Is anyone else worried about the next few sets?

^ i remember when base set charizard used to be THE CARD to have...i still have one. now its nothing compared to like...well i guess todays charizard lol

^Oh don't worry, we definitely remember (my brother had 2 of them) ;)

I started playing when DF came out. I could build a deck that was considered rogue, and win with it. Back then, people didn't interchange "rogue" and "bad" like so many[AKA: arrogant players, with no creativty or soul] do today.

I am looking forward to the [B\W] era, and hope the have something like EX or Prime[Either one is fine]. I would perfer EX since at least there is a draw back to playing it though. At the same time if I am playing Primes I wouldn't want the EX draw back. Any way EX is not likely since they have Expert Belt out already.

there should be a "remember the old days" forum section. man that thing would get a ton of hits consistently. I think I'll end my "old days" of topic posts with saying that once I opened a pack of the base set 2 reprint series and got a charizard. the shop owner saw that and offered me 5 boosters for my charizard. I took the trade, and pulled 2 blastoise and a venusaur. he was rather upset since I also opened those in the shop. so for $5 I got 2 blastoise and a venusaur. plus some good trainers like pokemon trader and breeder. I was super happy.

Off topic: lol^

I was only cllecting back then, but I still have 4 Cahrizards. My cosuin has a 1st edtion Charizard :D.

like 3 months ago i bought a bunch of base set and fossil and base set 2 packs. best i got was a blastoise. but all the jungle and fossil i got was 1st edition.

im gonna laugh when they surprise us with BW on as the next rotation lol. everyone would be like whaaaaaat and they would have to rethink all of there deck ideas lol

That would SUCK!!!!!!!! Imagine this:

"Hey guys! Thanks for pouring lots of money into our game so you could have fun! As a special thanks we are roataing all of your favorite cards so you start with 1 Okish set and an other that you don't know about yet to play for the first couple tournments. Have fun!"

It would be like "New Coke" all over again.

^ rofl. shows you for buying singles lol. i at least hope for HGSS on. teach those Lux___ players lol. although pretty much all staples would be out the window...

Most likely RR on, so Luxray is in and Garchomp is in. But...

Out:
Uxie
BTS
Crobat G
Houchcrow G
SP engine :p
DGX
Sableye
Gyrados

So, haha to you Lux\Dialga Compers! You Gyradosers! You Sable\Chen lockers! And you Lux\Ray thingies!

*Ahem* Good day.

^uuuuugh with BTS gone jumpluff decks cripple...thats what im running :(. im sure BW decks or even the cards wont even become popular until they do eather HGSS on or BW on. people will just go on with there normal decks not teching in any new cards at all lol

Lot of decks need cards from before RR, so it will be alot slower meta game....Perfect for Garchomp SV.

I started playing when DF came out. I could build a deck that was considered rouge, and win with it. Back then, people didn't interchange "rouge" and "bad" like so many[AKA: arrogant players, with no creativty or soul] do today.
I've never heard of a "red deck" in my life, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Remember, "rouge" means "red".

^Sorry, I suck at spelling. Could you tell me the proper way to spell it.

EDIT: Thank you. Disclameir wasn't for you, it was for people that fit the disclamier's description. I din't think you did.

*Disclamier* Just because I am a poor speller doen't mean I am not smart. I get stero typed like that some times, then they see my standerized test scores and the sterotyper is speachless.

On topic: I think a meta were there is a BDIF is horrible. The best meta would be were you have 3 Teirs based on popularty:
Teir 1: The most played
Teir 2: Somewhat played
Teir 3: Unique

It's spelt "rogue", with the G in front. And I never implied you weren't smart - I was just bringing something to attention.
/me departs

Rouge also happens to be a shade of lipstick.
I actually like the way Pokémon's going with this. There aren't just decks where the T/S/S lines are the same; there's some individuality to each deck. It's becoming less focused on Pokémon that can do the most damage the quickest and survive the most hits, and more focused on strategies that more utilize one or two of those points- for example, most SP decks, despite not having great attack or HP, are extremely fast. MewPerior's pretty fast and deals lots of damage, but Mew just gets OHKO'd. It's the same for every deck, and in this meta, the variances are great. I think that's a good thing, personally.

I think that if they took out LostGar and SP it would be alot better though. If I go out and build a deck that counters LostGar and SP, I would be countering at LEAST half the meta. Which is realy sad.

@Scizorliscious: a shade of RED lipstick
/me flees

@scizor. its not that diverse because people see a good deck that is ruling the meta and they just copy it thus we have one deck ruling cities and states and blah blah blah. sure you could go rogue but you will just be beat because the set in stone decks just out speed you or just destroy all other decks. sure all decks have there weaknesses like mewperior mew dies to easy. Sp's are OHKOed by machamp SF (SF right?). machamp decks are beat by anything except Sp. but decks like LostGar that only have 1 weakness (well i mean 1 glaring weakness which is weakness to dark) and you exploit it but you cant beat any other decks in the format. you can only hope that everyone is playing LostGar and you are the only one at the event that has a counter for it. On a unrelated note...i notice that the meta is going to how it was when we were using base set. back then the attacks sucked and didnt do that much for a high energy cost but the abilities were amazing. just look at the first 6 primes...except donphan lol. feraligatrs attack sucks but the ability is awesome. meganium is the same and uh...well i guess typhlosion and amphy and blissey are too.

^Remeber that. I still can.
I would like you to know that at one point sable lock was rogue. As was Blissly Bannete a couple years ago. Also, keep in mind that I have won and top cutted at many diffrent tournments playing rogue decks. I have 3+ decks that work just as wellin this format as metagame decks that are rogue.
