RE: LOST.

Amazing episode, dare I say that the Jin/Sun moment was the saddest moment throughout all of Lost?

Odd thing is that Smokey anticipated the group would betray him, which begs the question; how was he ever planning on leaving the island when he knew he'd be blowing up the sub? Only the plane remains, but that may be rigged with bombs and Lapidus the pilot is (presumably...) dead. On note of Lapidus, while I'm a bit disappointed he's gone, I also can't really see any other way in which the directors could handle his character, because as the pilot he was instrumental to the whole "getting off the island" plot, but after that serves no purpose. So I guess I can forgive the fact that he was bumped up to main character and then killed off. I guess his death was similar to Ilana's, although not as random lol

Jack said something really interesting in the sub... I guess the group end up killing one another until one person, the candidate, remains. As the episode was entitled "The Candidate" and it was centered around Jack (who also stands out as the only guy who doesn't want to leave), it's not outrageous to assume that Jack will be the last remaining Lostie, however obvious that conclusion may be.

Interesting to note that when Smokey attacked Widmore's camp and set the group free, he didn't go after Widmore himself. I guess that a) Widmore is no longer a threat to Smokey's plans b) Smokey just didn't have the time (I don't believe that though) or c) Widmore needs to be kept alive for some reason...

RE: LOST.

Maybe Smokey is prioritizing, and figured killing the losties is more important than Widmore right now. Who knows, it might not have been Widmore who planted the bomb - it could've been Richard, Ben, and Miles??

What do you guys think Sayid meant when he told Jack "Locke wants Desmond dead, so you're going to need him, because it's going to be you, Jack". Does this mean Jack will be the one to kill Flocke? Who knows.

I do think Flocke has had this planned out for a long time, so he probably did think they would betray him. The only ways off the Island now are the Elizabeth, the plane (not good though), the Frozen Wheel, or some way we don't know of yet. We won't know what he does until 2 weeks from now though, because next week is all a flashback.

Anyone else find it funny that on the island, Locke wants to kill Jack, because he is a candidate, but in the flash-sideways timeline, Jack wants to save Locke, because he is a candidate

RE: LOST.

Yeah, I noticed that irony too, Gale.

Wow, what an explosive episode. I always figured Jack would be the one (if he is, which is highly assumed).

dmaster out.

RE: LOST.

Is LOST the one with that kid that does stuff and WINS?
LOST is a creepppy show man. DONT do drugs.

RE: LOST.

Only a few more episodes left. I did not see the last one but, I will probably see it tommorow. I hope they answer all of the questions before the ending. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

Yeah, me too. I just want to know what the purpose of the show was - what Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse's visions were when they first thought of the show. If I can find that out, I'll be satisfied.

Spoilers ahead! Stop reading here if you haven't seen 6x14

Okay, so, I'm really mad and happy and sad all at the same time.

I'm happy because Sayid got his retribution and is now respectable again, but now he's dead. I miss the badass Sayid from Season 1,2,3,4, and 5. But still, what he did was so amazing, sacrificing himself for everyone else.

Jin and Sun... was sad. The scene made me shed a few tears, and I can only imagine how mad Smokey is right now. May they rest in peace with all the other losties. :(

OKAY, SO I'M mad NOW. LAPIDUS DIED. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF HIS CHARACTER EXISTING IN SEASON 6?! Seriously, his job was to bring everyone back to the Island in Season 5. Okay, great, so he did that. Why did they PROMOTE Jeff Fahey in Season 6 to main cast, but have him say 2-3 lines at MOST per episode, then kill him off?! It seems like he was just a redshirt, and it's really stupid. I really liked Lapidus, and I always felt like they screwed up his character a lot. I'm more sad about Sayid and Frank dying than Jin and Sun. =/

In the Flash-Sideways, nothing "omg amazing" happened really. Some backstory, but nothing else.

Next week's episode is the much-anticipated Smokey/Jacob episode.

W00T :p A THIRD of the main cast died this ep..., at least, if Lapidus is dead, which I think we can assume but I still really hope not. He was one of my favs this season. Loved his oneliners!

I actually was a bit disappointed about the ending for Sun&Jin. In the ep. Sun gave Jin his ring back and at that moment I already thought: 'well their story is finished, they die" and that is exactly happened.

At leas Sayid was back to normal and revealed Desmond's faith, although everybody I've spoke to already assumed he wasn't dead.

I agree with the tought that Jack has to kill Locke, but I still think Hurley is the one who is going to replace Jacob.

Meh, we'll see. Cant wait, only two eps. and a superb finale left :(

RE: LOST.

Well, because Jin committed suicide, we can assume that either Sun or Ji Yeon is THE Kwon Candidate. When their hands separated at the end, I thought that was pretty sad.

I've heard from a few of my friends that they've heard from sources that Frank isn't dead, but I don't think that's true. He isn't important enough (unfortunately) to not die.

Only a few more days until the smoke monster flashback. :D

RE: LOST.

The Jin and Sun moment was so sad. I can't wait till the next episode when the losties are being hunted down by the locke monster. I am also sad that Sayid died :(.

RE: LOST.

Yeah me2 , and they still have to clarify the children-thingy. We have at least three baby's and Walt, why wouldn't they be important anymore? I think Lapidus is dead, but I still hope he's not^^

Maybe I'll watch this episode again somewhere next week since I still have to wait 6 days before I am able to watch Across the Sea.
Why are my Tuesdays always filled with appointments, meetings, party's and stuff^^ Can't that just wait for three more weeks :p

RE: LOST.

New episode tonight? All about Jacob/Smokey. =) Allison Janney guest stars as Jacob/Man in Black's mother. Can't wait!

The wait for the Jacob/Smokey episode is killing me.

Me too. D: A few friends are coming over to watch it with me. This might just be the second greatest moment in television history (next to LOST's finale, whether it sucks or not).

RE: LOST.

Okay, after watching that episode, I have come to the conclusion...

This show makes sense now.

So obviously, the Man in Black we've all come to know and love is not the "original" Man in Black. The "original" Man in Black is dead, and the Man in Black we've come to know and love is the smoke monster. The smoke monster is pure evil, and Jacob's job is to make sure that evil does not get out into the world. One of the candidates is the next Jacob. The smoke monster doesn't know who that is. It's either Hurley, Sawyer, or, most likely Jack. When Jacob's mom said, "Because it's going to be you, Jacob", it echoes the familiar words Sayid said to Jack next week. All arrows point to Jack.

Is Jacob bad and was MIB good? Maybe not. MIB wasn't "bad", he just wanted to leave. No problem with that. He had good reason to kill his mother too. Jacob brought all of those people to the Island for a good reason too, but that doesn't excuse Jacob for killing MIB. I think Jacob is correct; people are born tabula rasa, or, "with a blank slate". They are not bad unless they choose to be.

So we know who built the Frozen Wheel, how Jacob became the protector of the Island, and who Adam and Eve are. We don't really know what the smoke monster is yet, and what the flash-sideways is, among other things. This episode gave us some insight, but, Jacob and the actor who played young Jacob are scheduled to appear next week, so we'll see. Maybe we'll get an answer to why young Jacob and young MIB keep appearing to people.

Next week, Desmond comes back! That is all.

I was satisfied at what they did. I think I'll appreciate this episode more once we know EVERYTHING, but for now, I think they did a great job.

RE: LOST.

I have a hypothesis.

Jacob's/MIB's "mother" was a smoke monster. Not THE smoke monster, but a smoke monster. I'll post more on why I think this later. If you just stop to think about the last episode, it should come to you.

RE: LOST.

Well, that would certainly give that lady reason to kill her...

But it sucks Jacob would do that to his brother. I mean, I know he was angry and everything, but dang, it does all make sense now. It truly is worse than death...

I liked the episode. It cleared up a lot of things for me and I don't even watch a lot of this show.

dmaster out.
