Lost Link?

Well in the next set we might get some Lost Link cards. I do not like this one bit. It just a cheap way to win, and cause disturbance. Lost World is a prime example:
Each player may, during his or her turn, end the game and declare himself or herself the winner if the opponent has 6 or more Pokemon cards in his or her Lost Zone.
What's your opinion on this?

Well firstly, it could well be banned in competitive play, and secondly, it's harder to fulfil those conditions than it might sound at first, although it nay necessitate the use of specific counters in competitive decks if it isn't banned.

I think it's just fine. Sure people will have to come up with a counter for it, but do we not also need counters for other things like Machamp, Donphan, etc?

If they ban it what's the point in releasing '_- These cards won't be 'Collect only'

Huh... I just went through and looked at a lot of the cards in the Lost Link set and it seems like the set is all based on putting cards into the lost zone which I think will make the afore mentioned Lost World stupidly broken. So once this set is released all deck strategies are going to become get 6 cards into your opponent's lost zone and use a Lost World and win. This is especially possible with something like Gengar Prime. Also, most cards that are worth using in the set put cards into your own lost zone putting you closer to a loss.

So.
Japan plays with FOUR prizes, thus giving less time to get SIX pokemon in the lost zone
In Japan, Lost Zone dominates all.
So how will it NOT be broken in a SIX prizes format?

The lost zone is not only broken: it's a gimmick. I could see Magnezone and Absol getting some playtime. But that is about all :/

Edit; Maybe Lucario, being able to do alot of damage for only one DCE.

Epic. Fail. Right. Here.

We discussed this here. Basically the opinions were very pointed. People either thought it was super broken, or not workable. I'm in the former group. I hate it because I think it will ruin the game by destroying the metagame, and by replacing strategy and tactics with cheesy gimicks.

Keep in mind that they can ban lost world without banning the whole set. I think Gengar prime is still very playable without lost world as disruption. If you can get their only Luxray GL X or a couple of Garchomp C X in the lost zone you've got an easy win.

How about running non SP? The only reason people run Machamp and Donphan is because they Destroy SP. They aren't that effective against traditional stage 2 decks.

Guys its not going to be banned. Its not that gimmicky and theres not that many ways to get stuff in the lost zone effectivly. it will basically take the same ammount of time as taking 6 prizes. Not to mention that they will be focusing on lost zoning stuff and not attacking your pokemon so once you get your attacker out it should be out for the whole game.

Too all the people complaining about the cards in LL: STFU or quit. Plain and simple. I'm tired of hearing all your crying about a new deck.

In Japan, putting 6 pokes in the lost zone is faster then taking 4 prizes.

So how does putting 6 pokes lost zoned end up equally fast as taking 6 prizes?

How does this happen, may I ask?

Mew Prime, Gengar Prime. I'll admit to not knowing the EXACT lists, but using those coupled with Hunter and Spiritomb seemingly make for amazingly powerful and fast Lost Zone decks.

As was already said, they use hunter, mew prime, gengar prime, and spiritomb, but I'm fairly certain they also use omastar md to put their evos in their hand.

omastar md isnt legal there and shuffles into deck
I wasn't aware that it wasn't legal there, but it doesn't shuffle them into the deck.

Doesn't Mew Prime send a Pokémon from YOUR deck to the Lost Zone? If your point is to get stuff in your opponent's Lost Zone as fast as possible, what's a tech like Mew Prime gonna do?

It lets you use gengar prime's attacks easier than setting it up normally.
