I asked James to set us up a QT, Haunted. Once it's up, I'll show you a VERY rough beginning picture of the final evolution clock. It's very poorly drawn and not completely finished in terms of the concept, but it's a good start.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but does anyone have any ideas for the generic rodent/bird/bug? I would be happy to work with a couple people on that. Some basic ideas I have for them:
Rodent:
-hamster (combined with a pillow?)
-weasel (I don't think we've had one of these?)

That's perfect, Haunted. We can use the first QT I had if that's okay with you. I'll post the thing I attempted to make.
Any other concepts we come up with can be developed there, I guess. This way we can at least get more than one thing done. This Pokedex is going to have a lot Pokemon, anyway.
And okay for the other parts of the Pokemon, professorlight (just excited). I was thinking Natural Cure could be its Hidden Ability, though. I'm also coming up with one or two exclusive moves if you're ever interested in and would like input for the movepool. I'd love to work with you on anything for it (Grass type=my attention) Just let me know.

I guess I'm discovering this thread a little late but I can toss my creativity into it. I'm a terrible with drawing and that sort of thing, but I am good at is languages, taxonomy, mythology, mathematical probability, and calculations. I might be of some use when it comes to names and designing moves or type combinations.
Turtwig, I'll get the moves soon. I'm trying to do something with the names. At least I have the design finished until the day after tomorrow, when I'll find them hedious and redo them.
Akwila is in, too, so I guess you'll take the local bugs?

I Might be able to help you with the bug, I thought maybe a bug/dragon spider would be pretty fitting for the past (Being Monstrous and all).
PS: Aren't Sneasel and Zigzagoon based on weasels?
I saw that some one mentioned that it should be Bug/Psychic? That instantly made me think of the witch moth.

I guess I have a loose concept working in my head. Should I just go ahead and post that here? I'm little lost on how the logistics of the brain storming and team discussions are working...
Also, instead of the overdone Lepidoptera (moth/butterfly) why not try something new with like a bombardier beetle or even as simple as a house fly?
May I also suggest some sort of pixie bug thing for Bug/Fairy? That could be interesting (and it also matches with time, haha..). Whatever the result, I'm interested in even a house fly. Good luck with your bug
Haunted, I found time and also put up the baby Pokemon in the evolution chain. Let me know your thoughts!
We can have several bugs, we're not restricted to only one line, so as long as it's interesting (and rare is the uninteresting bug), it's fair game.
If you want to see guidelines, you can look at the articles in the OP, the QTs (also in the OP), and the post I made showing the grass starter I made with my team, it must be some pages back.

I'm gonna jot down some notes, and post back here later on move set, ability set and maybe an evolution line. I'm not really a spacial or pattern thinker; artistic designs just don't come to me... some one else will have to pic that up from the crude outline I will have later.
I already have a really neat concept of a moth pokemon that displays the night sky (stars and moon) on its wings like an LCD screen as camouflage, so it's prey can't spot it when they look up.

I had Bug/Dark in mind for the spider, and it could play on the common arachnophobia.
Howabout we do a spider and fly duo for the earlygame bugs? That could play out interesting.
Sneasel is based on a weasel, but I was thinking in terms of earlygame Pokemon. Plus it's not like animal concepts can only be used once (see: Bunnelby/Buneary)
And Zigzagoon is based on a raccoon.
So, I continued with the current concepts, squirrel that becomes an elf; now it also grows a little cape, isn't it cute?
The gist of it is that squixie's (squirrel+pixie) tail has hooked hairs on it, and gathers grass and flower seeds, and it covers itself with the tail to camouflage itself with the grass; elvossom (elf+blossom) and squeenidae/squeenxie (squirrel+queen+sciuridae) are rangers, and protect nature (like a more badass smokey the bear); that comes from the usual cliche of wood elves being rangers and archers in fantasy stories. I could use some help with the movepool and its signature move.
Before someone notices how girly they look, and points to the usual gender ratio of starters, remember that we are talking about elves here. the girly look is a design feature itself.
Those names are the best of what I came up with so if you have suggestions, go ahead.
Now I want to draw some pokemon but idk if i can because im not part of this. Also, I'm again sorry if this counts as spam or something since im not exactly sure if im able to contribute or not...
