but choose not to put in the extra effort.

I know who WPM is referring to; me. :F

Well, it seems that the situation is becoming better now. Yay.

im a pretty good speller but i mess up when typing sometimes. Im the 10th best speller in my school!

Well, if you look back 10 posts ago: blastoise king's post...
BK, you know I have pointed that out before (if you remember), well, now you hear it from WPM. Sometimes it can be a pain to decode your posts, so maybe consider this :) thank you.

About spelling and grammar of noobs, so true, although there are noobs who use decent spelling, nooby nerds most of the time, most noobs seem to be too lazy, whether it's typing the extra comma, or pressing that shift key. This laziness also explains why they don't want to read long posts.
But do realise you can't see everybody with bad spelling and grammar as a noob, foreign people can be here, and they sometimes don't fully master the language. In my class for example, it sometimes makes me laugh when some of my classmates try to talk English. Well, even teachers, I once got bad grades for a speaking assignment because I was talking too fast -_- (to me that's a sign of mastering the language, but my teacher at the time thought the rest of the class wouldn't understand, so, well, got punished for being too good at it...) But that's totally beside the point.

Why on Earth are they teaching English in Belgium? Shouldn't it be Dutch, French or German? :S

Lol, referring to me. :F

quite possibly :p

It's not like they give English everywhere, but, well, it was English or German, so you see? And it was pretty convenient to go there anyways.

Well, we always have to learn French or Dutch (depending on if you were born in the Dutch part or French part, both need to learn the other language), then depending on your school, you have to learn English or German, in my friend school they 1st give German, and English later. In my school, you start with English, then you can pick either German or Spanish, but this only if you do modern languages. Then there's also Latin and ancient Greece. Yes, we speak a lot of languages...

But let's not get off topic now, ok?

Well, I ope the topic's alright. I had to get off it for a while so that it could take a break in holding our weights. :F

So what do you think about noobs? Do they purposely spam/be a noob or they are naturally nooby as they have not much experience with forums?

I know many foreign people that don't have "correct grammar," but are definately not n00bs. Another thing to consider is that n00bs might use poor grammar because they think it's cool. Additionally, n00bs never read long threads. That's exactly why making every new member read Señor Noobnerd's guide will be useless. The thing that get's me the most is when n00bs randomly ask questions about things that are already mentioned in the first post or throughout the thread. This happens all the time in the Wi-Fi League and Pokémon Battle Arena forums.

My guide was meant for non-noobs who want to learn. Never a noob would read it, no, never.

I know. The only reason why I mentioned that is because that had been brought up earlier in the thread. Your guide is more of a reference for formatting.

Take Antikrozz for example. He doesn't use correct English when posting, but it's not because he's a n00b, it's becuase he lives in Mexico. He just hasn't mastered the English language yet. He's a wonderful trainer, and he know a lot about battling.

Not every non-USA or England country does not teach English as the first language. For me, I live in Singapore, and English is my first language.

ZOMG my posts are getting shorter. :F

It's obvious that AntiKrozz and EIJI are not taught English as their first language. Not only did they both admit it, but I've also seen them right in their respective first language (Spanish and Japanese). Despite the fact that they don't use "proper grammar," they are probably less n00bish than 90% of the members on PokeBeach.

All the n00bs must be rubbing off on us. :F

Malaysians use English as a second language.
It's either Chinese (Mandarin) or English as the second, isn't it? But whatever it is, we need more mods! :F

I think English is the 2nd language in Malaysia since not everybody can speak Mandarin in Malaysia. About needing more mods, I think the best idea is to get a hyper active Mod that comes online everyday(I'm not saying the mods now are not active), it's just that we need a mod that can work like a "cop".. :D

Then make a show about it named "mods", where they follow the everyday life of a moderator, from beating up noobs to cleaning up posts :O

More mods wouldn't hurt, but picking the mods is probably a real pain, if the mod would fool around, abuse his powers or stuff like that, it's going to leave a serious scar on the forums, we don't want to rush into anything and get bad mods *insert bad cops mods team song*, do we?
