You're telling me you can kill a Gothitelle without a Reuniclus in play, but not a Reuniclus without Gothitelle in play?

Meaty said:From my experience, playing only one basic(even if it has 70 HP) when you have two in hand is a bad idea. I have gotten donked by trying to save things like Uxie and Jirachi and learned to not try to get so lucky. I would start with the Tyrogue active and Tepig benched. Even if you won't be able to get communication, you might donk(or T2 donk, if they have a yanmega or magnemite and have a really bad hand) and Tyrogue always has free retreat.
MetaArmor said:Why allow them to get an early KO at all? You do not have twins on you and no way to refresh your hand for one at the moment. and I doubt they will be able to OHKO tepig T1 but KOing tyrouge T1 is a possibility.
Vulpix Yolk said:There is this thing you have to do sometimes called man up and take a slight risk. If they have a Tyrouge (which they wouldn't most of the time) you have the same chance of getting a kill as you do of getting killed. If you keep the Tyrouge in hand, you could get ZPST donked. Both basics need to be put down, might as well put the one with a free retreat and the potential to do something in your active. If they take a prize, tough luck, it happens sometimes.

If you don't run cleffa, start Tyrogue, bench Tepig, stall with Mischevious Punch, and pray they don't have catcher.

I would start Solosis and bench Oddish. Hoping they KO solosis, I would use twins and get a Vileplume and a Pichu. Use the rainbow to retreat Oddish and then evolve him, and end the turn by using Pichu to fill up my bench. Twins again for rare candy and PONT/Juniper to evolve to Reuniclus and get a hand refresh next turn.
