Is vileplume going to be that rare?

So I woke up this morning and looked at Troll&Toad to buy the stuff from Undaunted I wanted. They're already sold out of VIleplumes. People bought all 50-ish between the times of midnight and 7:00 AM. Which brings me to my question: Do you think they're going to be worth that much down the road? Maybe like PA Spiritomb?

Personally I think its a terrible card because a stage 2 that can't attack is too hard to get out.

It's over hyped IMO and will probably go down the same road as Rampardos PL. Not alot of decks can use Vileplume and those that do need to used a complete Supporter based trainer line which just puts them at the mercy of the Gengar SF plus Dialga G will probably rise to counter Vileplume making Vileplume a lame-duck.

DGX isnt gonna do anything Because of level down on Gengar X.

Not every Vileplume-based deck will be Gengar though. Theres stuff like Muk, Mismagius, Bellossom who will all enjoy the use of Vileplume.

You don't need DGX. SP's answer to Vileplume...

Dragon Rush with Garchomp (while struggling under trainer lock), Garchomp gets knocked out (couldn't play Poke Turn) bring up Lux, Bright Look, retreat to Uxie, attach DCE or use Galactic Switch and regular energy attach, Level Up Uxie, play down Lucario GL, Zen Blade. Bye Bye Vileplume, we hardly knew ya.

They should go up in price until people realize that its like every other stage two tech (Nidoqueen RR, Dusknoir DP...) which are hard to get out IF there is no constant draw like Claydol.

True But it is possible with Gengar

i think its sold out only because it was $0.99. my thought is people are stocking up and reselling as vileplume will be worth alot more than $1 later

That's slightly unrealistic. But, an easier AND more realistic option is:
Bright look, uxie x, zen blade

Yeah, I get out Gengar AND vileplume out by T2. My worst test was Gengar T2 and Vileplume T4.

People run more than one Vileplume for recuvory.

I run it 2-2-2 Vileplume , I get it up T2 And i do a 4-3-3/1 Gengar X and have that up T2.

I love it, with Spiritomb its harder for decks to set up. I don't need to get it set up by T2 when I can slow the entire game down. (BTW I bought mine for 2 bucks at a local card shop:D)

This is what is Called a Discussion (I dont know if you have ever had one). But, I realize you are going to down every card that You cant beat but, please try adding a little bit to the discussion.

Actually if they want to Level Down DGX, then you can Spray it as DGX locks Bodies. The trainer lock wouldn't be in affect meaning sprays would be playable.

steelix_kid you do realise if dgx is in play it blocks off vileplume which means i can powerspray..

Steelix_Kid said:
Use Level-down On gengar x
once again power spray if dgx is in play
